My experience is similar to others in that I made an appointment and no one showed up. They did not call, email or otherwise respond.

Called him worth a question from which he could not profit. Gave me a patient and thorough answer.

Horrible experience. No show quote appointment. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere for your glass needs.

Had no problems. Just had to wait a couple of days longer than told. But helped me out in the end.

Pat made the glass to fill in a coffee/end table I'd found, whose glass was missing or broken.

I had D&D Glass replace all the old aluminum frame windows with new Simonton Vinyl Windows and D&D…read moreGlass was fantastic to work with! They came in priced competitively and were less than the other two estimates I received. The others were pushing Milgard Windows but in my line of work as a real estate agent, I've seen too many newer Milgard Windows on houses where several had already failed in around 5 or 6 years. The other companies were trying to sell me on the fact that Milgard offers a rock solid warranty but I decided I'd rather deal with the company that installs a better quality product, also has a rock solid warranty and at a little lower cost to boot. The service and quality of the installation were top notch and I rest a lot easier knowing that we now have good-quality windows that were installed correctly so I don't have to worry about leakage. Thank you D&D Glass- you get my highest recommendation!

I had previously used D&D Glassworks with good results, but this French-door project was…read moredisappointing--especially for an expensive project costing more than $7,000. The doors were repeatedly delayed, the wrong handles were installed, and the insect screens were missing with no firm installation date provided. The screens were included in the project price, and I had already paid a substantial deposit toward the order. Initially, D&D offered to let me withhold only $100 despite being unable to provide an installation date for the screens. After I objected, they agreed to leave $500 unpaid until the screens could be supplied and installed. They are now asking me to pay that remaining $500 even though, at the time of this review, they still do not have the screens and the screens have not been installed. A trim piece was also left for us to have cut. I was not told before the installation that the new exterior trim and the white caulking around the trim joints would still need to be painted, leaving me with additional work and expense to finish the project properly. D&D later offered to replace the handles and arrange to have the trim piece cut, but I declined because I had lost confidence in their communication and follow-through. I decided to complete the remaining work myself. Update: My main concern remains the outstanding $500. Your email stated that I could leave $500 unpaid for the screen and its installation until you were able to complete that work. The screens are still unavailable, have not been installed, and no firm installation date has been provided. Despite this, I was being asked to pay the $500 balance. Regarding the handles, I had to contact you on July 30 because I had received no update and assumed they had not arrived as expected. Only after my email was I told that the replacement handles had arrived that afternoon, and a return appointment was then offered. Given the repeated delays and lack of timely communication, I chose not to have your company return. My review reflects my experience with this particular project, and I stand by it.

We were disappointed with Greenrun Construction for so many reasons. The biggest one was that they…read moreheld themselves out to be "sustainable" builders on their website and suggested the same with their business name. In our experience, they did not have any more expertise in or attention to sustainability than any run-of-the-mill contractor. We had to do our own research to select sustainable roofing materials because Rodney didn't know anything about, or at least did not share with us, the pros and cons of various materials from a sustainability standpoint. We trusted that he would recommend doors with windows that had the highest level of energy efficiency. He did not, so we ended up with less energy efficient French doors that did not qualify for an energy efficiency tax credit. He never told us about the tax credit; we only discovered it when we were doing our taxes, long after the doors had been installed. The most costly of his mistakes was misunderstanding which doors we wanted replaced, in spite of our physically showing him exactly which doors. He ordered a new door for the wrong spot. They were custom doors, so could not be returned. His inattention to our directions cost us an additional $3400. He cut into our deck to access one area for the door replacements. He replaced the boards he cut but did not adequately secure them. Now we have multiple boards popping up several inches, making the deck unsafe to use. After removing the rubber baseboard to replace another door, he thought it was all right to replace it with a base board that ended several inches before the juncture with the door. When we followed up about this, he said he could fix it, but only with a different size baseboard than used in the rest of the room. After a long time and much follow up on our part, he managed to find the right size baseboard and have his worker install it. But the worker used the wrong kind of adhesive and the baseboard peeled off. We had to hire someone else to do it correctly. It appears that his worker may have damaged our flooring at the same time. In sum, look elsewhere if you are looking for a contractor with sustainability expertise. If you do hire him, you need to watch him like a hawk to minimize his errors and to ensure that he fixes his mistakes.
