This location also has Costco and hence it is crazily crowded . Service can be better here . Billing was quick. Came here pretty early on a Saturday and what a great time to come. Not many people and so many staff members making sure we are being helped. I was looking for a particular item I saw online and asked to see if they had this in stock or if it's just online. The store manager Wade helped me and they didn't have it online but he went above and beyond to find another item and price matched it to the online item. Wow, so unexpected. I felt so VIP and it felt great to feel someone being so nice. Then at self checkout, we had some small tape with no bar code and they were like,"don't worry about it"! Again such a small gesture is really nice. Store manager Wade is clearly doing great things at this store and his staff is following. Came here to get some items to re-stage my patio. All the employees from the turfgrass, repellent, insect barriers, outdoor lighting & ceiling fan departments were friendly & helpful. I appreciate the employee guiding the forklift & letting me know someone would be with me momentarily while he passed me by. HD is one of one of the stores you come for specific items yet leave with some impromptu stuff along the way. I came here to get some plant food (fertilizer) for my indoor plants today. I love that there are parking spaces for military veterans. I was able to park in one of the spaces. As I walked to the entrance, I noticed that there were many handicapped parking spaces. These were the closest spaces to the building. Surprisingly, when I got there at noon, there were many open parking spaces in the large parking lot (free parking). I had a hunch that the plant food I was looking for was outside, so I headed that way. Before I got to the door leading out to the garden "stuff," I noticed more garden "stuff" inside, but the signage for all of it was incorrect. So confusing and misleading because the products on the shelves in about three aisles didn't match the signage! I went outside and found what I was looking for. Checking out was easy, and I used a self-checkout register. I was even able to get a military discount applied to my purchase, which I appreciate that The Home Depot provides. Leaving this Home Depot can be challenging if you head out toward the stoplight, because so many customers of both The Home Depot AND neighboring Costco and Costco gas station (depending on the time of day), are entering and trying to exit all at the same time. Try to avoid all of them, and leave the parking lot by driving past The Home Depot and drive up the inclined exit that leads directly to Peachtree Dunwoody Road. Yes, you have to make a right turn and head south, but you can make a u-turn at the light if necessary. Good experience today. read more

Second time coming to this store for the same light bulb that keeps blowing out in less than a month. I bought this bulb on Feb 28th and already blew. I took it to the returns counter and Kent help me pull up my receipt because I didn't have it. A lady help me in the electricity section and was going over some options for me. So i brought the bulb back to the counter where Kent was and he was so nice as he saw I needed a pair and told me to get another and he actually paid for the second bulb which cost $6.98. Fraudulent staff and managers. Went there to buy laundry detergent and came home with a home depot credit card. Misinformed me about a store rewards card and opened a credit card with out my authorization. When I asked why social is needed, they told me it for valudation purposes to verify date of birth and address. I repeatedly asked several times if it is going to do a hard check. They said its just going to be a soft pull like Credit Karma. I received a hard check alert from equifax and experian as soon as I went home. The assistant manager, and manager are pretty ignorant about this and they seemed to be not bothered by this at all as if they knew this practice and it was intended. I tried reaching out to customer care and asked for district manager. I was told that I will be contacted by someone in 3-4 days and so far no one contacted me even after 7 days. read more

We've been without a kitchen since September. We have gotten ZERO help or support and have been fed nothing but a bunch of bullshit every step of the way with the employees at this store-that goes from lower level employees to the upper management. If you are planning to remodel your kitchen I do not recommend using Home Depot, in particular this location. We ordered our appliances in November and received them early April after having the delivery date moved twice. Our cabinet delivery was also moved out twice and it took two weeks to get the installer in once the cabinets were delivered, even though we were told the install would happen day after the delivery. 2 cabinets came damaged and our island was the completely wrong size and did not fit. Especially be wary of Phil who works in the kitchen design department because he will schmooze the hell out of you to get the order in and then tell you "his hands are tied" once everything goes wrong. We still do not have a finished kitchen when we were told it would be done beginning of April and now because of the cabinets coming damaged they are telling us it won't be until the end of august. This is the current state the kitchen was left in and they're saying there's nothing they can do. Everything(countertops, cabinet and install) has been paid in full for since early March. read more

Appliance delivery however is not great - they contract out their delivery services so the delivery service can be hit and miss. If you ever want to feel stupid, might I recommend you enter the tool rental area. I wanted to paint some furniture so I asked to rent a sprayer. To give you a bit of history, I am not a professional painter. I don't even paint my own nails. When I need to seek advice on something I don't understand, I go to a pro- enter the Home Depot pro tool rental department. Ultimately, I left with a paint sprayer and some Kilz. Much to my surprise, again, I have NO clue about paint sprayers, I was given a heavy duty commercial HOUSE paint sprayer. The nozzle alone held 1 gallon of paint. When I turned on the sprayer I was literally thrown to the floor because of the pressure. Paint was dripping and covering every inch of my garage and me. I admit, I do share the blame in this rental story however, if I say a dozen times this is for painting furniture, why would the "pro" at HD rent me something so powerful? In returning the machine I told the team member what happened and he said "why didn't you say it wasnt to paint houses?" Really, dude?! In attempting to tell him I was clear in what I was going to paint he kept shaking his head saying no one would rent me a sprayer if that was the case. Surprise! Ya did! And I am returning it to prove my point. I found a smaller, hand held sprayer, for sale in the paint aisle and it worked just fine. read more

Date Ordered February 28, 2021/WJ30654747 unit almost 1K dropped in the garage handed owner the plug and left. about a week later I found out it was not installed gift from other state. Call multiple times MGR will call 24th & install 25th. 25th came by in a budget rental truck for haul away only, install 26th, this was after it was escalated and still changed from instructions given to me by a manager. The homeowner was never able to confirm arrival, even thought his name address is the installation site, also on the billing? I followed up again! the agent inquired what my relationship was to the owner? Not sure how that is relevant to an installation. "None of your business" she disconnected the call. We are now 3/26 still no installation, there have been multiple escalations & calls all reassure it will get done. That these installer have on the truck what they need depending on the age of the house! Even the word INSTALLATION in any form is a stretch.. Unloading and plugging in is not and installation. They offer all kinds of service installation electrical, HVAC, not sure what the issue is in my opinion it is deceitful, and misrepresentation. No where does it state exactly what they will do or not do. So helping to get an appliance for, so they may cook at home has cost about 300.00 in quality meals delivered over 10 days plus the electrician to resolve.. My husband and I needed a new front door so we decided to give Home Depot a shot. Biggest. Disappointment. Ever. After waiting 5 months to get our door( first, they ordered the wrong door, then, the hinges didn't line up, then, they forgot to paint it)....so , 3 screw ups later and barely any communication in between, we get our door. The door looks like a five year old painted it, there are multiple scratches and scuffs on the inside of the door. Seriously, we have to repaint it ourselves. Throughout this whole experience, I had to always be the one to call to see what was going on. I guess I should not have kept giving them chances, so partly my fault. But we will never use Home Depot again for an installation. I am still waiting on some compensation for this new door that we paid $1,200...that looks like it's from a foreclosed home. read more

What can I say... it's very rare that I needed to review Home Depot, but we just had the best experience ever because of the issues we had with online order delivery. The delivery took a bizarre wrong turn and went missing on its way to the store. Kent at the front and Winston at the customer service were awesome and went above and beyond to help us to resolve the issue. The assistant manager on duty was also very helpful. We had some bad experience with Home Depot at a different location in Alpharetta and have completely given up on expecting a decent service from them in general. For years I loved shopping with Home Depot - their service was efficient and they employees friendly. However, this seems to have changed from the norm to the rarity these days. In the past year, I have had numerous issues with HD and specifically this location. First, I received a washing machine that didn't work. Three months later, a replacement came but it was installed improperly causing a leak through my downstairs ceilings. I was able to get the ceiling fixed through the installation company, but it took days of me project managing to make it happen. The time spent trying to deal with customer service, the repair, etc. is well worth more that 3x the cost of my initial purchase. While I understand that this is the installation company's fault, in the end it falls on HD to make sure things are right since I purchased the service/appliance through them. To this day, no one from HD has called to see if it was fixed or even offer an apology for the incredible inconvenience I gave HD another shot by ordering a door for my bathroom - 1 door. The order was placed on June 2nd and I was told an estimated 3 weeks. Since then I have over 30+ "order update emails", have talked to 4 managers, an incredibly rude customer service rep Phoenix at the desk, and guess what - still no door. We are going on 4th months. After multiple phone calls and visits to the store, and me following-up when managers said they would - still no one can give me an answer as to what is going on, when it will arrive, or even offered any sort of solution option. Apparently, it is my job to manage them, their staff, and their vendors if I want my door. The only thing I have been told is it isn't their fault, its the manufacturer and we can talk "compensation" once the door arrives. Bad installations and incredibly late products are terrible. But what is truly the terrible thing is the lack of accountability and action by HD. The new nonchalant approach to customer service shows that HD doesn't care about nor respect customers' time. Really hard to find help these days, but I tried calling them to check on availability of an item because stock is low on so many items and I don't want to waste a trip there to come home empty-handed especially with high cost of fuel, and no one answered in each of the 6 times I called and let the phone ring 3 minutes before their system disconnected me. First 2 times someone answered and tried to connect me but no one picked up in the department. This was a mediocre store at best before Covid, now it's just a big waste of my time. This saddens me to say about a home town business, but don't open your doors at all if you are going to dish out this much disappointment. Ace Hardware is worth a few more of my $$$ and is closer to home, they know my name, always have knowledgeable people to help me, they usually have what I am looking for because they replenish stock often and have a wide product offering. Once in the Garden department I was immediately tended to and shown different options to what I was looking for. I even got a high-five from him! The lady in the paint department wasn't so friendly or helpful. I chalked it up to her being tired or just wanting to leave. It is Friday, after all! Now, Ori my cashier was a true delight! A gem of an employee! We struck up an unusually empowering/enlightening conversation. So much so that I almost forgot to pay. He politely reminded me and we shared a helluva laugh! In trying to decide between Lowes and Home Depot for my DIY home painting supplies, my friend reminded me that I should support Home Depot, the Atlanta headquartered company. I have never painted nor bought paint supplies in my entire life, so I was nervous to buy these things on my own. I googled multiple DIY paint supply lists but had no idea what I REALLY needed to buy. I'm pretty sure I looked clueless. However, I got no one approaching me, asking if I needed help. I ended up buying so many random things that I know now that I didn't even need. There's a nice self-checkout area. A lady manning the check out area ended up scanning everything for me (someone finally realized I was helpless and needed assistance). I talked to the manager and he told me the tool must be "At least as clean as when the item was rented". I like Home Depot because I like to DO IT MYSELF.. ya know. Hands on and stuff. Honestly, though, I like hand-making things, crafting things, creating... so HD is fun. I also appreciate that for the most part HD employees don't look at me dumb when I wander around with a glazed over look on my face. It's not that I don't know what I'm doing.. well, not completely. But they don't know that and they don't act like it, but they do offer their help. I've been here to copy keys, buy hay bales, a tool box, paint, drop cloth, sand paper for a hand-sander, reflective sticky letters, zip ties, and more.. and honestly have never had an issue. The parking lot ins and outs are a little awkward but overall, I am glad to be near this location. Additionally, I totally dig the fact that Home Depot emails you your receipt, and once you put in your email address per CC, it remembers, so you don't have to continually add it.. On my way out of the store, one last associate accosted me and asked me if I needed help finding something. I asked him if they carried window fans, and informed him that I had gotten 3 wrong answers prior to him questioning me. Stopped in to get some indoor plants on two occasions for my condo and walked away with quite a few things! I don't get a chance to garden as much as I used to so I'm not sure what is a decent price for certain things anymore, but I feel like I paid fair prices for what I got. I ended up with three succulents, plus the pots, two kinds of soil, some flowers and two plants - a nice, big lily and something else I don't remember (oops) - and I didn't break the bank. It's been a few days now and the plants are coming along nicely. I love having them in my windows and sun room, and wish I had done this sooner! I think this is my favorite HD. Why? It's next to Costco + has had every big/little thing I've needed. Parking is amazing. Since THD and Costco are attached to each other, the lot has to be big. Worst case scenario: you park a little further away. Folks here are great and really helpful. They are also knowledgeable. They're able to tell you pros/cons if items you're interested in. Quality - Pretty sure they have every item a house needs. What's great about that is... quality is solid. You won't have to worry if you were ripped off/buying a bad brand. Also - I usually hit up Costco first for an item I need. If they don't have it, HD probably does. Smart idea putting them side by side. read more

Stay away from special orders, installs, or appliances at this location. I say this location because I have to believe the entire HD organization can't be this bad. My custom door install was botched so badly that it is laughable. The millworks team is clueless, the special order facilitator is awol, and the installers and store can't seem to be able to communicate with one another. One of the most frustrating experiences I have ever had. Need to grab some week killer or a light bulb? That should be fine....I think. read more

SCORE!! While wandering around the lot, looking for trees and shrubs, guess who I discover?, The horticulturalist!! That never happens! She is just standing there watering her babies and offering her assistance. When she introduces herself, I think "jackpot!" and I am just hoping that no one else discovers this little secret before I ask my questions. She was very helpful in helping us to select certain plants for our landscape. You can do all the research you want but there is something really gratifying when a professional gives you a great overview of a particular plant and its characteristics. She just confirmed some of our ideas and helped us to resolve some uncertainties. Also, I had this photo of a flowering tree in my phone and she was able to immediately identify the tree and point me right to it. It was a very successful trip and her assistance was greatly appreciated! I will definitely be returning to this location for my trees and shrubs because they seemed to have a better selection and healthier options. read more

This home depot has some of the best workers! They are always so helpful and will even ask you if you need help if you are lost while looking for a certain product. One afternoon I was working on a project for the house and I think at least two of the workers from the Key making section assisted me for about an hour as I worked on a project for my car. Not the entire time, but they were always willing to answer a question or point me in the right direction. They were always friendly and acknowledged that I was human! lol. Love this Home Depot!! I was a bit turned off by large hardware stores, but now am so happy to go to this particular location because they are staffed well not only in quality of workers, but willingness to help. read more
