Not only is he a dermatologist but he's also a dermatopathologist - long word for "he knows his s**t". Stress, hormones, illness, autoimmune issues, inflammation, heredity can play a part in your hair loss...and he will figure it out. He will take a small biopsy from your scalp and determine why you are losing hair - and then come up with the best course of action for you. It'll take about 2 weeks to get the results. My friend told me about him because she was losing her hair...her friend told her about him because she was also losing her hair...whose sister was losing her hair...etc etc. He has an incredible personality which makes you feel so comfy from the first appointment. He accepts most insurance policies where you pay your normal co-pay, however, please note that the biopsy part of the exam will usually go towards your deductible...I paid appx $150 for the biopsy part of the exam (and it was the best $150 spent vs all of the lotions and potions for thinning hair, vitamins etc on the market). Do yourself a favor and go see Dr. Gavino. You will at least know WHY you're finding your hair EVERYWHERE.

Got a lash lift, removed the product too soon on one side, too late in the other . Now one side is spiral curled and the other side is not curled. Make it worse? They broke off my lower lashes. So that may be why they chose not to tint them since what was left was sticking straight out!! Pointed out these issues before I left and she told me I was wrong. I'll be wrong somewhere else from now on. They may actually care about the issues I have from their bad service. When scheduling, I specifically asked whether you had an injector experienced with mature skin and droopy eyelids, as technique matters significantly. I was assured that you did. During my consultation, I explained that I typically receive 40 units and prefer a natural look. I also mentioned my droopy eyelids and that my previous injector adjusts placement to provide a subtle lift. I was advised to increase to 56 units, and after some discussion, I said fine (they made me pay the highest price per unit that I ever paid for that additional units) Within a week, my eyelids dropped significantly more than before. It appears too much product was placed in my forehead, resulting in pronounced lid heaviness. I am currently unable to comfortably apply mascara, and the outcome is very concerning. I contacted the front desk and was told a manager would call me. Instead, I received a text asking me to schedule another appointment. I requested a phone call but have not received any response. I am extremely disappointed -- both in the outcome and in the lack of consideration for their customers. Never again!
