I have traditionally used TurboTax to prepare my taxes, but never have been 100% sure I am submitting acurately nor getting the best return. I did some research and found Sangha CPA, PC to be well respected. Bikram has recently prepared our taxes and I couldn't be happier. He made the process so simple and easy. When doing TurboTax, I felt like I spent hours digging up information. I didn't have the big picture of what I needed ahead of time so it would take days to complete because I would hit road blocks and have to continually dig up more information. It wasn't clear what information was critical and what may have only applied in certain scenarios, so I had to gather it all and hope I entered it accurately. Bikram spoke to me over the phone and clearly explained a short list of information required and I was able to gather it all in less than an hour and quickly provide it to him. I saved a lot of time! Our resutling tax return is more money than I expected! As a bonus, I feel confident that they were prepared acurately and in my best interest without stretching the law. I came to Sangha CPA very late in the year for help with our small business return, and our personal return. They met with me after hours to go over documentation, and worked over the weekend to get the return completed for the deadline. They were very friendly, polite and efficient. I've worked with many other accounting firms in the past, but my experience with Sangha was by far the best. I appreciated the time they took to answer all my questions, that they asked for additional documentation which might lead to more deductions, and their general level of customer service. However despite these, what I appreciated most of all was the fact that the return was correct. I frequently found mistakes on my returns prepared by my previous, more expensive, accountant. One other item of note, I had a conversation with their CPA about outsourcing tax return preparation to India. They told me that they do not do this, and cited stories they have come across around identify thief from poorly safe guarded personal documents sent abroad for preparation. Im not big on reviews, especially food ones because I am pretty convinced that people don't know what they are talking about, HOWEVER, taxes are different! Ha! For the last 2-3 years HR Block was doing my taxes and they were doing an OK job. No complaints but when it came to opening my own business this past year and getting married and living in two different states, I knew that it was time to get serious! Bikram was recommended by a family friend and I am so glad they did! Not only did he help me with my personal taxes he actually spent the time to help me UNDERSTAND setting up my business in quickbooks and how to get organized for the year ahead! Priceless time! My taxes were especially difficult this year with living in two states and cashing out a Roth IRA. I tried Turbo Tax but it did not allow the flexibility to input the data to explain my situation. I was frustrated and reviewed previous reviews on Yelp to select Sangha CPA. I could not be more happy with the results. I received a same day appointment and Bikram was extremely helpful while explaining tax rules on Roth IRA's and the difference in Virginia and California tax laws. He reviewed all of the information twice while I was in the office and assured me that I could contact him any time throughout the year with questions. He immediately e-mailed copies of my returns and when I reviewed it again at home I realized that I forgot to give him one document. I called him and he immediately inputted the data and e-mailed the amended return. This may be the first time that I feel with the utmost confidence that my taxes were done correctly. Sangha CPA, my heroes! How often in business today can you find a combination of super-competent, helpful, congenial and professional (without being stuffy) in one organization? Miraculously, right here in Fairfax. In contrast, my last tax accountant charged $895 to change one number on an amended form, was unpleasant to deal with, and made an error that Mr. Bikram Singh noticed right away when looking over my return. Yesterday he did my current taxes correctly, explained everything along the way, gave me tax tips that will help me arrange my finances to better advantage, and made it clear that in the coming year he is open to all questions and concerns I might want to discuss. If all that weren't reason enough for me to weep with joy, his fees are reasonable, and I had a quite pleasant time working with him. Really, it was fun. My wife and I made a mistake on our 2013 federal taxes. In March of 2015 we received a bill from the IRS for $280,000! Needless to say I was really upset. I contacted Mr Singh through a referral from a friend who uses his services. Even though he was really busy he agreed to work on my case. He amended my return and filled out what seemed to be 40 other forms and wrote a letter for me to the IRS to sign in my name. I was sure that because we did in fact make a mistake that I was going to owe some big dollars! About 2 weeks ago, I received a letter in the mail from the IRS that we owe nothing and they considered the case closed!!!
