We walked in and no one said Hello or Welcome and we walked pass a waitress who was taking an order at the table behind where we sat. We waited longer then 5 minutes for service and when no one came I went to the register to get a supervisor to file a complaint. The waitress said their was no supervisor on duty and followed me back to our table where I proceeded to let her know what the issues were and that I would be filing a formal complaint. The waitress, white female with black hair in a ponytail, wearing dark jeans and shirt and glasses, after hearing my complaints and what I was going to do added " you can add to that complaint that this waitress is feeling super suicidal today, thank you" then stormed off. Perhaps I ordered the wrong thing, but the brisket was thinly sliced (good) but was bordering on dry and chewy (not so good). The service was very good -- there when you needed them, but not so much as to interfere with conversations. Go for breakfast or burgers, but be selective about the daily specials and you'll understand why small town diners can be go-to places for travelers.
