To be honest, the first time I visited Sangrita with my husband, we felt it was a bit overpriced for the quality of the food. This time, I went back with a couple of friends and decided to give it another shot--and I'm really glad I did! The Chicken Fajitas were a 10/10 and easily some of the best fajitas I've had in a long time! We originally came in to try the fun shaved ice drinks we had seen all over their socials. Mine was delicious, but it very clearly had less than my friends' drinks ~ at least an inch from the rim while theirs were overflowing. Definitely gave us a good laugh, but when you're paying almost $10 per drink, it's something worth noting. Our server was great, especially considering she was new, and she kept us updated throughout the meal. Apparently, the bartender had called off, which caused the drinks to take a little longer than usual, but we appreciated her communication and transparency. Overall, the food was definitely a win this time around, and I'm happy I gave Sangrita another chance! That said, it probably won't become my go-to spot since you can find equally delicious food and drinks elsewhere with more options for not as expensive. The fam and I aren't regulars here but enjoy it for the most part when we go. There were plenty of other quasi-Mexican options but we decided to go here tonight. Wow - menu changed dramatically. I like change...when it's good. This was an overhaul. Our server mentioned Upland Hospitality Group bought the place and changed things up. I'm not sure I've had a bad experience with their bar food. However, what they are trying to create here was downright awful. And way overpriced. Dry. Spicy to overcompensate bland flavor. Queso that was the consistency of breakfast sausage gravy. On a Sunday afternoon I walked into the restaurant. There was no host or staff to greet us at the door. For a fairly good sized restaurant they seemed really understaffed. I just saw one server and one bartender. We had to wait a while for drink orders and even longer to order food. Despite arriving 30 minutes prior to brunch ending and confirming with our waitress we could still order brunch--she kept avoiding our table and then told us it was too late for brunch. The service was terrible but the food is good. I didn't love having to go to the bar to order my friend a drink who arrived a few minutes after the rest of the party. The bartender wouldn't help me either. It was frustrating as someone who has worked in bars and restaurants to see everyone else get their food and drinks before us. The waitress clearly was not familiar with the menu and got our orders wrong. They weren't that busy so it was super annoying that all the tables who arrived after us were being waited on and eating first. I was recently in town for a work trip, and my boss took the whole team out to dinner at Sangrita Grill and Cantina. She sent the menu beforehand, so I had a chance to look it over and plan my meal. I have to admit that nothing quite stood out to me when I first checked the menu and I was unsure how blown away I would be. However, our experience exceeded every expectation and then some. The interior is bright and fun and welcoming, yet a bit upscale. We sat at a table that had a couch on one side and chairs on the other. Our server was incredibly kind and attentive and overall just great at her job. She really made the night even better for us. I started off with one of the best mocktails of my life-- a mango Mojito. We ordered some chips and salsa to start and while the salsa looks like average salsa, it definitely was anything but. It was really flavorful and perfectly salted and a great start to the meal. For my entrée, I ordered the street corn salad and added shrimp, and split the giant appetizer tower with the table. We substituted the shrimp cocktail for the third ceviche, and somehow ended up with four total, but weren't mad. The habanero salsa was too spicy for me to eat, but it had a nice flavor. The green and red salsa were both delicious. The queso was perfection. I needed approximately two more buckets full. I am sad to say that the ceviche's were all a bit underwhelming and lacked that citrus flavor that I love so much in a ceviche. They were good, but nothing special. Now onto the star of the show: the street corn salad was absolutely one of the best salads in my memory. I have thought about it every day since, no joke. Thinking of planning a weekend trip to Indy sometime so that I can get it again. It was just perfectly executed in every way. The ratios of ingredients, the flavor combination, and the flavor/cook of the shrimp. I actually took some shrimp home and it was genuinely delicious. Warmed up two days later. Our foodie group came to Sangrita Grill and Cantina one Thursday night for dinner , and it was packed and busy. The ambiance was beautiful with a very nice bar area and nice signage all over the place. The acoustics of the restaurant were not the greatest, because they were a couple large loud parties near our table and we could not hear ourselves think, let alone talk to one another. The service was Ok, and our server was very nice and took care of our group very well. The food was absolutely delicious and wonderful. I ordered the ceviche with white fish and a couple of carnitas tacos. The ceviche with white fish was extremely fresh and delicious, and made my day. The carnitas tacos were superb and tasty. They had excellent flavor and spices to it. Everyone else loved their dishes as well. I did not get a margarita this time around, but will have to get one the next time I stop by to see how they taste. Sangrita Grill and Cantina is a nice dining experience in Fishers, and the food is well worth the visit, but the acoustics needs improvement when it is busy and you are not able to have a conversation with the people at your table. This is a casual place to dine-in. I've been here multiples times due to how conveniently located it is for me and my friends. I've never been super amazed by anything I've tried food or cocktail wise. I would say it's very average. My favorite menu item is the golden shroom taco. Usually it has a delicious, umami flavor and chewy/crispy (almost meaty) texture, which is why I love it. Tonight, though, everything we received was almost cold. It has been sitting for a while and just wasn't appetizing. I also tried the cowboy caviar tonight and wasn't a fan - it tasted almost vinegary? My boyfriend ordered two steak + one shrimp tacos and a side of rice. He finished them all but was also disappointed by the temperature. They were moderately busy with a party in the back but our wait times from the very beginning were beyond slow. Located in the Yard at Fishers, surprisingly not crowded on a Sunday night at 6pm. I've only been here one time before and I remember the margarita being amazing. I remember having chips and queso thinking they were really good. Tonight we just got the chips with the house salsa and the salsa tasted like it was from a bottle. Very odd and not very good. The cranberry holiday margaritas were amazing. We had the chicken mole and a beef taco salad for entrees. Both were really good. The taco salad came with dressing options of jalapeño ranch or a cilantro vinaigrette, I got both! They were both tasty. We got a great booth because it was seat yourself. We could see the entire restaurant from where we were sitting. The prices seemed kind of high for the food. Mole was 25 and the salad was 17but the margaritas were only 14 and quite strong. We stopped here for lunch one day while in Fishers. I was excited to try some different varieties of tacos. I liked that they did three tacos and a side for a $19 or you could order individual. I tried a chicken, pork, and beef taco. The pork was by far the best. It had great flavor and taste. I ordered corn shells because I'm gluten free and they unfortunately came in regular flour shells even though Iet our waiter know if was because of an allergy. Either he isn't trained in how to handle that or the kitchen didn't read the tags correctly. Either way it was fixed before I ate anything. The chips were really good and the salsa was nice, but a little spicy. I got a size of Mexican rice and it was just okay. Not a lot of flavor. I enjoyed the atmosphere of this place. It's very high end and probably really busy in the evenings. I'm sure it's a total vibe then. I liked the big open space though and the different seating options. I highly recommend trying the Short Rib Barbacoa Quesadilla if you visit Sangrita! I was glad to find it was well filled with meat and cheese so every bite was tasty. It had almost everything you could want in a quesadilla, though I do wish it came with guacamole or salsa included on the side along with the crema. I ordered the elotes for the included side based on waitress recommendation and was pleasantly surprised by the flavor. While I feel that Sangrita is quite pricy for what they offer compared to other local Mexican spots, their environment is more upscale, service was good, and it is conveniently located. I noticed that they were under staff so I did not know that the greeter was my server. She was really nice and was able to seat us. We were excited to return after the reopening, but unfortunately the new menu was a major disappointment. Several of our favorite items have been removed or significantly changed, portions are noticeably smaller, and prices have increased substantially. Paying $11 for a small bowl of queso or $14 for corn ribs that amount to roughly one ear of corn felt hard to justify. Many of the cocktails we previously enjoyed have also been removed or altered. My wife and I have come here quite a bit over the last few years. Sometimes we'll come to eat but more often than not we'll stop in for a margarita after dinner somewhere else. Last night we were there for a marg and dessert. Always good although overpriced, which I've grown to accept to a degree. I'm not sure how I didn't notice before, but they now (as of Feb 2025) charge a 3% surcharge for using your credit card. If this doesn't bother you, then it's a fine place for a drink. It is super cute and chic inside and it was pretty quiet when we got there but very busy by the time we left. We had a great experience with the ease of booking a table for a large party on a Saturday night. The food, also, was excellent! And, the cocktails were delicious. The one thing lacking in the experience was the service. We had to ask our server to place a drink order, had to ask her to place an appetizer order, and then had to ask her for sets of silverware after our food had been delivered. It was busy, but really not that busy at the time we went, which was 5:30 PM.
