This is my third time eating ramen at this wonderful little obscure gem. I had ramen from all across the U.S. and this place just hits the mark every time. For example, the spice level is perfect (lets you know it's there but not a slap in the face) and the pork belly is cooked crisp not a floppy gelatinous add on like most places do. I get the hangover ramen which comes with pork belly and spam and add a few pieces of shrimp to up the protein. It's simply wonderful and the best flavor of any ramen I've ever tasted. We sat outside after reading reviews that mentioned it was loud and tight inside which it certainly appeared so once we arrived. Outside was great for people-watching as well. My daughter did not want Ramen so she ordered for the beef negimaki yakitori with a bowl of plain noodles. I had a very disappointing experience at La Sosta in Hollywood. As a woman, I was honestly shocked by the way we were treated from the moment we walked in. The manager didn't greet us, didn't say "hello" or "welcome," and immediately told us we couldn't sit down unless we ordered at the counter first. I completely understand if that's the restaurant's policy, but there is a respectful way to communicate with customers. Instead, his tone was rude, dismissive, and unnecessarily hostile. The way he spoke to us was completely unprofessional. No customer deserves to be treated that way, and that's especially not how you speak to women who have done nothing but walk into your establishment intending to spend money. We were made to feel unwelcome and like we were a burden rather than valued customers. Customer service is about more than just serving food--it's about showing basic respect and courtesy. Unfortunately, that was nowhere to be found during our visit. There are so many great restaurants in the area where customers are greeted with kindness and appreciation. Sadly, La Sosta is not one of them. I won't be returning, and I hope management takes customer service more seriously in the future. read more

I was talking to my mom the other day about their curry ramen and was in the area today, so I decided to try it out. The day after Valentine's Day, there was only one server in the whole restaurant. He was nice and we got to sit outside, but the one server definitely slowed down the service. The breeze was nice outside so we dined out and it was great. I ordered the supernova for my daughter and the curry ramen for myself. My daughter gave the sushi, 2 thumbs up and I give the ramen 4 out of 5 stars because it is a different recipe than what I previously had. The taste is milder and not as spicy. The chicken in the dish seemed like an after thought, so in the future I would order the fried chicken or maybe shrimp to make it better. GoBistro is one of my favorite spots for ramen in South Florida and a place I always recommend to others. I'm always so hype to go here. Unfortunately this last visit disappointed me a bit. Service was quick and friendly, as usual and we came at a great time, it wasn't crowded and our group of 7 was the loudest there (sorry lol). But the flavors from ramen really fell flat. I ordered the tonkotsu and my husband ordered the shoyu pork, we agreed on the underwhelming flavor of the ramen (which is usually super rich) and abandoned our bowls when we were halfway through. Sushi was DELICIOUS though. Hooked on the Holy Smokes roll, we ordered two. Also, the GoNuts have also fallen flat. They were pretty dry and lacked that delicious drizzle of condensed milk over them. Go to GoBistro. We're not from the Miami area and looked up best sushi in the area in Yelp. We had 10 options, but GoBistro was #1 and they were open late. We were finally getting out of the hotel around 9:30, so being open late was important. When we got there on a Thursday night it wasn't packed, but many of the tables inside and out were filled. We were seated and given menus. Our server (who I think might also be the owner) was great. They were out of a few drink options, but he provided great replacements. My wife doesn't like spicy food or cilantro and some restaurants make it seem like an inconvenience or insult to modify what they have, but he didn't do that at all! He was super helpful and overall just fun to talk to! We got some delicious fried gyoza, ginger chicken bun, these tuna balls, and 2 rolls. Everything was incredible! Specifically, I got a roll that is often called a volcano roll. Basically fish and jalapeno, sometimes avacado or something else. I always enjoy them but this one was incredible. The way the ingredients were laced together made it all one delicious bite. Especially when paired with the recommended panzo sauce... Delicious! You can pick where you want to sit once someone attends you but some tables are reserved for larger groups even on slower nights. I tried adding red chili to it to add some spice to it but this places chili isn't that spicy compared to others. Boy, we're we grateful that this restaurant was open so late. I do feel for the staff. I came really late. It was just after attending Holloweird. The staff was very friendly. Our waiter, a bearded guy dressed in a dress costume with a colorful long hair wig was phenomenal. He had us laughing the entire time. He gave a surprisingly great service.
