Too bad there's no where to sit & eat here because I could stay & spend a lot of time here. We were in the area for a birthday party so we thought we would check the bakery out. We got a brownie tin, a slice of red velvet cake for me, and a small container of hazelnut chocolate cookies & almond cookies. Their system is you order your food & pay at the cash which is in the middle of the bakery. Everything was delicious. I just wish this bakery had a location closer to us. Except they were one of the best we've had! It was seriously authentic Italian cannoli! But from where?! We HAD to find out! We checked the box and texted our landlord straight begging about where he had gotten them from. As he was kind enough to leave it in front of our door, he never thought we'd adore this place so much. He sent us to Sanremo's way!! Since then, we came EVERY SINGLE DAY. The cafe crema was the first drink I fell in love with! Ordered the exact same thing in a train station in Florence. I've been dreaming about how to make that coffee and finally, since coming here I've found the exact replica of the drink! Having it being the same drink brought me straight back to Italy! Look from outside seemed way smaller but they have different sections like donuts and pastries on one side. coffee on the other. and not to forget - the deli is on one and sandwiches on the other again. very well organized italian bakery - so is the taste of everything they make i believe. The sandwich counter experience was so organized: order, get bar code, pay, and come back for pick up on your way out. The dessert section was separate and there was a short line to order. We got a variety of cannoli's to try: lemon, pistachio and Sicilian. At the checkout you can place your coffee or drink order, and pick up at one of two windows outside. Overall it was a great trip! I would have liked to browse more but I felt a bit rushed as the staff seemed really busy! I ordered a corned beef sandwich on focaccia bread. It had cheese on it as well. You can't miss Ed the head baker; he's a really big guy (as in workout big) with a heart of gold! In addition to their infamous donuts are cakes, breads, sandwiches, hot Italian dishes and gelato. There is a full service espresso bar, small grocery section, and the bakery was on the Food Network show "You Gotta Eat Here." Beautiful donuts. They were large & in charge! These donuts were heavy weight from being extremely filled with quality ingredients like real fruit jams, cheesecake cream, Nutella, etc ! The dough had a good light chew too. My favourite was the Blueberry Cheesecake! That being said, it was overall quite sweet and hefty to eat. This is a great place to get a treat or lunch or treats to bring to an event. They have a whole sandwich and meats section that looked beautiful. They have a latte machine that prints your picture on the top with coffee. Really neat! The best of the best, for me, are the doughnuts! There are so many amazing flavours and they are huge! I have just a picture of the Apple Fritter. WAY more apple in it than you average apple fritter which was lovely. Lots of cinnamon and then what was really different was the thicker coating of icing and the almost crunchy exterior. The inside is so soft and lovely. This bakery is amazing! Yes, it took us about an hour to get there from where we were staying but it was so worth the visit. Upon entering, you are bombarded with deliciousness. They have a large variety of baked goods, cheeses, sandwiches, breads, and other Italian specialities. Everything looked amazing and they keep they bakery clean and organized. If you want to order from the bakery area, get a ticket and when your number is called an employee helps you out. Our goodies were neatly wrapped. Wanted to try this place for a long time after it seeing all the yummy pics on insta. Luckily I was in the area one day and I made sure to go there before heading off. I was overwhelmed by the selection of goods upon arriving. I ended getting a turkey sandwich that they offered to heat up for me. When they handed the sandwich to me, I was surprised by the sheer size of this thing, it was massive. I ate it on to go and it was not messy (thankfully). Went to this highly recommend bakery today around 2pm and it was packed. The doughnuts were already sold out so I definitely feel like it's a must try for next time. We got the house roast beef sandwich, croissants, danishes and avocado turkey sandwich as well. Literally everything was so good I don't even have words. The bread for the sandwiches were so soft moist and flavourful. The meat was thinly sliced and stacked high and even more delicious than it looks. I literally cannot choose which part of the sandwich was best cause it was all amazing. We went back and bought 2 more sandwiches to take home for the next day that's how great it was. The customer service was awesome the workers were friendly and polite. It was super busy and they were still all phenomenal. There are many stations, such as dessert, bread/baked goods, coffee and sandwiches. I got a focaccia roast beef sandwich, which was huge and delicious as a two-part meal. I tried a famous SanRemo donut that I keep hearing about. They didn't have many choices left, but I got the blueberry one. I also got a single-portion tiramisu (you kind of have to if it's an Italian bakery) and a small raspberry chocolate mousse. My favourite was the mousse, but it was all divine. A bit crowded, but they have a decent system which allows you to order then pay at the main cashier in the middle. Everyone was friendly. An amazing bakery! Jam packed full of delicious goods from fresh bread, hot sandwiches, pasta, deli meats, and sooooo many pastries/donuts/cakes/tarts. I came with my partner recently and were overwhelmed by all the delicious choices and had to try something from each 'section'. We had a montreal smoked meat sandwich on focaccia bread with crispy onions with a small salad for lunch there. The bread was soft and freshly baked, and the portion was big enough for a light lunch for two people. There is an area of tables and chairs tucked beside the bakery corner, so grab a seat there to dine-in. We then picked up a tiramisu cake for later that night and it was a hit at dinner. Everyone finished a large slice even though we after a full meal and made note of where we got it from. It was light and fluffy, not too sweet, and absolutely delicious. The ring of lady fingers around the outside was a lovely touch. It was so good that it attracted the attention of the table next to us and someone from their table demanded the same cake for their birthday when they found out it was from Sanremos. Thankfully, in the coming days we still have the donuts, bread, lobster tails, muffins, and cannolis to enjoy! Will be coming back, probably every time I'm in the area from now on. read more

Final had a chance to visit this location and try a few other items from their menu. In addition to a dozen donuts, we ordered almond croissants and a pizza. The dozens were not as exciting as the Nutella donut. Infact I would recommend avoiding the Skor and Banana cream donuts all together. The almond croissants were beautiful but really lacked flavor and the pizzas dough tasted more like bread than pizza. I had heard about San Remo bakery for some time now, but due to distance from my usual stomping grounds, I have never had occasion to visit until recently. The bakery is fairly expansive, with a delicatessen, a hot food and sandwich counter, bread section, desserts section, and a cafe area where you can buy beverages to enjoy with your food. There is limited seating in the cafe and desserts areas as well as some additional seating areas outside. Parking can be a nightmare, especially on weekends so pack your patience! I have tried their olive pizza bread which was pillowy and had a good amount of cheese and a few types of olives on it. I also tried their custard tarts, which I must say were not as good as some I've tried from Portuguese bakeries such as Nova Era. They sell churros that are prefilled with a dulce de leche sauce. I've had their Black Forest cake as well. Although I'm not a Black Forest cake fan, the cake was moist and the cherry jelly wasn't overly sweet. There was a lot of whipped cream (which I don't enjoy so I removed it) but the cream was thick so if you enjoy whipped cream and Black Forest cake, this may be the cake for you! I'd heard many things about the donuts at San Remo. They offer yeast raised bready donuts (which I prefer over cake donuts) in a big selection of flavours including chocolate dipped, Nutella filled, red velvet, coconut, as well as seasonal flavours. I got the chocolate dipped and Nutella filled donuts. While I enjoyed the dense texture of the donuts, the chocolate glaze, powdered sugar and especially the abundance of Nutella made these over the top sweet for me. I prefer a lightly glazed donut with similar texture. Standout desserts for me were the pistachio and chocolate hazelnut cannolis, as well as the chocolate hazelnut mousse cake. The cannoli fillings were nutty and not too sweet. The hazelnut mousse cake was delicious with a great balance of chocolate ganache, chocolate mousse, hazelnut mousse, and moist chocolate cake. Sanremo Italian Bakery has been around since 1969 a real staple in the community and is now run by the three sons of the original Italian owner. This place is insanely food eye candy everywhere you look, just fabulous delicious-looking food everywhere. I got myself a huge deli sandwich today it was their Muffuletta sandwich to be exact, it's an amazing olive infused bread loaded inside with Italian cold cuts mortadella, prosciutto, ham and salami, and cheese with olive muffuletta mix in the sandwich just delicious and a must-try, they probably have well over a dozen different huge sandwiches you can choose from and admiring them through the glass enclosure where they sit, I don't think you can go wrong with any of them. Food 5/5 just absolutely amazing food everything I have eaten here is made with care and detail and very generous portions. Service 5/5 as busy as this place is always, they really take care of you very quickly and you are always served with class, friendliness and in a timely manner If you haven't checked these guys out all I have to say is you don't know what you're missing. read more

Madhouse! Pretty overwhelming for a first timer. Staff says the weekdays are a little bit better. Crowded and noisy, different counters for different food items (coffee, donuts, hot table, sandwiches, deli). You can pay at some counters but not at all: for example, the hot table will give you a ticket and you can pay at the cash registers in the middle of the room. You can order and pay for your coffee at the donut counter but then you have to go to the coffee counter to pick it up. Had to go to 4 different counters to order and pay for my donuts, sfogliatella, latte and breakfast pizza. The most appealing and best tasting item was the lemon meringue donut: light and perfectly sweet. The latte was weak, apple fritter needed more spicing, the sfogliatella's edges were hard, and the edges of the pizza were hard as well. I'm sure everything would have tasted better baked fresh out of the oven. My aversion to crowds and their crazy ordering/payment system will keep me away but if I'm in the area when it first opens, I would be willing to try more of their items. read more
