I purchased a couple of side sleeper pillows from these guys. Not bad...the pillows work great if you enjoy sleeping on your side because that a half moon cut out in the pillow, like someone took a bite out of the pillow. You wedge your shoulder and off you go into La La land. Service is pretty good and most of the time things seem a little slow. There was a bit of confusion with I checked in and a coupon popped up for a free pillow. They told me that didn't carry this brand of pillow but took my number. A few days later I got a message that they had made a mistake and three in fact had the pillow. I'll be going to get my free pillow. Anyway it was wonderful that they corrected the error. I bought my dream furniture from Sans Midman all thanks to Lisa. When I went into the store I was not in a good mood, and underwhelmed by their choices in stock. A nice employee found me looking disgruntled walking around, and I told her that I wasn't finding the items I was envisioning for my new apartment. She told me she would find a sales staff to help me find what I was looking for. In comes Lisa. I show her pictures of the kind of bed set and sofa I am looking for and BOOM - she finds me several selections and I end up finding everything I was looking for and more. My couch is quite the statement piece. It is ginormous - literally 3 basketball players could comfortably fit on here -- it's the ultimate "Netflix and chill" (by myself) couch. My bed set is equally as elaborate. It's a modern, sophisticated solid platform bed with storage and an awesome nightstand. The cost was competitive and included the shipping, delivery and assembly charges. The only issue I had was out of Sans Midman control and my sofa took nearly 12 weeks to deliver. It had to do with politics at the port in California, and then an Act of God with the "snowstorm" we had here; I do not blame Sans Midman for it. I communicated with them regularly to try to get my furniture delivered. Now that it's finally here, it's a dream come true. The sales person who helped me (Kathryn) was friendly, not pushy at all! Ordered a pub height dining set, had to wait a week for over priced delivery/assembly. The "assembly" was ONLY the table not the chairs. And, my table isn't even level - awesome job. They didn't even have the table legs with them - so they had to leave & come back. Whatever. What aggravated me the most was the main guy (the boss of the two) walked right in my house and never offered to take off his shoes, or put booties over his shoes? My favorite furniture store to deal with. Clean, uncluttered, and they really do have the best prices in town. We've bought from there several times in the past year since they opened. Angela is always pleasant to deal with. For instance, their price on the CrownMark brand "Carson" 5-piece dining set (part number 2180) beats out even other discount furniture stores that maintain low overhead to offer low prices. We've purchased five of these dinette sets for our new vacation rental units over the past three years, and as they are made out of solid wood and not a fiberboard/pulped product we find them to be the sturdiest and last the longest, not to mention look better than other sets. We bought our first set from Pacific Lifestyle Furniture in Hillsboro a couple of years ago for $279, but Sans Midman has them for $257. read more

I can't say enough good things about Sans Midman. After an absolutely hellish nightmare experience with Ashley Home Store, I was a bit gun-shy going in to any furniture store. On the other hand, I was tired of eating on the floor... The salesperson, Tori, was super friendly and helpful, but in a low-key, no-pressure kind of way. The prices were right, and present selection smallish, with many catalogs to browse. They were able to get me approved for financing and some of my items on the delivery route SAME DAY! Yes, yes yes!!! The warehouse/delivery guys were awesome, too. One of my items was missing a piece out of the box, and they just brought a replacement - presto! And when I expected one item to be ready in 10 days, they called and delivered it NEXT DAY!! I'm super impressed with Sans Midman - do yourself a favor and buy furniture there! **UPDATE** I was informed at purchasing that I could payoff the account at any time - not quite true! Turns out Merchants Preferred Lease Services doubles or triples your principal balance if you don't payoff within 90 days. Read your contracts carefully and unfortunately, never trust a salesperson. Super, SUPER bummed about paying $2700 for $1200 of furniture. read more

This is an EXCELLENT store if you want nice looking furniture at a very low price! Make sure to show your Oregon Drivers License if you are from Oregon and want to save on sales tax. Angela, the owner, was very helpful, opening a box for me to ensure the color was what I wanted, since there wasn't something exactly like it on display. I have an issue with IKEA packaging and assembly headaches, but my purchase today, two different black side tables was incredibly convenient... One table was fully assembled and the second was unassembled but properly packaged. All four bolts for the legs were already arranged with the lock washer and regular washer already on each bolt... literally took 5 minutes to assemble! I can't even start to tell someone how exhausting it is to look for furniture in a new city. After checking out a few places, we decided that we might as well try Sans Midman. Honestly what could they tell us, even after being to a few different places? Instead of leading with deceptive sales pitches, Morgan was honest and very upfront about the items we we're originally looking for. While we didn't get the first choice, the second choice was a sigh of relief. We didn't have to travel around looking for a couch anymore! While we were there, we couldn't help but sneak a peek at the "As Is" section. There we found the most perfect bed for our young son, and at a steal of a price for that quality. Along with it we ordered a bed from there. Unfortunately not all was well, when we got home from our trip to the store, we realized that we didn't have the measurements for our couch or the livingroom. We did a quick search on their website and found it, and realized we couldn't have such a big couch in a tiny space. I called the next day and Sarah (Possibly Sara) answered and I let her know the couch we picked out wasn't going to fit. So I asked if Morgan was going to be in so she could help us pick something else. She gladly took my name and a short message and the weight of that was lifted off of my shoulders. Love these people! We bought our dining room table here. It was our first "grown up" table, and we were so upset to find a few imperfections in the top, AFTER we put it together. They weren't huge, but given the cost and our hope to have this table a long time, we were not satisfied. I dreaded the call and having to somehow drag this thing back, so imagine my surprise when they said they would deliver and ASSEMBLE the replacement! He listened to what I wanted, showed me options, and didn't pressure me at all. I still couldn't decide so I left, but called back a few days later. STILL unsure, Paul looked for comparable items for me. I ended up choosing a bedroom set he showed me in their catalog. I went to find a dresser and bedside tables for my new home. We were downsizing and our dressers were too big for our bedrooms. Maria was helpful to the max!! I can't speak highly enough about this place! When we stumbled upon the store we didn't think we would love it as much as we do. We were in the market for quality furniture at a great price and that is EXACTLY what we got. Over the course of a couple months we have purchased furnishings for 7 apartments and have had amazing reviews from our tenants and all who have seen photos and toured our condos. We worked with Morgan from the beginning and because I am loyal to people who go out of their way like she did, I try to always make sure she is working when I go in, but there has been a couple times when she wasn't there or available and the entire staff is so friendly, kind, and welcoming each time I go in. We were shopping for a sectional and found what we wanted at Sans Midman. The delivery that we paid 60$ for wasn't a big deal (even though according to their website they said that it was free if it was within 10 miles and over $1000). No matter, that's not the issue. When we looked at the sectional we looked at a few. We decided on one we liked and made the purchase $1700.00 and later delivered it the same day. Somehow we missed the fact the the chase lounge wasn't interchangeable and was fixed on one side. We believed it was able to be on both sides. When I called to verify, they said it was only on one side which meant the side we wanted leg support would require the ottoman another 400$. I'd asked if they'd be able to swing a discount and they said they would allow 10%off. Good enough for us, so we went back two weeks later to pick it up. Alisha was great at the counter and the guy they got moving stuff who moved our sectional into our place two weeks before recognized us, he was kind as well. When he pulled out the ottoman and took it out of the box he offered to have the feet of the ottoman attached of which I was like "yeah that would be nice man!" That's when this review changes... The manager of the store saw this and asked him what he was doing, and when he said asked if they paid for assembly? Then said, (like we weren't even standing there)- "they're already getting a 10% discount. They need to pay to have that assembled." I stepped in and said "hey man don't worry about it-I can do that at home." I could see the pained look on his face after he offered in doing a gesture of what would have made me do repeat business. The manager left, I looked at my girl and said it looks like the customer service ends at the management level. Let me state- we paid cash for everything (both sectional and ottoman). Paid for the 60$ delivery that was supposed to be free. Was not expecting an assembly of the feet on the ottoman, it was offered then penalized when accepted. There's a lot of places to shop. I have gave this rating 3 stars for the product and the service of the employees excluding the manager of which cost Sans Midman a 5 star rating and future business from us. read more

I purchased a full bedroom set from these guys a short while ago, the Craftsman King Canopy Bed with matching Nightstand, Dresser, and High Chest. I must say, it is the worst furniture purchase I've ever made in my entire life. The pieces of the bed itself barely fit together properly, and most of the drawers on the 2 dressers don't open and close without considerable effort. My hands are completely calloused and cut from almost daily splinters. Some days I want to just throw the entire thing out the window, but I refrain because I might kill someone passing by below on the sidewalk. What prompted me to actually write this review today is that the bottom part of one of the drawers today broke under the weight of some of my clothing... maybe 8 shirts... and what's worse is a few splinters went directly into my foot. Do yourself a favor and avoid this store and its cheap furniture products. read more

I came in here Saturday morning around 10AM when they opened and promptly purchased a bed for $187. The transaction was quick and easy. Delivery is a little pricey at $60, but they were able to get it delivered to me later that evening which is awesome. The delivery driver they use was very friendly, unlike most drivers who are a little rough around the edges. The dock in the star is for the bed - it seemed like nicer quality at the store, but that could be my mistake. The bed is a little flimsy but it'll do the job for what I paid. Saw the ads on Craigslist and liked the prices, was not sure about furniture quality (prices seemed too good to be true). So made the long drive into Vancouver to check them out. Very happy I did. Store is clean, well stocked, easy to find and navigate. Selection is good, although what I wanted needed to be ordered. Still a great variety of styles to chose from, I just happened to know exactly what I wanted. Service was great. Morgan helped with the order, answer questions, etc. Helped over the phone with adding on the service plan. Great to deal with, high level of attention and customer service. The same is for the other staff (sorry, did not catch names) I spoke to by phone. Order process happened on the time line Morgan said. No surprises. Price is amazing. I did some shopping after the fact. One dealer of Home Elegance, when I told him the price, said "that's insane". So I came here due to their craigslist posting. I saw a queen bed that I was interested in and reached out to see if they had it in stock but they didn't (make sure you call before you drive out there to see if they have what you saw in stock.) They didn't have it in stock but had a similar model that I was able to look at to make my choice. My sales associate was AMAZINGLY friendly. She helped me with different options and wasn't pushy at all. I'm one of those price shoppers so I let her know I would shop around to see if it was cheaper anywhere else. Kmart - 167 + shipping was 230 Amazon - 269 Overstock - 319 (with a coupon) Ebay - 288 City Liquidators - 259 Yeah they are definitely the cheapest by $40. I bought a queen bed and it fits in an SUV which saves you $60 bucks. Plus assembly took me about 30 minutes. Easy to assemble, would have been a lot faster if I had a friend help. They even gave me a follow up call letting me know my bed had arrived early. I would def come back to this place, and have referred my friends as well read more

Sans Midman was quite the jaunt for my partner and I, but we made it up there to get a kitchen island we saw advertised on Craigslist. Now, we have not assembled the island yet but what we got was a huge, heavy box of parts. So be warned about that. The interior staff was amazingly nice and helpful- not pushy, gave us space to decide and was very informative. However, the warehouse guy who got our package seemed really irritated or something that we were disturbing him and did not do a very good job of securing our package on our car with twine. I had a good experience overall but don't expect too much help from warehouse staff, I guess. read more

We have been very happy with our experience at Sans Midman. It is a pleasant place to visit, with friendly people and a warm vibe. Prices are good! The salesroom is not huge but they fit a lot in. They have a larger warehouse on site with things ready to go as well as discounted display items. As we just moved to Vancouver, we needed several things. We bought a very nice, interesting TV stand there, and went back later and bought a mattress and ordered a dining set. Also some cool pillows with gel/memory foam and shoulder cutouts. Morgan and the rest of the staff were helpful. I called to see if they had a headboard in stock. They assured me they did, and I double checked becuase I was driving from Oregon. I was told they have one I can pick up now. I made the drive but when I arived at the store they tried to sell me something else and said they did not have the headboard. I reminded the salesperson I had called and she personally said they had it. She stated she thought I was talking about the one she was trying to sell me in store.
