I spoke to the doctors' medical director out there & they explained that they have researched resistant bacteria with bacteriophages one of two clinics in the world . They opened a DNA sequencing clinic to better identify pathogens. I have been fighting an infection in my nose for over two years since my last cosmetic procedure. I was referred to Dr Currasco by my cosmetic surgeon and Dr Currasco has been amazing in that he also embraces holistic approaches to healing. He even contacted this clinic for diagnostic kits. It's the quiet erosion of what medicine used to be: a conversation between people who trusted each other. If we want to restore that trust, we have to reclaim time, not from patients but for them. We have to re-humanize care by giving space to the parts that don't fit in a drop-down menu. Sense of impatience, the hurry, and the sense that the doctor is listening but not hearing. Being told "We'll have to schedule another visit." "I'll only bring up one issue today." Nobody cares anymore about the patient. Did you go to medical school to help people or to help the broken system? This was also provided to the front office staff We arrived 15 minutes early, only to be confronted by 5-6 front-desk staff who immediately and aggressively insisted no appointment existed and that we were unequivocally in the WRONG LOCATION--despite me providing the exact address THEY had given me, the doctor's name, and the scheduled time. They refused to back down, piling on the denial like a coordinated attack, treating me as if I were fabricating the entire thing or too incompetent to know where I was. Extremely bizarre behavior and suspicious as heck. Annoyed, I left and called the same scheduling number from my car on the way home. Who answers? The EXACT SAME British-accented woman. She pulled up my son's chart in seconds (proving they have our records), but claimed--again--there was "no appointment." When I confronted her that SHE was the one who booked it during our 20-minute call, she provided zero explanation, zero apology, and zero resolution--just more stonewalling and incompetence. The front desk had already gaslit me relentlessly, and now the call center doubled down on the same bs. This isn't a one-off error; it's systematic and deeply suspicious. Why does an entire team default to aggressively telling a parent they're in the wrong building instead of admitting a possible lost booking or system failure? Why the unified front of denial across in-person staff and phone scheduler? It reeks of intentional practices and incompetence. Then, when they deigned to "reschedule," the next opening was TWO MONTHS OUT. A child needing medical care can apparently rot for months while their dysfunctional operation protects whatever shady incentives they have. And, just today, they asked me again to come in earlier at a time I can't accommodate. More recently, I booked a skincare consultation with Salma, hoping to receive a personalized treatment plan for dry, dull skin. Instead, the esthetician barely examined my skin before returning with an armful of expensive products. I was only able to sample one of them, and there was virtually no discussion of treatment options or facial services that might address my concerns. The entire appointment felt more like a sales pitch than a professional skincare consultation. As a longtime client, I expected thoughtful recommendations and a customized plan, not pressure to buy products and a poor attitude from someone one who is supposedly a licensed esthetician. I left feeling like my time wasn't valued and that customer care has taken a back seat to retail sales. Also, when I speak to someone at the front desk, I don't think it's too much to ask that they are professional with me but that wasn't the case today with Holly.
