Unbelievable. The own, Pat, lied to me four times saying he would get me a quote on glass, wasting a week of my time on a tight deadline, only to call me and say that he had to withdraw from the project because his truck was not large enough to carry the glass. First he said friday at 5pm, surprise he is likely closed by then, then he said he would call me back in 15 minutes. It is not very often I come to yelp for a bad review, but this is an exception I must make for the sake of anyone considering using Pat at Santa Rosa Glass. Unless you want your project to be late, or the contractor to tell you he gets bad vibes and is going to quit after being nearly 10 weeks behind, AFTER telling me the week prior that he thought I was the nicest and most patient customer he'd ever had. YES, I was kind and patient to Pat, a bumbling old fart who is way out of the times. He doesn't send a text or call you, rather he sends a Google invite for the following week for a 5-minute call where he will tell you some BS story about the glass being cut wrong, or that it is in but he won't be out for another week, etc., etc. He sent me more than 8 Google invites to tell me some BS story and send invites not knowing if I was available or not. He does this because he's missed another deadline. THREE times the glass was "NOT CUT CORRECTLY" was his excuse, when I know he screwed up the order. Then after being nearly 100 days BEHIND SCHEDULE, he installs the glass in an absolutely unprofessional manner, like a 12-year-old with no experience would do. He's showed up with a different "helper" every time because he can't find anyone to work for him. It's pathetic actually. He also then installs the glass NOT ACCORDING TO THE SPECIFICATIONS AGREED IN THE CONTRACT AND SAYS NOTHING ABOUT IT - NOTHING, with the wrong pieces of aluminum that are at least 200% bigger than they are supposed to be on the transom that was not supposed to be a separate piece of glass (and says nothing about it, he must think I'm such a nice guy or stupid I wouldn't say anything). His work is LOUSY and I'm considering not paying the bill (I've paid for the glass, I just haven't paid for his lousy unprofessional labor yet) hoping he'll sue me and I in turn would win because of the lousy work he did, his lies, not installing what was agreed too, etc., etc. Honestly, the shower door doesn't hang correctly, there is so much caulking all over the glass that it looks like a toddler was playing in the stuff. He left his work area filthy more than once of the FIVE TIMES he was at my house to do a simple shower enclosure. HONESTLY, HAD I KNOWN I WAS HIRING AN INCOMPETENT CONTRACTOR I WOULD HAVE RUN THE OPPOSITE WAY. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND TO RUN FROM THIS GUY AND NEVER LOOK BACK. In my experience, I believe Pat is WAY BEHIND the times and it clearly shows in his customer service and how he operates. I also believe he was untruthful with me multiple times, including installing the shower that was NOT as agreed to in the contract. I'm just thankful he's gone and I don't have to deal with him for another 90 days when I'll pay his bill, paying him in the same amount of days he was late on this simple project, and that will be by check so I don't have to talk to him. read more

To be honest . We thought the people are good honest people . the quality isn't there . In two orders that they did the messed up on the orders on the glass , six months have gone by and we're still waiting for the right blinds to go in on one of the sets the day order. On the average dealing with other contractors roofers , landscapers , tree fallers, and painters I like if they're going to be on site long enough more then a day , they Would consistently on time, provide toilet, a company service truck , and clean up the work area at the end of the day, not leaving any debri wood renements junk food garbage , broken glass rolled up in a Corner for small animals or children to in. seems that you have options with these people and seems like they will pick the fastest and easiest way . but at your expense with out consulting , if asked where's the flashing or why they didn't paint top trim the answer was it's not required . I was disappointed because I got an invoice before the work was done. the invoice was for over double the cost of the windows . We got the invoice and the work was not completed that's where the problem started then looking into the detail I saw where by going to cheap and fast way they use my old materials in the new construction aesthetically speaking as an owner I believe when you pay for the service it's all new finished work . Not cobbed together Reminence of old materials just to make it fit this project started in June and we're still going through it in December and it's still not finished correctly now we are in winter . Now three months later have gone past and to our surprise after coming home from a trip east the windows look dirty we took a hose to the window and the entire window frame construction was leaking through the inside on top the furniture computers printers and the carpet disgusting work I would not recommend these people for anything terrible absolutely terrible and their answer is to come back and do it over again it's not acceptable poor performance poor quality poor customer service terrible outfit to use go someplace else, They were referred by the glass Vender through Pella Windows the Pella windows work great no problem at all . they said they would save us the cost on the install they never provided a cost estimate from the Pella installers so what we got was some fly-by-night unlicensed unregulated rough home carpenters not finished quality not what I would pay $9000 for absolutely terrible the 9000 was in addition to the $9000 for the window inserts . Here is the evidence of some of the handiwork you could see a quarter inch gap that was filled in with silicone that shrinking that is allowing water to get through to the inside of the house one of 24 edges that were not fitted properly let alone the outside frame to the siding showing cracks in all the caulking that they put in plus the flashing does not go inside and behind and underneath the seal , I took a moment and measured all the gaps between the metal edge of the frame window to the wooden frame of the house that they put in it all adds up to be in 2 1/2 inches off total In the external read more

They set up appointments that they don't show up to. In my experience, I believe ownership is behind the times and clearly shows in their customer service. read more

Last week I made an appointment with Pat to repair a window. They never showed up. They never called to let me know what was happening. I called them to find out about the repair. He never returned my calls. Unfortunately, I needed this window repaired to close escrow on a house. Blowing off an appointment is worse than unprofessional, it really upset a lot of people who need this work done. Not a good way to treat people in a small town. read more

Santa Rosa Glass came to our rescue on a Saturday & Sunday. We had a huge redwood limb come through our 1940's metal framed window, on a Friday night. He was professional, pleasant to be around, and knowledgeable. We felt he was fairly priced. We will keep his phone number. read more

My experience is similar to others in that I made an appointment and no one showed up. They did not call, email or otherwise respond.

I recently had my front door window panes replaced with one large pane and Ron came in the morning and had the window replaced in about two hours. Did a great job keeping the area clean and noise minimal since I work from home. He was very professional and got the job done! read more

We had a scheduled meeting with Pat and he failed to show up. When we called him he did not have a reason as to why he didn't show up but wanted to schedule a meeting for later in the day. He was also supposed to email us a catalog for the products we are looking for, which he never did and he had no excuse as to why he didn't email us. We told him we were a little skeptical and concerned that this may be the way the business is operated. His response was, "alright, well thank you" and hung up the phone. I live on a golf course which means I have a great view along with the occasional broken window. Although there are many companies happy to replace windows it is harder to find competent experts to repair them. Pat and his staff did an excellent job for me. Pat made the glass to fill in a coffee/end table I'd found, whose glass was missing or broken. He was fantastic - came by my place to measure and ensure it would fit, then came by less than a week later to drop it off. He gave good advice, fast service, very reasonable price and home delivery into the bargain at no extra charge.
