Horrible customer service. Go to LOWE's down the street! Cashier finished with the costumer in front of me. I walked forward to pay. Not a hi. Not a nothing. Just a blank stare while he looked at the register. I thought he was busy. So I continue to wait. Until I had to ask if he was ready for me to pay. No words, just a nod. I asked about an item I was looking for and before I finished telling him what I needed. He said he didn't have it. I paid. And when my receipt came out, he tossed it to the side of my hand. I understand older people are not very happy! But u need customer service to run a store. That's all!!! read more

Get rid of Dave. I had a horrible experience today from this store I refuse to come back to this one. SORRY YOUR GLUE IS OLD!!! I bought a gel glue that even when I stuck a pen in it to jostle it, it didn't want to come out. I came in to return and possibly exchange and Dave slammed it on the counter til some came out and insulted me AND REFUSED TO REFUND ME! I went in the back to grab a contact cement and the contents were clear and settled not creamy like A new bottle should be. The original gel i got from this ace was stiff and obviously old. I went to Lowe's to get glue and behold they had NEW GLUE where the gel glue HAD MOVEMENT and the contact cement was cloudy and filled to the top. The woman I think her name is shari is always pleasant. It's a shame that someone as hateful and mean as Dave works there. This is the same Smith Ace Hardware that is located at West Paces Ferry Road. It is so much nicer than a regular Ace Hardware store. They sell home / gift items such as Scout bags. Joe has been extremely helpful to me. He is very professional and courteous. He always helps me find whatever I need (usually some sort of a nail, screw, or other tool). read more

First let me say I have supported this small business for a couple of years but will no longer after my experience today. The lady who assisted me and checked me out was not wearing a mask. She followed me to the area in the store where I was selecting merchandise. I kept backing up trying to have some distance and when I went to the counter to check out which does not have any kind of plexiglass I asked where her mask was. She grabbed one from under the counter and showed it to me and put it back under the counter. She said the owner did not require masks and she felt safe without one. I told her that I would prefer if she wore one while dealing with me as a customer and she said she didn't have to. I then informed her she just lost a customer. Alan put together a replacement pull out kitchen sink hose for me with a coupling that worked great. He took the time to configure the universal kit to my sink sprayer and made sure I knew exactly how to install it when I got home - I would have forgotten the plumber's tape and just screwed it in. I was in and out in about 15 minutes. The big box stores don't carry unique couplings that I often need to deal with the older plumbing in my condo and I literally usually have to go back 3 or 4 times and spend hours trying to figure out solutions. I cannot believe how quickly Alan solved my problem - what a relief - and the price of the universal kit was cheaper than the one I found at Lowe's. The front of the store has a beautiful selection of gifts, decor, Tyler candles, OXO products and a very nice Southern blonde lady to help you find whatever you are looking for. read more

Shari was so rude. It was fairly busy and there was only two employees in the store. The other young lady was helping another customer and seemed to be juggling many things at once. When I tried asking Sheri for help she got a phone call and decided to take the call and started yapping about her husband. It was the most annoying thing ever. You should hear her yelling on the phone from across the store. By far the worst experience I've had at this ace. Shari is a very unprofessional worker. read more
