The first time I took two brand-new pairs of boots to have the soles reinforced, something that was suggested to me by the boutique owner who sold them to me. She thought it would help them last longer. I'm still wearing them and they have in fact lasted a very long time. The second time was more recently, when I dropped off a sandal that had a strap that had come unglued from the sole. It took me a very long time to return for it (they had said they'd call when it was done but did not -- I can't remember if that happened the first time I took something in but honestly it didn't bother me that much) and when I arrived it was right there, hanging on the wall where I could see it. They have a lot of shoes to look through so I was glad I could help them out by pointing to it. They seem pretty busy but have always been friendly to me. I don't have a good frame of reference for how much things should cost when it comes to things like shoe repair, so sometimes services seem expensive to me but then they probably are right in line with what they should be. All in all, I would definitely return just based on my positive experiences in the past.

When he punched the holes, I went to pay him and he said "no charge for punching holes". While I was there a lady came in to pickup her shoes. I don't know what he did but only charged her $8.00. I thought that was a very good price. I told him we would be back when we needed any shoe work done. Looking around his shop, it looks like he does a lot of boots. He was very personable. Recommend him for any shoe repairs.

3 weeks ago, I walked into this shop looking to have my sneakers reattached to their soles. There…read morewas visible detachment on the sides and based on the conversation with the owner, the best course of action was to do a complete removal and attachment of the sole. It was inevitable and to reduce any liability on his part, I went ahead and detached the soles myself right in front of him. He told me it would take 10 days or so, but when I didn't hear back, I got worried. I decided to call and he had a bit of difficulty recalling the work order and told me 'I did the best I could do'. This isn't exactly confidence building. I arrived to pick up my sneakers and was in complete shock - and I mean complete, and utter shock. There was glue everywhere. The paint on the lower sole( nowhere near the points of attachment)was removed and sanded down which changed their appearance. The owner handed them to me stating he 'really had a hard time with these' and 'almost gave up'. Aside from the destruction, aesthetically, The fresh glue applied was already breaking down. I paid the owner and left quietly without asking any questions or causing a scene. I called the owner to tell him exactly how I felt - I was not looking for money; I was not looking for payback. I just wanted to understand how something like this could come from a skilled shoe repairman with years of experience. I was pretty hurt and I needed to have a conversation. The owner completely understood where I was coming from and I did get a sense he was genuinely sorry. I debated for days about whether or not to write a review because I realize how incredibly damaging they can be. On the other hand, I feel obligated to do this. I have a hard time believing something like what you're seeing could come from the hands of a professional, so it leads me to a few conclusions. The first is obvious and that is he did not know how to fix the problem, and realized half way it was not going well. He chose not to inform me, or at the very least, refer this project elsewhere. The other one is that the owner, over the years, has relied extensively on his reputation that by most accounts, is pretty respectable. I would bet the majority of his customers are regulars because they would back him, but his skills are compromised - Bigtime. He is a nice and kind man, but this doesn't change that fact my sneakers were completely destroyed and cannot be salvaged - I have since thrown them in the trash.

Replacing boot soles, heel pegs, or general boot maintenance. They've done a 5/5 job. Handbags, here's where we run into issues. Took them a Saint Laurent black bag that needed some polish And a good clean. Unfortunately, they polished with black straight over the logo and left the bag in a "will stain all clothing" condition. I had to clean it myself and take the bag to another more specialized handbag service shop in phoenix. Would just say that this is not their forte and you should look elsewhere, don't cut corners with luxury items. 2/5. Service is a little rough around the edges. Sometimes, there's no one in the shop and you have to fetch someone from the neighboring dry cleaners. Everyone's been very nice but I do sense that there's not a lot of communication when you drop off your item to what is being requested.

I have bought my last 3 pairs of boots for work from here. I…read morealways recommend Redwing boots, but always with the disclaimer that it SUCKS to break them in. A lot. Also, the only reason I am on my 3rd pair of boots is because I don't take care of them. Any other brand and I would probably be on my 8th pair of boots. And free shoelaces for life of your boots! I always have to get steel toe boots but there are other options including steel toe tennis shoes and many that aren't steel toe. Some of the boots and shoes are pretty trendy so I say its worth a look!
