All around it was fantastic. After eating I was shocked they were not busier!!! Cmon Cleveland. Tapas isn't weird. It's great!!!

Been here a few times and never disappointed. Food is amazing, lots of specials. Service is always great. Small atmosphere grest for date nights or family dinner. Accommodates later parties with an advanced reservation.

It was just okay for us. For a Saturday night it wasn't busy, sometimes not a great sign. The wine selection was amazing and unique and the waiter helped us choose a Portuguese wine that was excellent. I appreciated the little gratis dessert port at the end of the meal too. They have a patio which is quite nice though by a busy noisy road. The food was just okay...The menu huge and overwhelming. I think it would have been better if the menu were smaller so they could concentrate on doing a few things really well rather than a ton of things so-so. Food didn't blow us away but everything else was good.

Had an amazing dinner last night at Sangria. We started with stuffed banana peppers, a seafood soup, a Caesar and the grouper ceviche. The grouper ceviche was incredible! For our mains we had seafood paella and the seafood platter. Both were perfect. We had the red sangria, some other cocktails but the star was the Spanish coffee made table side by our amazing server Kadris. He was a delight and so funny. My sister was celebrating her birthday so they brought out a flan and sang. Flan was amazing as well. I can't wait to bring other people back and experience this little gem. The decor is a bit dated but in a good way. It's exactly what it needs to be.

Guys, I just had the most amazing, high-end meal I've ever had while living in Cleveland. The aptly named Sangria y Tapas, was well-prepared as a group of ladies and I descended upon them for a long Sunday lunch yesterday. We had reservations and were lead to their very classy private dining room where the attentive owner and staff told us a list of the specials and promptly took our food and drink orders. Everything they listed sounded amazing! Every time he mentioned a specialty, we were all drooling! Most of the dishes were fish focused. Also, the service was top-notch. They were on the ball for water and drink refills and someone was always in reach whenever we needed attention. After much internal debate, my budget helped me decide on what to order.Even though I really wanted some fresh fish, the cheap-o in me chose to get paella with just chicken and chorizo. I also ordered a side of patates bravas and 2 pieces of oyster Rockefeller. My bill was around $40 dollars. I probably didn't need the patatas bravas but I had a carb craving that needed to be quenched. After realizing later that they also bring chips, rice, and vegetables to each table, I REALLY shouldn't have ordered so much. The complimentary bread was fine. It is served warm which is a nice and thoughtful touch. But don't bother filling up on bread because you'll want room for the delicious tapas and mains. My paella was the best I've ever had! And while I've had oysters Rockefeller at the New Orleans restaurant that invented them, these were almost as good! I ended up bringing most of my patatas bravas and paella home so I could extend my meal all the way to dinner! And boy, they were the best leftovers I ever had!! Run, don't walk to Sangria y Tapas, and experience incredible European food for yourself!

Homey elegant restaurant with very friendly waiters. It seems to be a restaurant full of locals because the waiters seemed really comfortable with the customers! The house sangria was cheap and quite tasty!!! The house soup was flavorful yet light and I could've eaten so much more of it. Our favorite tapa was the banana peppers, must have! The paella was the highlight, it had lobster scallops mussels and a lot of seafood!

The experience that Yelp and the owner provided was appreciated! We were able to enjoy a night out in Downtown Cleveland which I always enjoy. The Ambiance: Walking in you immediately see the bar, great decor and hear inviting music. The main dining area isn't far and is set up for family style dining which I enjoy. Dinner time should be about community and often times many restaurants don't easily accommodate group dining. The place settings were a great touch and the servers were bustling throughout ensuring the guests had what they needed. The Food: Spanish cuisine sits at the top of my favorites. I in fact just visited Spain and thoroughly enjoyed the authentic food during my time there. We were served a 3 course meal- a house salad with a house dressing accompanied with bread, Paella accomplished by breaded chicken cutlets and flan for dessert. We were also given a house Sangria that was yummy The bread and butter along with the mixed greens was my favorite course. The rice included in the paella was my favorite. Overall the food lacked significant flavor which is uncommon for this type of food.

Great food and service! We were visiting from out of town and needed a place for a good business…read moredinner.

Quintaesencia was great to work with in June 2026 at accommodating our large group of 21 women, providing is with ample space, a dedicated server, and even making separate checks for all of us. To the surprise of no one, I love South American food. Okay, I like most ethnic cuisines, if not all, but I really love foods like arepas, chimmichuri steak, asado, empanadas, etc! I looked at the menu ahead of time and settled on some faves of mine, arepas and yucca fries, but others in the group ordered a variety of dishes amd drinks, all of which were delicious! I stuck with water as my beverage because the cocktails/mocktails were a bit too pricey for me. I ordered the trio arepas ($18) and a side order of yucca fries ($5), which were very filling and sprinkled with cheese. I liked my meal a lot although I would like to see a few more types of arepas offered on the menu. Our server, Valeria, was absolutely amazing and served our party of 21 women quickly and efficiently. There was a 3% card usage fee as well as an automatic 20% gratiuiy for parties of 6 or more, so after paying with card, my total bill was $30.54. I left full and happy and hope to come back again to try their other dishes, particularly their pizzas and a creative cocktail or two.

The staff are all very personable and welcoming. The food is crazy good. I got the chefs table tasting menu and was quite pleasantly surprised. The first course was a Welsh rarebit (which I've never had before but is kind of like a piece of toast). The bread was perfectly toasted, crispy on the outside and soft (almost pudding like) inside. I think it was sourdough. The Mahon cheese melted on it reminded me of a delightful Croque monsieur. The dollops of mustard/lager sauce were sweet and paired nicely with the savory toast and the bitter arugula. The second course was Parisian gnocchi, which I guess means they are made from pate a choux. They were crispy outside and pillowy within, and sat on some perfect snap peas that were fresh and crisp. The peas were held together in a subtle ramp puree. I don't often get to eat fresh peas in season, and I was shocked that they were so tasty and firm. The third course was a lamb shoulder braised in Membrillo ( a quince paste), served in a ssam style with Kim chi and curry rice. This dish was the one that did it for me. The membrillo gave the lamb shoulder an incredibly deep umami flavor, while also imbuing it with a Carmel burnt sweetness. The recipe didn't use doenjang or gochujang or soy sauce, but got to a similar level of umami. Wrapped with some Kim chi, herbs, and the curry bomba rice in lettuce, it made for a rich and complex flavor bomb in each bite. I was also super pleased that it was a very generous portion. You don't always get that in a tasting menu. The final course was a very delicate bread ice cream, which was made with the membrillo and covered with almond cookie and mint oil. The ice cream was so delicate it was at times almost like marshmallow fluff, and the mint oil really contrasted nicely with the bready sweetness of the ice cream.

We decided to do the four course chef's dinner to try a variety of things. There is also an optional wine pairing, which one of our guests at the table did and loved! I opted for take on the gin and tonic, which was smooth and refreshing. First course was a delicious cheesy toast. The bread tasted like it had just been baked that same day. Next step we had the softest gnocchi, with sliced pepperoni. It was such an interesting combination and very delicious. The main course was a very tender lamb and risotto dish. The lamb was very flavorful. We finished things off with a sourdough ice cream that was garnished with a mint syrup. It was unlike anything I had ever tasted before and it was very good. Our waiter frequently checked in on us, and there are two individual restrooms in the restaurant. I had a wonderful time and I would definitely go back!
