Changes were needed and change orders were always clear and presented that same day for us to sign. Costs on bid and invoices were clear. Solid communication from all members of the team. The final punch list was dealt with quickly. The team was creative as we needed to solve some issues with drainage and access. Had them add sod at the end and that project was done quickly too. They worked in variable weather (rain and sun), were on-time both days, kept us informed throughout the project, worked around our existing outdoor furniture, ensured our existing sprinkler system stayed intact, and cleaned up after they were done. They were respectful, nice, and very professional. Our french drain, dry well, and river rock installation looks fabulous. It was well worth the money. Before I worked with S&M, I had three companies tell me that they wouldn't even consider a project unless it was over $8,000-$10,000. I had previously removed a yard of bamboo, but could not get ahead on my project since I work full time. S&M came in and cleared out the weeds that had taken over, leveled out the yard with top soil, prepped an area for ecograss seed (I seeded the following spring), put in weed barrier and gravel for our area where we wanted to put in raised beds and a fire pit later. With their help, we were able to achieve our goals. What was different about S&M was their customer service and information sharing. They always let me know when they would be working and what they would be doing. Some companies don't tell you when they are going to show up and then nickel and dime you to finish the project, not S&M. They stuck to their budget and schedule! It is my pleasure to review Great Northwest Gutters…read more We had asked for recommendations from a trusted contractor for a gutter company. They told us that they only use Great Northwest Gutters. We had a few issues with the gutters that were installed when we bought our house. Two of the corners on the house were not draining at all and during storms would dump water in sheets - one just outside our backdoor. In addition, several corner seams were rusted and leaking through. We called to schedule a (free) estimate on a Friday and on Monday morning Austin showed up at 9:00 am. We walked around the house and talked about how to fix various problems - adding a downspout from the second story to the first floor gutter, moving downspouts avoid excess water across shingles, etc.The next day Austin had emailed us a quote with choices: aluminum or steel, square or round corrugated downspouts and color choices. We went with steel, corrugated and black. The very next day two crew members, Reynolds and Nahum, showed up on time with their truck. Both Reynolds and Nahum were professional, courteous and very conscientious. Whenever they had a question they would find my wife or myself and get an answer before proceeding. They took down the old gutters efficiently. Once all of the gutters were down they vacuumed up the resulting mess: mud, leaves and debris.After that was done, they began manufacturing custom lengths on site for the house. Ours is a two story house with 30' plus runs and multiple corner returns. Reynolds and Nahum had no problem with any of it and were able to move from one section to another with no lag time. At the end of the day, we had new, beautiful gutters installed.They cleaned up everything from the project including the screws from the disassembled old parts from the driveway. All the seams were tight, caulked and perfectly fitted, including a bit of custom downspout work feeding directly into our rain barrels. Reynolds and Nahum are truly top notch professionals. With the quality of work showed and delivered from start to finish, I would not hesitate to recommend them and Great Northwest Gutters

I live on a property with 4 free-standing condos. We have a common area that is required by the HOA…read morerules to be maintained. I has asked for a quote for the entire property, including all 4 private fenced-in areas. They replied with a quote of around $400, so I accepted and paid the fee. Then, they upsold me on the added weed-killer treatment, so I paid more for that. Then I was advised they had to come out a few days before the yard work to do the treatment, so I agreed. They came out and sprayed for weeds, but missed several spots and completely missed the private areas, however, I did not even realize they only did the common area until later. Additionally, they sprayed my neighbor's very beautiful ground cover in the parking strips in their driveway and killed the entire large patch of plants! Later that week, they came to finish the yardwork, and much to my dismay, when I returned home, they had missed the private areas. Also, I could not tell any difference in the common area from before they had allegedly done the work. Also, to my confusion, they had not touched the private areas! The yard people we paid much less money we had before did the entire property, and I mean they were out there for 5 straight hours, raking up all pine needles and hauling them away and really making the place sparkle. I looked at my RING Camera and watched them. These guys were out there for less than one hour. Didn't rake up anything and missed many weeds all over the ground! I'm not even sure what they actually did, since everything looked the same. I contacted the company and they were a little dismissive about it all. I advised them that my quote request was not just for the common area, but for the entire property, and I even showed them in the original email request. The only reply was basically, "oops, sorry", and a new quote for around $1200!!! I also informed them they killed all of my neighbor's ground cover plants, they didn't seem to care much about that, either. Additionally, we discussed the lack of actual effort put forth by the work crew, and again, just "sorry". I was going to remain silent and just chalk it up to having made a VERY BAD decision by hiring this company and apologize to my neighbors, profusely. However, just the other day, I received a bill from them after months of silence. So, I am here to warn anyone reading. TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE!!!

We had Aspen Creek design and install a specialized equestrian irrigation system. Obviously the water froze and broke several lines. After several phone calls and promises to come out with an irrigation service person, no one ever showed up or called back. Since there was no stated "warranty" on the work, I have no recourse but to hire someone else to fix this. As I've unfortunately read too late in many of these other reviews, this seems to be common.

We hired Aspen Creek for a full landscaping revision. While some aspects were positive - the yard…read moredesign is improved and the installation crew was hard-working - there were many frustrations, primarily with poor communication and follow through. We asked for hardscaping ideas and they had nothing to offer. Our Rainbird irrigation system leaves bone dry patches and flooded areas so plants die. Aspen Creek replanted the same plants only to die again. We have waited a year for the final design plan and plant list that has never come despite continued promises. Our sod is dying because the soil grade isn't correct. If you want good customer service, timely follow and clear communication, consider other landscaping companies. For what we paid, I would expect far better treatment. We have reached out many, many times, even trying to reach this business owner.
