Ok, so I read the reviews before I tried this place. I experienced the poor customer service, and closing before 6pm that I had heard about, which I was okay with provided the quality of work was good, after all I needed my shoes and boots repaired. However, after picking them up, it looks like a child has repaired them. Stitches are all over the place, the thread doesn't match and I will never be coming back here to have anything repaired. read more

Great work, was finish at designated date. They only takes cash, I strongly suggested a sign on the door that says CASH ONLY. That it would save everyone from an embarrassing moment. Otherwise a great place to boots or shoes repaired. They replaced the heels on a pair of COSPLAY boots which had hollow heels. read more

I brought 2 pairs of the same work boot to this gentleman to fix. The soles glue had given up the ghost. The owner resoled 2 pairs of work boots for me at what I would consider a reasonable price. $40 each pair. They look and have been great. I have no complaints. I love my heels and it is very important to me to find a good cobbler who is able to work magic and bring them back to life. Heritage Shoe Repair is located inside a strip mall and would be easy to miss. Inside the proprietor and cobbler sits amongst tons of shoes and there is a strong smell of leather as you enter the door. The cobbler's English isn't the best and if you offer a credit card he will point at a sign tapped to the glass case in the front that says Cash or Checks only. Language barriers aside he does a darn good job. I dropped off a pair of Cole Haan heels that desperately needed to be re-heeled and I need them fairly quickly. I asked him if they could be done in five days he nodded and said it wouldn't be a problem and then wrote down the date and looked at me to be sure it was correct. I nodded and left the shoes with him. When I returned he got up quickly grabbed my shoes (before looking at the slip of paper no less) and showed off his work and I paid him. It has been over 4 months since they were re-heeled and I've had no problems. Re-heeling is a fairly simple procedure so I'm giving this establishment 3 stars for the time being and when I return to have a pair re-soled I'll update because I feel that is a true test of a cobbler. read more

I went to get an insole grip on the bottom of my Christian Louboutin shoes which worth $695. When I went I told the guy that those are expensive shoes and all I want to do is install the gripes on the bottom of the shoes where your feet has the pressure on when you walk so they don't slip. However I even ordered those rubbery grips from amazon and just showed him where to install them. When I went to receive them after 4 days I found that he scratched the whole bottom of my red Louboutin sole and installed the rubber all the way where the brand name was which he basically ruined my shoes! There is no word can describe how I felt and still feeling. When I saw it I got shocked and told him I didn't want it like that I want only in the botttom where no one can notice it. He even was rude and said that I shouldn't be complaining because this how it should go!!! What?! No I've seen so many people done it and none of them take it all the way to ruin the brand logo and take it all the way high! there is no reason to do that at all this was made for just to protect the bottom of the heels not to cover the brand logo and be noticeable . Im extremely pissed and mad and no word can honestly express what he did. He is very unprofessional and rude Im gunna sue him for what he did. He also charged me $25 for ruining my Louboutin shoes! Also his hand was dirty and got my suede shoes all patched and dirty. This place is very bad, unorganized, messy He threw all the shoes on tbe dirty floor all mixed up! they cannot tell a difference between high end brand shoes and others. Called and talked with owner and told him about my leather straps on my purse needing to be repaired. He said he would be able to repair it but couldn't give me a ballpark amount for threading coming out. Went that afternoon and they were closed even though I was told business hours were till 6 (was there at 5:30). Call the next day and am told he'll be there till 6, which he was this time. However he laughed at me when I showed him my purse and said he doesn't repair straps or purses. It's fine if they don't - but be upfront about it to begin with. The man in the store was the same guy on the phone so he should have known they don't repair leather straps (although previous reviews say they do). Very upset with the waste of time. read more

Brought my Coach purse in for repair because the handles were falling off the body of the purse. I was a little nervous to leave my favorite leather bag, based on some of the obnoxious reviews I read. Glad I decided to give them a try and not be affected by the stupidity of others. They did great work. It cost me $10. I would say the stitching was better than Coach had done themselves. The other reviews are dumb. This is a shoe repair. I had two favorite pairs Cole Hann Men's loafers resoled. He did a very good job, quality materials were used and they look great...but the repairs cost $124.00 total. I really like the shoes and they have lasted over 20 years now so I suppose if I get another 20 years out of them then the repair price was fair. read more

I don't generally complain but between the language barrier and rudeness I had a very bad experience with this establishment. I had a simple problem which I pointed out. When my wife went to pick up my shoes she saw that he had repaired something that didn't need repair and ignored the problem that I had pointed out. When she showed this to him he just kept saying, "Your husband" in a rude and dismissive tone of voice. I tired to go back to work this out with him but he was closed at all of the times when I could come back. This place is okay. The cobbler who works there knows his stuff and does a good job. I buy medium-grade shoes for business (not going to spend $300 for something that is meant to spend its days in contact with soil and pavement). The heels wear before the uppers, sometimes the soles need a little repair. He'll get it done in a few days for a few bucks. Only ever had one problem: he glued a new heel cap on my wife's boot, and it fell off a coupe of weeks later. He corrected it quickly at no charge and it stayed out. The place is not frilly or froofy. It's a cobbler's shop. The cobbler doesn't make pleasant conversation; he transacts business and repairs shoes. He doesn't sell laces or polish or other accessories. Also, he doesn't accept credit or debit cards-- pay only with check or cash. Don't make the check out before you get there because it needs to be made out to their home shop down south which has a different name. Good place, good quality. Stands behind his work. read more
