    Ramen Hot Dog
    Christina C.

There aren't many options in this location's H Mart so this is one of three options. They offer Korean corn dogs as well as dishes like ramen. I ordered the ramen hot dog and got spicy mayo as the dressing. It was really tasty and the crunch factor was amazing. I love that they sprinkle some sugar on it too. I agree with other reviewers that this is on the pricy side. I also got the seafood spicy ramen. I liked the touch of fresh scallion on top. They also put more spices on top as well. I wish it came with more seafood as it was mostly little clams and one shrimp. The egg was pretty cooked by the time I got my order. It was around 7:15pm when we ordered and everything came out pretty quickly. I think they close earlier around 8pm on weekdays or maybe that's always their schedule.

Who does not like a fancier version of a corn dog, I am a fan. When I saw numerous variations of the classic corn dog, I was hooked. I am glad that I can come to H-mart to get my craving and share with my family members. I would suggest the original as it is the cheapest of the rest and taste the best. The dogs comes super crunchy and piping hot. Free parking so there is no excuses not to come and try.

Half and half chicken -- garlic tasty and sweet and spicy. Delightful.

This is some of the best Korean Fried Chicken I've had, and of course it's tucked away in the food court of an H Mart. My order was the half and half chicken, with sweet and spicy/garlic tasty as my two flavors. The order comes with pickled radish. I usually like to get a side of rice to eat with it. The chicken is super juicy and tender, the skin is very crisp but not overly greasy, and the sauces that come with the chicken are like crack. It was still warm when I took it home for takeout. I like that their packaging includes a vent so the steam can escape the chicken maintains it's crisp. The pickled radish is great to snack on between flavors to cleanse your palate. The portions are plentiful -- my partner and I had it for dinner and leftovers enough for another meal. It takes about 20 mins for an order to be prepared so I recommend calling ahead. Their number (312-285-2300) isn't listed on Yelp but is on Google for some reason. There's plenty of parking available in the H Mart lot. The entrance is off of Van Buren - it may be confusing since there's sometimes a sign that says "exit only." I think that sign is for the alley on the right, but you can enter the H Mart parking lot on the left.

This restaurant is located dim the food court of the H Mart. My family and I tried a Regular Hot Dog, Jumbo Dog, and Mozzarella Dog. We were all pleased with what we got. The prices are kinda high for what they are, but I still think that they are worth a try. The fried crust was unique, and it was sprinkled with sugar which made it sweet. The hotdog wasn't a Vienna, but it was decent. It took about ten minutes for the food to be served which wasn't a surprise as cook times were presented on a sign.

Korean hotdog has been popular these days. I've been on a search to find some in Illinois and I'm glad I found a place that does Korean hot dog. Order: regular hotdog, potatoes with mozzarella cheese, and regular with mozzarella inside. It was delicious but I don't think I would come back. It didn't give me the omg delicious like California Korean hot dog spots did. Overall, it's not bad. If you haven't tried it, I would give it a try still and see if you like it.

5 stars for the chicken (toreore) - my husband and i split the half and half chicken (spicy, sweet & spicy) and it was amazing!! exceeded our expectations! the sauce on the sweet and spicy was powerful and smothered the chicken - just how we like it. the garlic was also tasty. i went back and forth between the two flavors piece by piece because i loved them both equally. 3.5 stars for the sweet potato mozzarella hot dog because of the price and misleading name. first off, it is 8.83 (tax included) for one of these which is unnecessarily expensive. second, there is no hot dog!! it's only mozzarella filling, no wiener. so if you want the wiener, do not get any that have the word mozzarella in it. otherwise, super tasty. the cinnamon sugar(?) on it is a nice touch. 3 stars for the thai tea with boba. boba is tasty but the thai tea flavor is blah. do not recommend their boba teas in general as i have not heard good things.

The chicken was so good~ and they put a lot of attention in their packaging and making sure they slather all the sauce on each chicken. I got the half hot spicy and sweet chicken with the garlic ones. The hot ones were definitely a little too hot for my taste, so next time I think I'll go with something a little less intense. The garlic ones were amazing. It was super filling so I ended up saving some for the next day.

Very misleading name. Because I never Sang here. Never once. Nope. The H-mart on the west side of the loop in Chicago is pretty awesome. They've squeezed it into a part of town that didn't really have much space. It's not huge but it does manage to have three pretty decent food places inside - as well as a bakery - and one of them is this excellent Korean soup spot where it will set you back $12 for a pretty yummy Yuk Gae Jang. It's not the cheapest in the world but it's very tasty. I'll definitely be back here for another one next time I'm in town and will probably try one of their other suits as well. I mean soups. If they sold suits they'd be even more popular.

Hidden gem alert! Sang's Kitchen is located inside the H Mart foodcourt. I'm a regular H Mart shopper, but never had tried anything from one of the three restaurants located in their foodcourt. Instead of picking up lunch there to make at home, we decided to give Sang's Kitchen a try today! Serving traditional Korean soups and rice dishes, Sang's has something for everyone, depending on how familiar you are with Korean cuisine. I was feeling a bit under the weather, so I took the C10 - spicy beef and vegetable soup, while my friend ordered the spicy beef and octopus with rice. My soup was delicious! The glass noodles were perfectly cooked with just a little bit of a crunch, and the broth was spicy but drinkable. My friends beef and octopus was good as well! The sauce it was marinated in had a hint of sweetness paired with the spice. My soup was so big that even though I finished all the beef and veggies, I got a togo container for my extra soup and repurposed it later on that evening as a base for dinner! The foodcourt was packed, and Sang's appeared to be a crowd favorite as a line was forming as we finished up. Would highly recommend!

I got the C2 here, which is the spicy seafood noodle soup. The bowl is ginormous and I would say that one order of this dish is enough for 1.5 adults. It's pretty spicy, as the name suggests. They put plenty of vegetables and mixed seafood (shrimp, clam, squid, mussel) in the dish. The only thing I disliked was the substantial layer of oil that covered the soup.

Garlic chicken Sweet and spicy Chicken

This is yummy spot for a quick bite! Their garlic chicken is delicious. The servers were nice and accommodating (self help). The restaurant itself is inside the Hmart food court. It's cute and dainty!

Intention of this review is not to ruin this business but I hope that they will improve. Food I had 'jjambbong' and 'ddukbbokki' were the worst I have ever had. I then tried gimbab (korean makki). It was terrible that all contents fell off as it was not properly rolled. Please pay attention to food you sell. I paid close to $40 including tips but I left most of them.

    Jjamppong. Spicy seafood soup. Eh.

We had the Cloud 9 and Honey I strung the figs, both were quite unique and very good, surprisingly. What bugged me most was that the whole restaurant seemed to have only one waiter who takes orders. I got way impatient after a while waiting for him to come back to check on us. If we would have known better, we should have ordered and requested everything upfront. We did not expect him to have forgotten (or ignored) us for that long of time. In addition, I would have thought that the food, cooked and uncooked, would at least come out one after the other, at a steady pace. Well ok, they did come at a pace, but a very slow pace, very non-continuing. E.g the rice came out only when almost all meat was gone. So we never warmed up to the mood of having a satisfying meal as we have minimal on the table at any time to work on. Not quite satisfying as a dining meal experience. However, and however, If you want to come and take your time to chat and chat for the whole night, it might be the place. Have fun and enjoy your time with minimal interruption. No rush at all! I usually prefer good food first and then reasonably attentive service. So. I'd have to pass on this place. There are other better Korean fare for food out there.

For starters, we ordered the kimchi pork dumplings and grilled octopus, which both tasted great, but the kimchi flavoring did overpower everything. Our main course included the marinated short rib, wag rib eye, and a5 5 brisket which were all cooked to perfection by our server. However, my experience at Perilla Steakhouse was hands down frustrating. Upon arrival, things were off to a rough start when I could barely hear the server over the music. At times, I felt like our server was rushing us through our meal based on how much less attention he gave us versus the other tables. I'm not someone who needs my glass refilled every minute either to be clear, but things did feel off with how slow our meal was paced out and the general disinterest the server had in us. For reference, we arrived early to a nearly empty restaurant that hadn't started peak dining time yet. I recognize the steakhouse is an upscale, chic take on traditional Korean dishes and I admire the chef for sharing his culture with the city. I also understand restaurants are going to be more expensive, the closer you are located in relation to downtown. Even so, in comparison to other nearby high-end restaurants, the price to portion ratio for our meal felt off. For example, our $16 dumplings included 3 dumplings on a plate. Yes, there's an argument for inflation and the cost of quality ingredients, but I argue that at this price point we shouldn't have left hungry either.

They said it's basically a Korean restaurant with not much Korean food on the menu, but is really good. That immediately sparked my curiosity. I said let's go, it sounds interesting. We all met at 8:00 at Parachute that sorta, kinda sometimes takes reservations; and we did not have one. Not to fear, as the greeter-seater got us three stools at the bar, which by the way, were the best seats in the house. Parachutes menu was all over the place but my son particularly pointed out their hamburger, and I (then) knew why: Living in Los Angeles for a k-billion years, my favorite hamburger was at a restaurant called My Father's Office, owned by Sang Yoon, a Korean chef. His off-beat burgers were sensational! The burger here at Parachute were equally off-beat, so I immediately ordered it. Damn, was it delicious! There were so many things going on here that my head was buzzing, trying to put all these flavors together? And yes, their burger rivaled Chef Yoons burger in L.A.! The burger came cut in two with each side resting in mayo and BBQ sauce. Wow, was it bizarre, offbeat, unique, atypical and the adjectives keep on going; but the adverb used on the burger was - MESSY, and I loved it. I didn't need napkins to stay clean, I needed a beach towel. The fries I ordered were fantastic along with their banana based ketchup which again was strangely weird but excellent. My OB Korean beer paired perfectly with my "Perfect Storm" hamburger. My son and his fiancee went with a salad and Pad Thai Noodles with shrimp which was equally as delicious as my meal. Parachute Hi Fi was definitely an anomaly that I enjoyed very (very) much. And, yes, I'll be back!
