The two stars (instead of one) are because the service was great. The food however is a different matter. For a place that appears to want to appear upscale, it is incredibly disappointing. The pre-meal bread was just a cheap "french" bread from Kroger or the like: definitely not house made. While the fish was ok but not great, the "Saffron Rice" it was served was clearly just cheap short-grain rice with peas that was colored yellow. No actual saffron was harmed in its making. Similarly, the vegetables it came with were also simply steamed carrots and broccoli. Given the price and the amount of high star reviews, I expected much much better. read more

Amazing food and friendly service. Owners make you feel like family and the quality and flavours of the menu items are unexpectedly unique and exciting. Expect to choose from a selection of outstanding wines including a large selection of port wines from Spain and Portugal. We live about an hour away from Ibiza but try to make the drive as often as we can to experience great food and hospitality. This is a favorite spot! We had another great experience this week which is definitely worth chatting about. Everything was impeccable as usual, but the grouper special was over the top. The fish portion was huge and prepared with vegetables, diced potatoes and a delicious sauce. We finished the evening with the creamirst flan ever. Service is always attentive and friendly. Looks like a nice date place. The food is mediocre, lacking in flavor. The appetizer/tapas dishes are good but pricey for what they are. The mains are a definite miss. The paella was wet and definitely did not have the crispy soccarat bottom that makes a paella good/authentic. The mixed seafood in salsa Verde had zero flavor, not even garlic. Veggies and rice accompanying the mains also had no flavor. Also, check your bill!!! They added incorrectly and overcharged by 10 percent! And then they didn't refund us the right amount. Maybe it was an off day but I would not return based on this terrible experience. read more

We went their on Valentine's Day and ordered the specials, which was branzino. This is the second time there ordering the same and it was excellent. The other couple we were with ordered the veal and polo and said it was one of the best meals you've ever had. That's the good now the bad. This prices are above average here and first time we were there they charged us over extra hundred dollars. Now the second time we were there which was this Valentine's Day we were overcharged again by about $40. The bills are handwritten and hard to read so be careful and make sure you understand the bill before you leave. read more

While traveling along I-90, we stopped for the night in Avon and visited Ibiza for the first time. We were greeted at the door and given excellent service. Atmosphere was for a very nice dinner, with many bottles of red wine in display. After being seated they shared the dinner specials - which we ordered. Swordfish with a mildly spicy sauce, and Chilean sea bass in lemon and capers. Both were cooked to perfection! Hope you enjoy a meal there as much as we did. read more

Tucked away in a cozy corner of a set of bars and other stores in Avon Lake, Ibiza serves Spanish and Portuguese cuisine. Cocktails are strong and each dish bursts with regional taste served with an upscale flair by waiters staff who dress to impress. I went on what seemed to be a slow night. The wait staff were quick to rend to my questions of their menu and taking my drink, appetizer, and main course order. My wait time wasn't too long. I had the white sangria based on recommendation from the wait staff. I was very happy it wasn't too sweet and well balanced with citrus flavors in the white wine. The fried calamari wasn't too greasy and was served crisp and warm. My short rib was bursting with flavor and tasty ever bite, unfortunately the Spanish rice it was served on a bit cold. The stuffed salmon with crabmeat blended the salmon and crab meat taste well along with the hunt of aromatic spices. Very well done. The flan tasted nice. The Flaming Spanish Boozy Coffee was a show stealer. This boozy drink is made table side that is almost a performance worthy sow with fire and flaming sparks. It's a strong boozy coffee that big enough to share between two. Not to be missed for first time patrons. The price point, IMHO, is little high when compared to portion size and the overall experience. However not so high to deter patrons. Ibiza is well suited for date night to impress or family celebrating special occasion. read more

My wife and I had dinner there recently. We were greeted with a professional well dressed staff. The menu was interesting with unusual combinations but we were presented with their daily specials which were awesome. I ordered the walleye with bananas which was wonderful and my wife ordered stuffed whitefish. Wow! It was a bit pricey but worth the cost since we were celebrating. It's a pretty place with outside seating. At first I didn't see it when I was in the parking lot. It's on the end of a large building and the outdoor dining is built off that. Amazing! Be sure to get the seafood soup! Hot and full of seafood, with a creamy, tomato sauce. It came out piping hot which I appreciated. I had the beet and blue cheese salad. It was just ok. Had dinner with a large group of women last night. The staff was very attentive. They took our order quickly and all of our food arrived out at the same time hot and fresh. Which really was amazing to me with having such a large group of 23 women. I ordered the stuffed salmon stuffed with crab. It was absolutely delicious. Very fresh and lots of crab stuffing. I also had a red sangria, which was delicious and fresh and not too strong of an alcohol taste which I don't care for alcohol tasting beverages it was fruity and delicious. For dessert I had their flourless chocolate cake, which was decadent,. It was a dense, almost fudge like, cake but if you are a chocolate lover and love rich chocolate foods, this is definitely a must try. I also had a sample of their special dessert which was a pistachio cake. It was extremely light and fluffy. Very fresh tasting, very light in the pistachio flavoring in a good way. It was just perfect. I almost wished I had ordered that instead of my chocolate cake, almost.! if you're looking for an experience of something different in the Mediterranean foods, I highly recommend this restaurant. Their foods are fresh and flavorful with very large portion sizes. The staff is attentive and friendly. The restaurant itself is inviting and has plenty of room to hold lots of customers. They even had a very large outdoor patio area. It was too hot to sit outside for this visit, but on my next visit, I hope to be able to have my meal outside. read more

Maybe it's Monday afternoon when they just opened or I came in on the wrong day but i left feeling disappointed. The price is on a steep side too as it is more towards fine dining. Overall, the service is quick and nice and presentation is unique. However, the food is very disappointing. We ordered the Flounder stuffed crab and seafood paella. It's the worst choice as the seafood was not fresh that day. Furthermore, the dish lacks flavor and authenticity. There is no physical dessert menu but the server will mention at the end of your meal. At that point, I do not trust the restaurant anymore. read more

The exterior of this restaurant is almost nondescript, but it is a hidden gem! Everyone on the staff greeted us warmly and stopped by to check on us fairly regularly. I highly enjoyed one of the night's specials: branzino stuffed with crab. My husband and son loved the tomahawk steak they shared, as well. My daughter thought her vegetable paella was okay, but would not order it again. The lobster ravioli was a hit with another diner. The only real disappointment was the crab cakes. There was not much crab in the cake and it was just boring. We shared several desserts and agreed that the tres leches cake was the best! read more

We're surprised how highly rated this place is. Our meal wasn't terrible, but it was odd, and it certainly didn't live up to the hype. What was also odd was that the specials were not presented in writing, but were rattled off rapidly by the waiter whose heavy accent made it hard for us to understand him. We had to ask him to repeat himself. We won't be back. In fact, none of the many restaurants we've tried in this town have lived up to their glowing reviews. If you enjoy fine dining, or even just very well done casual food, don't waste your time and money in Avon/Avon Lake. On this side of Cleveland, it seems that you'll have to go to Rocky River or Lakewood to avoid disappointment. read more

I was so happy to find this place, and it was better than I had hoped! We had Sangria, which was sweet and refreshing. We were served warm, fresh bread and olive oil to dip. Two appetizers we ordered were shrimp ceviche and scallops with mushrooms and this amazing sauce. We ordered 3 of the specials for our entrees, two are pictured here. I had the beef short ribs with Port wine sauce, and that sauce was also amazing. My wife got stuffed branzino(a fish I'd never heard of) and my mom got the stuffed grouper. The server said that they get the grouper fresh every day. I tasted it and it was wonderful. My dad got veal scallopini with a very rich cheese sauce. Rice and mixed vegetables were also served at the center of the table. The rice was a little firm, which may be just the way they serve it, but I still ate all that I could. My parents claimed that they don't eat much normally, but they both ate everything, even with the appetizers. For dessert we all shared one Tres Leches cake, which was sooo good. My wife is Brazilian, and she loved it. After we were done with that, the server brought us all a complimentary liqueur that was made in house. It tasted somewhat like amaretto, and was served in a small stemmed glass with ice and a tiny wedge of lime. This was a great finishing touch and a perfect ending to an excellent meal. Nice atmosphere, service was good, wine was good. Now for the bad: Seafood paella a bit tasteless, the seafood did not taste fresh. Mussels from frozen, or overcooked. The chicken in the paella was bone-in thigh meat and tasteless, one scallop, two shrimp, the rest calamari, fish, and clams okay. the chicken siciliana sauce was good, the chicken itself a bit dry. Salad was iceberg with a sliver of a tomato, and I mean A sliver. Curled carrot shreds. That's it. Bread was not fresh. Portion size good. And then, the BILL !! It came to 67 (the wine was charged at 9.00, yet the menu said 8.00) minus a gift card I had for $50. They miscalculated the balance and charged me $27.00 instead of the 17.00. He ran my card before I noticed (my fault for not looking closely). When I pointed it out, the one man looked it over and said, no, it's 27.00. I had to show him the math and then he said, Oh okay you like a gift card for the refund. (I didn't tell him I had no intention of ever coming back). SO I said no I wanted a refund of the 10.00, which he then processed. read more

This place is a hidden gem - you would never know it's there in Avon Lake unless you live close by. It's in a mixed use shopping plaza that only locals are aware of. The food is excellent and the family that owns the restaurant were friendly, attentive and entertaining. Our group of 4 each had a different seafood dish and every dish was amazing. Atmosphere is very nice although while we had a late Friday night reservation the restaurant was not very busy. They offer a nice varied menu along with fun & unique cocktails. Would definitely recommend this place for a nice evening out with friends or if celebrating a special event. read more

Wow! We ordered the steak for two special and we were pleasantly surprised. Cooked to perfection and the vegetables and rice on the side tasted so good. The flan tasted amazing. Everything was presented so beautifully. We ate outside on the patio and enjoyed the nice breeze. The waiters continued to refill our drinks and had excellent service. This the the BEST restaurant in the Cleveland area. Holy cow! We read about it on yelp and stopped by on a Monday on a whim. My husband and I were blown away. The service was excellent. The prices were very reasonable. They also are very fond of giving "on the house" tastings of Mediterranean liquors and new dishes they are trying out. The food was so fresh, expertly prepared, and the quality was exceptional far beyond what you expect from even a high end restaurant in Northeast Ohio. We ordered the calamari and grouper with manchego cheese and pesto sauce. Best meal I've had in a long time. The "Spanish coffee" is a drink but it really is more of a show.
