We put Travertine tile in our kitchen, using Floor and Decor's in-house installers, United Top Floors LLC. They were great, start to finish. Their rep, Chris Hagen, made sure that everything was done, down to the smallest detail, to our satisfaction. That included chiseling out one tile that just didn't look right - a pain for the installers, but an example of going above and beyond. Caution: it appears that Installation Made Easy is the installation firm, a company that has the worst BBB rating and review I think I have ever seen. They are just the corporate conduit to get you to United Top Floors LLC, which has great reviews. read more

We purchased tile for our new shower. We worked with the store designer to select and he entered our order in the computer. Our contractors picked up the order that Floor & Decor pulled for us and installed the tile. After installation we noticed there were different colors for the same floor tile. It looked like the warehouse gave us boxes from different dye lots!! Our contractor had to spend 2 extra days ripping up and installing new tile. I contacted customer care at Floor & Decor with the pictures and receipts. They said the manufacturer will not do anything but the store managers could help. I called the store multiple times - the phone just rings and rings. Nobody picks up - unbelievable! Customer Care was absolutely no help and the store doesn't answer the phone. The cashier Anita was the worst cashier ever, horrible attitude, and said I was not able to return something I had purchased this same day in the morning. She made a huge deal for few pieces that needed to be return and I was getting another tile. Also the few pieces I needed to return wasn't even open. She said they can't return something because the store loose,???? I will NEVER come back to this location and they really need to work on how they treat their customers, other stores I being was never treat it this way! After many changes in opinion my husband and I had finally agreed on tiles and gathered up all the boxes of tile. We were almost out the door...when it occurred to us we had no idea what color grout to get. We we're clueless, sure we'd pick something tacky and ruin it all. It was late on Sunday and the last thing we wanted to do was come back Monday. Then, like an actual angel, Angel, appeared from the design center!! I probably looked like a mess, couldn't barely walk or move my arms anymore but i managed to beg her to help us even tho we didn't have an appointment. She sweetly agreed to help us, grabbed her book of grout and picked the perfect shades (neither one of us thought of the ones she did). She checked on us again when she saw us in check out to make sure we had everything. The younger girls on the floor were so funny! I asked if i could borrow a blade to cut some straps because i forgot mine. They teased my about packing blades and happily cut all the straps for me. And this really nice older gentleman, not a big guy but he's strong as an OX, who's name i did not get, helped us load every last box and he made it fit perfectly! There's always been just one cashier and I've been here five times! It is impossible to find anything in the store it is so disorganized -items are in the wrong place, and there is absolutely no help! I'm not sure how they stay in business? Probably because there are few floor places in the area! Just wanted to find some maple bullnose piece for the end of my stairs, tried locate a sales person, he didn't know how to look up Maple! I go here to buy the overpriced underlayment that has a waterproof backing. This is the only reason to go here! Otherwise it's a waste of time! I was looking for porcelain tile, polished, color black with white veins. The website shows just such a tile. But Lo! And behold! It's not in stock at the NE Expressway store. Closest is Roswell on Holcomb Bridge. So I trek all the way out there and the tile on display IS black but the inventory is gray to gray greenish. Consultation with their tile expert confirms the black tile on display is probably old and the new lot in inventory is a different color. Yet the website still has it as black. Keep in mind this is porcelain not natural. I guess the website is old too. Anyway he wished me good luck as he dashed away to more important tasks. What a wasted trip OTP. Beware. read more

I purchased wood flooring online and it was supposed to be available the next day for pick up. The status did not change to "ready for pick up" so I called the store and the associate told me it would be ready for me the next day. I live about 50 minutes from the location but I really wanted this particular flooring. (Note I tried buying from the store in Buford and they didn't have the inventory despite what it said online) Roswell's store showed 34 boxes available and I only needed 23. When I got there to pick up they didn't have any available. I was not happy. They called the Kennesaw store which was an additional 35 mins in the opposite direction. The Roswell associate assured me that she spoke with the manager in Kennesaw and they will pull the order so I didn't have to wait. Here I sit in their parking lot over 30 mins now and was told the order wasn't pulled and it will be another 15-20 minutes. Get your shit together Floor and Decor. I am however, a former customer. Too much competition to treat your customers like this. After reading my review I received a call from a senior leader from floor and decor and they not only apologized up and down but they offered me a credit. Way to go floor and decor. I appreciate the redemption. You have retained a customer. I love the selection, convenience and professionals in the store. read more

Came in looking for tile last minute (this weekend really got away from me if you know what I mean). I am profoundly colorblind, so doing things that really involve being specific about color is painful for me, lol. I made a few laps seeing if there was anything that I couldn't live without before drawing a blank; this is when I saw Tina. I initially approached Tina asking for floor tile to match a photo of the tile that I had bought for the rest of the shower. She explained that it was difficult to do this bc of the lighting and asked where I bought the tile initially -- from Floor and Decor, the store I was at! Quickly, Tina whisked me over a few and found the tile in question. She then grabbed several samples of tiles she thought would work, and was able to gauge what I was looking for. The whole process maybe took about 30 or 45 minutes. With Tina's help, I left feeling like I made a good choice, that I was adhering to my (shoestring) budget, and that the finishing touches to the space we're going to look near perfect. I couldn't have done any of this without Tina, and probably would have left with burple tile if I were left to my own devices (I really hope I didn't leave with burple tile tho). I bought some granit counter tops and when we got them to the job site and cut them to fit we found out they were different thickness. Keep in mind these the same item number and same box they told me we should have measure the thickness before cutting. I should have pick up very heavy granit and measure it. they were not A little off. they were a solid 1/4 inch off. The store like not our problem here is the email of customer care it could take up to 2 weeks good luck. I will up date this once I heare back from cutomer no service. Lots of selection here. It's a bit overwhelming. But don't expect to get any help. Snobby staff. They flat out ignore you. Just walk by without a glance. I spent a good deal of time laying out ideas in the table only to find that the lady who worked there put most of it away and shoved the rest to the corner of the table. She did comment that she liked my shoes tho. Still no offer to help and not even a pause long enough for me to ask a question as she whizzed by. She was way too concerned with putting things away. No concern for a paying customer. I loaded up 10 boxes of tile on a cart only to discover that every box had a broken tile in it. I just abandoned my $600 purchase. read more

I could see the stuff just inside the bay and offered to get it myself, but they wouldn't let me. I will never shop here again. First, I placed my order online for same-day store pickup. Sent to store, they said it would be days before it was ready, even thohhh website said otherwise. I then pulled and loaded the tile myself. When a portion of our order became too large and heavy for our cars, we went back inside and paid for delivery and completed the form and left those items there. They have now been sitting at the store for 2 weeks with no updates, and no one will answer the phone. It's about 3k worth of product they are holding hostage and no one will get in touch with me. Renovating two bathrooms. Went to pickup tile for second bath, and not much of what we wanted out on the floor, so we asked at the register if they could check inventory for other stores before we decided to drive to find it. Register showed 5700+ (YUP - MORE THAN FIVE THOUSAND) pieces IN STORE!!! So we asked the cashier if inventory could be checked to insure that was true. After an excruciatingly long wait we were told "no - none here" by the employee that supposedly checked. And oh - he "forgot" to tell anyone that he didn't find it. This was around 5PM, so they weren't that close to closing. Customer service here is really hit and miss - we had just the opposite experience just the day before - Rachelle Ricks went out of her way to help us load tile onto carts and get it out the door, and another fellow helped us load it into our truck. read more

KUDOS TO THOSE WELL-TRAINED FRONT LINE EMPLOYEES! Since I am an equal opportunity reviewer, I am going to review a different aspect of this store. Although my previous reviews were unfavorable, I do hope that they have shed light on issues that need to be addressed. While I have had some issues in certain areas, I have never had a problem with the direct service employees. My previous reviews were not very On any given day when you walk into this store, you will find well trained employees who are very courteous and helpful. Can't find someone to help, just walk up to the front and ask them to page assistance and they will. This also includes those who retrieve your order and load it up. They have a great selection of products and they have recently organized the store so that it is easy to find what you need. Just look up at the new banners and they will guide you. Don't forget the finishing touches such as metal trim pieces, standard niche box, accent stones, moulding and more. It is so easy to walk into the store and just focus on flooring but if you go to the left side of the store, you will see that they carry a variety of installation supplies and remodeling materials. I love that every single purchase is tracked with my telephone number which makes returns effortless. Here is what you need to know: They open super early (7 am), and this is the best time to visit. Be very careful when ordering on-line and check the sku and lot numbers carefully. If you order by phone, allow at least 48 hours and call to verify that your order is ready before you leave to pick up your order. If you want your contractor to be able to pick up supplies without you, make sure that it is noted under your profile. Despite a couple of hiccups, I still really enjoy shopping at Floor and Decor and yes I recommend them for your flooring and bathroom renovation supplies. ***They are currently having a very generous clearance sale! If you are a DIYer like me - and you just happen to be looking at flooring, upon entry of this place and its expanse, just be prepared to pass out. After you are revived, you'll probably spend about 3-4 hours in this place, especially if you don't have an exact idea that you have in mind for your DIY project. If you are married, plan for marital couseling for after your visit. I have seen too many a couple that I think divorced upon exiting this establishment - there's a LOT to consider here. Dozen sizes and styles of travertine alone? Slate? Glass? Those cool new wood tiles you are starting to see all over? Wood flooring? Schluter systems supplies? Yep, got it all, tile saws, adhesiv....trowe...ok seriously I'd be here all day even if I abbreviated everything they have. It's got to be the largest flooring place I've ever been to. Pricing is really good to fairly aggressive, they have everything from your basic tiles starting at some dimes a tile up to your exotics, so don't let the name "Outlet" throw you because they are well stocked on everything as well and carry product lines just like a regular retail store. The only reason this doesn't get a 5 is exactly that, it's not really an outlet with rock bottom prices (again, good to fair prices) so if you are looking to pay pennies on the dollar, this may not be your place, but if you are concerned with selection while being budget minded this is definately your place. read more

I am a long time customer of Floor and Decor and working on a bathroom remodel and I have consistently had an awful experience working with Floor and Decor: 1-inconsistent tiles- color variation, broken tiles, different sku's in the same box (we went through tile selection 3 times to even find tiles that match) 2-Awful customer service experience at multiple stores including: 3-Brookhaven- told me to hurry up because it was closing time as I discovered that the marble I selected had 2 different sku's and marble types in factory sealed boxes....they didn't even offer to assist me as we're trying to navigate this situation 4-Roswell--Today I stood at the Returns desk this afternoon to return a few samples. I was left to wait around 10-15 minutes with many employees walking up and telling me the man would come back. Once the white man with dark hair and a black vest finally showed up at the Returns desk he told me to get to the back of the line. I was the front of the line so have no idea what he was even talking about. 5-Buford--I had to finish getting tile for my project and asked an male worker who was helping a couple choose between 3 tiles for 10-15 minutes if he'd call someone to help me pull inventory to finish my project. He TOLD ME TO GET LOST and he didn't have a radio to communicate and go to the cashiers in the front and ask them for help. So I am spending THOUSANDS of dollars with your organization and I get the same level of customer service as McDonald's. read more
