Food: All of it was spectacular! First we were served fresh bread with infused oil. Bread was soft yet still crunchy and warm. Oil was superb! I loved both appetizers. The Heirloom salad dish with tomatoes, spring mix, burrata with balsamic was so fresh and tasty! The calamari had a variety of pieces and was so delicious. That aioli really set it apart. The pasta was amazing! I loved the veggies included and the protein was seasoned well. That tiramisu was one of the best in the city Service: Our server was attentive, communicative and very kind! Ambiance: It is a small, intimate vibe that really sets the stage. While I enjoy intimacy, the walk aisles were narrow. A few times servers walked with trays over my head to fit through. Also the day we walked in, the air conditioning was barely working. It was warm in there and it would've been nice if the staff initially addressed it and apologized vs us having to bring it up and ask. Would recommend this vibe for an intimate date or girls night out

So apparently I tried this place back in 2021 and I gave it 3 stars. I gave it another shot and went back and I really enjoyed it. We arrived right around 5pm and didn't have reservations and were able to be sat right away. At that time there were just 2 other table occupied, and it was really quiet. Upon walking in its really rim and the decor screams grown and sexy. We were sat at a really small table and felt we needed more room and asked to be move. The server moved us and agreed it was a little tight and didn't make us feel uncomfortable for asking to be moved. We ordered mussels which I must say weren't the best. They needed more flavor and they tasted a bit gritty, but I think it's hard to do mussels sometimes so not upset by it. The rest of our order was very good. I loved the service, the music and my food was good. Therefore I felt inspired to update my 3 to a 4!

Came tonight for a friend's birthday. They had a cute sign for her. The food was amazing. Definitely try the mussels. To die for. Huge wine selection, so you can't go wrong. Will be back over and over again. To much to try so....guess I will be back soon.

We came here for our first time for our anniversary, we normally don't eat pasta but we wanted to give it a try! As soon as you walk in it's a very dark, steakhouse type vibe, they had an extensive wine list, and they offered some really good specials, we actually ended up ordering the specials instead of the pasta but we'll definitely try it the next time!! My fiancé got their filet special cooked medium and it was cooked PERFECTLY! He was very happy with his meal, I went with the Halibut Special they had with garlic mashed potatoes and green beans, the sauce on the halibut was soooo good! Then they brought us a special dessert for our anniversary and it was perfect for our sweet tooth! Oliver was our server and he was very attentive and made the night a good one! For sure recommend for your next date night!

We visited Sangiovese Ristorante for the first time recently and I was pleasantly surprised. The ambiance was super cute. I loved the dim lighting and the decor. Our waitress was super attentive even with us being a large party. She quickly brought everything we needed. Now on to the good part....the drinks were strong and the food was good! I started off with a strawberry lemon drop and it was absolutely delicious. It definitely hit the spot. For our appetizer, we ordered the fried ravioli which arrived to the table piping hot and crispy. The filling could have used a bit more salt, but they were good nonetheless. For my entree I had the tortellini and THAT was amazing! I finished the whole dish. It was very very flavorful and it will keep you coming back for more!

This is a wonderful find around the Indianapolis area. We were struggling to figure out what restaurant to eat around the mall area. We easily got reservations on a weeknight for dinner. The staff was super friendly and the Italian food shows a layer of complexity and ingredients used. My penne alla emiliana had a wonderful depth of flavor. My only critique of this dish I wish the red onions were caramelized more. At times I felt that I was eating undercooked onions, but overall the pasta and the sauce combined well for a wonderful dish the overall ambience is sort of a quiet darken dining room. This is perfect date night restaurant. The complementary house bread was also perfect.

I had a lovely evening here with my husband to celebrate my birthday. Our waitress was so kind, helpful, and cheerful, and the ambiance was very cool. We got a table in the corner by ourself and it felt very romantic. The food was some of the best I've had in a while - I loved the goat cheese appetizer. I got a clam linguini that had my wanting to lick the sauce of my plate when it was finished. And my husband ordered a veal entre with garlic lemon butter and capers, and it may have been one of the most delicious things ever to grace my tongue. High praises for this restaurant!

I've been to both Sangiovese locations, and you really can't go wrong with either. The Fishers spot is bigger, while the Ironworks location has a more intimate, cozy vibe -- perfect for date night. The food? Always solid. If you're in the mood for good Italian, this is a go-to.

    Devour menu!

What a great place for celebrating, especially during Devour. My friend made a reservation for her bday and they had a little sign, and with dessert there was a candle to commemorate. The inside was a lot smaller than I would have thought, but there a little room off to the right. The food was great. There was a nice crusty bread with olive oil to dip, I would 100% get the soup again, my friend added the lump crab and said it was def worth it. The chicken Marsala was just right. The mashed potatoes and vegetables that came with it was yummy.

First time to this location for a friends birthday. They were very accommodating when I requested to add two to our reservation. The ambiance is nice, it's a little loud as it's basically one room, so be prepared to talk loud. The service was friendly but slow. They were pretty busy for a Saturday, but it still took a long time to get drinks. The food was great. I don't go out for Italian food often, but this was really good. The seafood pasta special was super delicious! All in all, I would go back and would recommend.

My husband and I celebrated our first wedding anniversary here at Sangiovese and have ZERO regrets! First of all, the staff were very sweet and accommodating. When we arrived at our table, there was a sign wishing us a happy anniversary, which I appreciated. We started off with the Cisco's meatballs which were very tasty and had a bit of a spicy kick which we enjoyed! My husband had the red snapper special that was being offered at the time and loved it and I had the very delicious fettuccini Alfredo with chicken (I'm still daydreaming about it lol). Our waitress also surprised us with a yummy cannoli as a special treat to end our anniversary night. And the most thoughtful thing was we were presented with a "champagne toast" and I use air quotes because I was pregnant at the time and without me having to ask, I was given a sprite to toast with lol. I am so happy we chose to celebrate our anniversary here and we will definitely be back to enjoy the great food and service again! :)

The GAMBERI ALLA GRIGLIA Shrimp appetizer was delicious!! Big Seafood fans!! We also really enjoyed the CISCO'S MEATBALLS!

Absolutely loved this quaint little Italian restaurant. The food was really delicious, and the service was wonderful! The waiter really knew the menu very well, and made great recommendations. Totally would recommend for a romantic date night.

This is our favorite Italian restaurant. The ambience is nice with dim lighting and rustic decor woods and black iron. The food is delicious. We had a party of 9 to celebrate my daughter's bday; and everyone had great food and a great experience. We had the goat cheese as appetizer and it was rich and served with a baguette. Fruti di marre- ordered this with angel hair pasta. It was absolutely delicious. It's the husband's favorite thing to order and the only place that gets it right. Cooks the seafood perfectly. Tortellini was delightful. Added crab to this dish. The birthday girl loved her spaghetti! Our server did a nice job with our large party.

While I don't think we should get an appetizer again because it was so much food, the marinara that can with the cheesy garlic bread was phenomenal. Both of our entrees were delicious! A ton of food. I wish we could have taken some home, but we're going to a show after. Brussel sprouts were to die for.... So good. Love the glaze they put on them. Again, I think we could have been fine with just our entrees and salads, but all the food we tried was so delicious - I am really glad we did. We may not make it back as often as I would like, but we love the ambiance, service, and food. This is a special place for us and we hope to share it with others.

The entrees (the monkfish special and the carbonara) were good but not great. I did appreciate the crispy, smoky pancetta in the carbonara but the monkfish had a somewhat mushy texture rather than the he firmness we would normally expect. The biggest issue, though, was the check. The calamari never came off, the meatballs for the children's pasta were more expensive than what was on the menu, and we were charged for an extra calamari dipping sauce that we did not ask for. Most of these problems were fixed but the whole thing illustrated a lack of attention to detail and an appearance of up-charging the customer in any way possible. Overall: Food: fair 4/5 Service: decent 3.5/5 Pricing: suspicious 2/5

Shrimp Scampi 4/5 The shrimp was good, however didn't leave much of an impression for us. It could also be just because the range of different flavors we got this just seemed pretty ok. Dessert!!! We shared a cappuccino cheesecake and it was actually really really good. Was super tempted to get the tiramisu but we were feeling for something new and this didn't disappoint. We asked for more bread and they gave it free of charge. I ordered the Della Casa and it was the best plate of pasta I've ever eaten. The flavors melted together in a creamy tomato sauce with the perfect amount of spice. It was genuinely the best sauce for a seafood pasta and the shrimp and noodles were both cooked properly and to perfection. Nothing was overcooked. Every bite was like heaven. I tried my friend's pastas as well and the Tortellacci was suprisingly so tasty. The amount of lemon they add in the sauce pairs so nicely with the cheeses they used. I say "surprisingly so tasty" because to the naked eye it doesn't look that special but when you take a bite your eyes get big because it's so good lol. The chicken was also insanely tender!!! However, at this price point, the plate was pathetically filled with barely anything. So they're charging high prices, trying to present themselves as a great place to be, and yet are feeding you less than the competitors out there. Our server was very nice, however did not know what tentacles were. Our server was slightly attentive but slow. The two pasta dishes we ordered were very disappointing. The sauce tasted like they came out of a jar and they were definitely not homemade or made from scratch in any way shape or form. The cheese is as well tasted like they came out of a bag and were not shaved or cut fresh. Unfortunately, I can even do the simple pasta better at home. Further, the alla Norma I was playing a game of trying to find the eggplant. My partner got the Bolognese and you could not find any meat in it whatsoever. It was very disappointing.
