    2 bottle & 2 bags for $30, + a freebie :)

Huge selection of spices, herbs, and salts. Ranging from curries to sugars - all over the world. Seems high quality! Friendly, very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Picked up a 2 bottles and 2 bags for $30. Got a freebie for my birthday when I signed up for the club too :)

All I can say is .... W O W!!! The selection is huge, so plan on staying for a bit so you can peruse the store and sniff their testers so you know what aroma you're getting from that particular product. Was extremely impressed with free shipping with certain amount spent; well worth it so I didn't have to place in my suitcase Nice to know you can order online!!!!

    Over $60/lb

Lovely shop with lots of spices. The staff is friendly. Sadly, the prices are outrageously expensive. $27 for less than 7 ounces of chili powder is more than $60/pound. There are plenty of other shops to get get chili at much better prices.

We bought the taco soup mix and added 1 cup organic chicken and a couple extra goodies. We used 2cups chicken broth, 1 cup chopped chile and 1 sweet onion. I also added another 4 cups broth after an hour to let the chicken get more tender. After two hours of simmering we had the most amazing soup on the planet!!! Thank you for the awesome starter!!!

Awesome spice shop with tons of fresh spices in whatever quantity you are looking for. Taster bottles to try before you buy. Friendly helpful staff.

My god, what a find!…read more A friend and I stumbled upon this store while on a two hour visit to Santa Fe on our way to Albuquerque. We loved it so much that we spent a significant amount of time in here sampling all of their balsamic vinegars. You'll feel like a kid in a candy store with all of the classy stainless steel dispensers available for you to sample at your leisure. It was so difficult to decide but I walked out of there a happy woman with a bottle of their 18 yr aged tradition balsamic vinegar (top seller) and a bottle of their, wait for it... Georgia Peach Balsamic Vinegar.. my god. As you would imagine, that vinegar is light colored, rich and sweet (just how I like my men). This place is a DEFINITE stop if you are a balsamic vinegar, olive oil and/or salt connoisseur. Prices are reasonable ($20/per bottle), considering the amount and the quality. I like to think of this place as a little slice of Europe in the middle of Santa Fe. Also, I came across this video tonight while trying to figure out if Oleaceae already had a presense on Yelp. It's informative and gives you an idea of the classy stainless steel dispensers I mention in my review: http://vimeo.com/19817153

We definitely preferred to European style with almond milk, but I think that we would like the more traditional ones if they were made with milk. We also really liked the brownies, though the Aztec brownie + ice cream gave me an intense caffeine overload--my fault! Our first time here we each got an ice cream, both with fudge and whipped cream. As I said, while the Aztec was delicious, it really was too much for me, but I still ate the whole thing! I was surprised by how much I enjoyed my husband's mint chocolate chip--the peppermint flavor was real--it tasted like they soaked the milk with peppermint leaves to make it, and it was so refreshing! We liked the chocolate truffles and bon bons so much that we ended up buying them as gifts. Our favorite flavors were the sage/goat cheese, peanut butter bar, Aztec round, bourbon pecan, and lavender. Finally, the service was outstanding. The servers were so kind, patient, and helpful. Our first trip the server took the time to write each flavor on our box of chocolates so that we would know what was what. The second server listened as we decided which treats were for which friends, and he wrote their names on each box before wrapping them. So very kind!

The quality of the product definitely stands out. Unfortunately, the service did not match the standard of the chocolates. When we asked about the different varieties and flavor differences to help decide what to purchase, the response felt dismissive and unwelcoming. For a specialty chocolate shop, customers should be able to expect knowledgeable and engaging guidance, especially when navigating a premium selection. Instead, it felt as though our questions were an inconvenience rather than an opportunity to share expertise and enhance the experience. The lack of warmth and customer engagement significantly took away from what should have been a memorable experience.

Chile shop carries Los Chileros and so does five and dime. Los Chileros is a very authentic New Mexican brand of chili products and seasonings, they sell to almost every major New Mexican restaurant. Five and dime uses Los Chileros chili powder for their famous frito pie. It's a very complex chili. The Chile shop's brand of chili powder is so amazing too I'm thankful I bought the 1 lb bag of spice because I made beef adovada at home with that spice and oh my gosh, it literally tastes like I'm in New Mexico and boy is it hot. Very simple store with only new Mexico's best. Kind and helpful staff, very cool store for sure. My only regret is that I didn't stock up enough. The website has a dated feel to it but I feel that's because they focus on the product, not the bells and whistles. We even visited the physical store in Santa Fe on a road trip. It has to be good if you're willing to drive 1800 miles to be there in person. It was almost a pilgrimage. The cherry on top? My 91-year-old Hispanic mother-in-law gets all her chilis here. If that's not a ringing endorsement, nothing is.

I ended up spending time browsing their high quality merchandises including some spices, balsamic vinegar and..olive oils. Man...there were so many things to sample and flavors...and I only tried a few of each that intrigued me. I got so into it that u even left my cell phone there (until someone announced out loud whose cell phone was this?!?!..oops). Anyways, I got their brochure home so I could plan on ordering and getting some items delivered for some of my friends and myself for sure...just need to decide what I wanted because there were so many things go choose from! Furthermore, what was so refreshing was their ice cream! The ice cresms were Henry's homemade ice cream (from El Paso i think) and there were so many interesting toppings ti choose from. My gluttony eyes and stomach ..after trying some samples, opted for a double scoops (because..just a single scoop wouldn't do justice to yummy treats!) of pistachio and coconut ice cream, with toppings of pomegranate dark balsamic and red chile honey. After finishing ice cream, which I totally devoured..I realized..sang u forgot to even ask for an evoo topping! Well, maybe next time I'm there! Check this place out! There are so many things check out and sample. The staff were nice and helpful. I think you can easily spend 30-45 min there browsing at the store. For me, I ended up being 45 min later than my original thought of meeting time..because I go so caught up spending time at this store checking out and trying their products!
