The pricing system somehow turns dinner into a game. You pay by the color on the rim of the plate. Blue plate is five bucks. Orange plate is eight. Before you know it, you're stacking plates, doing mental math mid-bite, and quietly negotiating with yourself about whether one more plate is "basically free."
