And sadly, this is the only one where we had a very disappointing lunch experience. It would have merited another half star because my husband liked his lunch angel roll. So, in general stick to their sushi here. The lunch menu is limited here -- especially in cooked seafood sushi items. And the few things besides hibachi did not include a soup or salad or any side. I ordered the hibachi shrimp. There was a slight language problem as he thought I wanted steak, but I was able to correct him in time. I realized later that he never asked me which type of rice I wanted. The miso soup was a large bowl served hot with tiny cubes of tofu. It was ok. The shrimp tasted like cold cooked ones that had been reheated. The vegetables were a few small pieces of zucchini and a few pieces of carrots plus a ton of onions (which I don't eat). Surprisingly the fried rice was the best thing on the plate. And I'm not a fan. Served hot. I took some home. There was only one other couple there the entire time we were there. They had a problem as they said they'd been there over an hour and a half and still hadn't received one of their dishes. They decided to take it to go. And still hadn't received it after another 10 more minutes. It's not like there wasn't kitchen staff. I saw two sushi chefs and 2 more people hanging out in the back. When we got our bill, we paid in cash. It took them forever to come up with the correct change. Sorry to find that this location doesn't live up to the Sushi Sake brand. Skip this one!

We stumbled upon this sushi restaurant while dining at the ceviche bar next door. After looking at…read morethe menu on their website, we weren't very impressed--it looked pretty basic. But we were craving sushi and didn't want to drive far, so we decided to give it a try. I'm so glad we did because the menu in the restaurant was completely different! It included photos of almost every dish, which made ordering much easier...although it also made it much harder because everything looked so good. The food was beautifully presented and just as delicious as it looked. The sweet and spicy edamame was absolutely finger-licking good. They use truffle oil in many of their dishes, which I love. We ordered the yellowtail carpaccio with a creamy truffle sauce. I usually prefer the traditional hamachi with citrus and jalapeño, but this version was surprisingly delicious and something I'd order again. The fried rice was packed with flavor and far from ordinary. We also tried one of their signature protein rolls, and it arrived looking like a work of art. It tasted just as amazing as it looked. The only area that could use some improvement is the service. When we visited, there were only three tables occupied, yet there was just one server and one food runner/busser. Service felt a bit slow at times, and we waited longer than expected. That said, the quality of the food more than made up for the minor service hiccups. Next time we'll just make sure not to arrive starving! We'll definitely be back to explore more of the menu.
