The last time we were on Sanibel Island in '23, Sanibel Fresh was my go-to for juices and light fare but they've closed. The menu here at Sanibel Sprout goes beyond juices- they have smoothies, açaí bowls, protein balls (I grabbed the cacao for me and the classic ones for my hubs), plus hot breakfast and lunch items(?). The space here is eye-candy: blush pink touches, light blonde wood and these woven basket-weave pendant lights that make Sanibel S. feel bright, airy and coastal. Greeting is instant the second you walk through these doors. Depending on the day, there's a small wait to get your items and if you're hoping to snag one of the indoor tables and escape the Sanibel heat, there's also a wait. The Sanibel Sprout is a nice stop if you're looking for something fresh and refreshing while on Sanibel Island. We each ordered a dragonfruit smoothie, and they were both great, super pretty color and genuinely tasty. Light, refreshing, and exactly what you want in a warm beach setting (service was pretty fast since we were the only ones in the store). The only drawback for me was the price. At around $10 per smoothie, it felt a bit steep for the size, even though we did enjoy them. That's the main reason for docking a star. Overall, it's a good option if you're in the area and want something colorful, fresh, and enjoyable (just go in knowing you're paying a bit of a premium for the location). BEST coffee shop on Sanibel Island!!! As soon as we walked in we were greeted by the sweetest people!! A long line but it went quickly!! It's such a fun place with a beachy vibe, so cute!! If nowhere to sit inside, there's an outdoor patio. I ordered the Carrot Zinger, sooo good! And my husband had the iced vanilla latte. We also ordered the Yogurt Bowl with fresh fruit & a drizzle of honey...I ate every bite! The chocolate croissant was so soft and delicious!! We live in California surrounded by lots of coffee shops but I have to say this is by far one of the best we've ever been to!! I went here for a late lunch with my daughter. The place was cute, and the staff was friendly. Unfortunately, I wanted the veggie burger, but the cashier said that she just sold the last one. I asked what she recommended and she said the un-tuna sandwich. So I ordered that along with a lemonade. My daughter ordered an açai bowl, and avocado toast. We grabbed a table outside, and the lemonade arrived soonafter. Maybe 10 minutes later, the açai bowl came out. It then seemed like a very long time before the avocado toast and sandwich came out to our table. We even noticed that the family who had ordered their meals before us, ate and left before we even got ours. Luckily, we were not in a hurry. I enjoyed the flavorful un-tuna sandwich, and especially appreciate the fact that the Sanibel Sprout is very vegan friendly! They had candles burning, everything was light colored and clean. They had a small selection of gifts to purchase such as tee shirts, stickers, cards and more. Their menu was pretty decent. They had your typical coffee drinks, hot and iced. They also had a couple of smoothies to choose from. There were a few food items to choose from as well. We only came for some coffee. I was just along for the ride. My mother in law and wife ordered the Carmel Latte, which was made perfectly. My sister in law wanted to try a smoothie she had read about. After seeing her taste it looked like she did really like it. They did have 3 employees working. They were friendly but did not make small talk with us. It seemed like they were used to customers who come in all the time, so us having to read through the menu sort of through them off. But still very nice. Overall this is a nice stop. If I lived on the island, I would be coming here for coffee a lot. There is no drive through so you have to get out of the car but my wife and I love eating and drinking local. After a big grocery run on a rainy island day, I was in need of a coffee pick me up. I searched for a spot nearby and found the Sanibel Sprout was open. My sister and I walked in to pick up two iced lattes. The staff was super friendly, and we found out it was their first day open under their new ownership. The shop itself is super cute, and serves up both vegan and healthy items like bowls, sandwiches, juices and of course coffee. They also have a cute section for merch and jewelry. I enjoyed my latte with oat milk and vanilla. It's located in a little strip mall, but parking is easy. It's also super clean and bright inside with tons of natural light. Looks like a good spot to pop in and work at or read if you want to linger longer. read more

Acai was delicious, but I do wish it had a bit more fruit in it. Granola in it was plentiful. My son didn't think it was enough, but it was just the right amount for my liking. Service was a bit on the slower side. We waited some time for our 2 bowls and 1 smoothie. The party before us seemed to have a larger order, so that could be the reasoning behind it. I cannot recommend any of the sandwiches. Came here with 3 other vegan/vegetarians so tried all (?) of the sandwiches. All of us agreed: Very meager fillings, very little flavor, and expensive for what you get (no side, etc.) Come on! Potato salad or cole slaw or mac salad or even chips would be so cheap to add! Chased sunsets and açaí bowls on Sanibel Island during my recent beach vacation, and I was lucky to find the best of both! The Sanibel Sprout is the cutest food truck with yummy wellness goodies like juices, açaí bowls and avocado toast. I had a delicious bowl with an acai base topped with crunchy granola and fresh strawberry, banana and coconut shavings. And I also picked up an order of avocado toast to enjoy a bit later on the beach. Both were fresh and delicious, and their ingredients tasted like quality choices. It sounds like this used to be a local shop that came back after 2022's hurricane as a food truck. And I have to say, this is truly the cutest food truck ever, with flowery art, friendly service, and a cute little seating area nestled nearby under the shade of a big tree, with bistro tables adorned with fresh flower bouquets. We visited today to grab lunch for our family. We ordered two açaí bowls, a pitaya bowl, the Mexican salad, and the un-tuna sandwich. The staff was friendly and working hard, but unfortunately it appears the almond butter went rancid, so we were not able to eat one of our açaí bowls and had to throw it away. I called to let them know that the almond butter had gone bad and they did not offer to replace or otherwise address the issue which was very surprising. They just thanked us for the info and hung up. The food was otherwise pretty good, especially the un-tuna sandwich. Perhaps they'd be more willing to offer a solution if you eat at their restaurant instead of taking it to go. If you go, I'd taste your food before you leave! read more

OK, let's get this review rolling, to start amazing ambience, spotted small Jesus statue on the venting system, amazing. We just brought one on a flight with us. What an amazing coincidence. Then the food arrives. I'm like what this is one of the best black bean burgers I ever had, it's delicious but you know it's healthy because you get real chunks of beat in there, but they're not overpowering. Also, chips were amazing. Also, I heard from my mother-in-law that the bacon lettuce tomato made with coconut bacon was five out of five stars. My wife had the avocado toast and can't stop raving about it. We almost caught three lizards in the parking lot.
