**** PUMPKIN PATCH REVIEW **** I prefer to go to a farmers market (or even just a grocery store) to get my pumpkins but when you have a friend with a 9 year old that wants to go have some fun... you go to a place like this. Sure, it's going to be expensive just like a carnival or a fair. But the kids enjoy themselves, they wear themselves out and you end up going home with a pricy pumpkin or two and smiles on the kids faces. We opted to get the $25 wristband so she can enjoy all she wants (minus the train) for an hour. And she did!! We were there on a Friday night, fairly crowded too, and she never had to wait longer than a minute or two to get on slides and jumpers. There is a nice variety; slides, jumps, obstacle course. There is a train that goes around the pumpkins and this is an extra cost. I didn't look at the prices for that, but just know that it is separate and not included in the "one hour wrist band". Individual tickets are available if you think an hour is too long or if you want extra slides and jumps after your hour. One carnival game, which also was extra. As for the actual pumpkins themselves, there was a healthy selection in each size/price range. Pumpkins are laid out and not piled up so it looks like there are not many, but actually there are! We found a nice fat round one with a fun crook on the top. The employees are mostly teenagers that either try to have fun being there or just go through the motions. We did not run into any that were the least bit unfriendly or zombie-ish. In fact, one of the girls was getting the kids so pumped up for the slide that it was fun to watch! Just visited this place with my wife and 1 year old daughter. This is one of the smallest pumpkin patches I've ever seen. Not many at all. They have jumpers surrounding the place for older kids which I guess would be cool and fun for them. They did have a train that my wife took my daughter on. It had trouble starting and the driver was not friendly at all. It was 5 tickets which was $5 so my wife got on with my daughter and then another couple came and the husband took his son around the same age as my daughter. The train was started and the guy looked at the couple and said, " oh you want to get on?" The woman said yes and she said 5 tickets right and he stood there staring at her motionless and then after a minute he said yeah I guess 5 is good. What!? My wife just got in with my daughter around same age as her husband and their child so now they make up how many tickets to ride?! A lady then came with her daughter right after and he got an attitude again and took her daughter only around once when my wife and the others got to go around twice. That's pretty messed up. The man at the front wasn't so friendly at the beginning (office/ticket booth), but after returning to purchase a small pumpkin for my daughter he was actually nice. I probably wouldn't return, but it's not horrible. I'm sure there's much better patches and with more pumpkins. I'm actually surprised they call it a pumpkin patch. I only come here for the pumpkin patch and have never been for the Christmas trees. So this review is strictly on the pumpkin patch. Even as an adult I get excited to come to a pumpkin patch to look at some pumpkins. Mainly excited to take my kids though. I have been coming here for years and always make the time during October to take my girls. I know there are tons of other pumpkin patches that have way more pumpkins and things to do, but I guess it's just the tradition reason I keep coming back. In reality it's just an okay pumpkin patch. They have a lot of really big slides and jumpers for the kids. My girls are small so some are too big for them. They have a petting zoo which is 4 tickets a person. The animals sure we're starving! They also have a little train ride that goes around twice which is 4 tickets each. Most slides are 4 tickets each as well. It is a $1 per ticket. It's okay pricing but can eat a lot of your money if you have multiple kids. I would never buy a pumpkin here. I like to look at them but they are at least $20 for a medium pumpkin. I know I can go to Trader Joes and get one for under $5. We just go for the experience. They have a lot of parking around that leads to dirt and then all along Del Taco and Carl's Jr. It's not that big. Once my girls get bigger I'm sure we will head to a bigger pumpkin patch with more to do. But for now we do enjoy coming here. read more

I was a customer at the sister lot owned by the same person. While being helped by an employee, I could tell the employee was visibly frustrated. I asked what was wrong and employee expressed that the owner was being extremely condescending and rude to the employees. I ended up buying a tree to tip the employee, but save your time; please take your business else and support owners who manage fairly. read more

Okay, it's expensive; we can all agree on that. It's also beautiful, free to get in, clean, plenty of restrooms, and very photo friendly for the little ones. I was very impressed with this parch. Our little man was completely content just walking around, looking at all the pumpkins, people watching, and looking at the train drive by every couple of minutes. We didn't spend a dime here, and had a great time, so all the slams about money aren't necessary. Buy a pumpkin at Vons, don't come hungry, and you'll be fine. The crown is much better than the patch on the other side of Whittier, more family oriented and little ones running around. The other patch was a lot of adults; barely any kids that I saw. I will be back again, the lighting at night is great for photos if you have children. It's safe, easily to park, and fun. You can't lose. read more

The first thing I said as we parked into the parking lot was "Where are the pumpkins?" I saw so many of my friends go to huge, nice, aesthetically pleasing pumpkin patches and take pictures so I wanted to go to a pumpkin patch, but nothing out of my way. I ended up here because I was driving in fullerton and saw huge signs that claimed that there was a "GIANT PUMPKIN PATCH"... well that was INCREDIBLY MISLEADING. When we arrived it was only the size of a small parking lot. It had a bunch of giant bouncy-houses and a very tiny train that circled this "giant *cough cough* pumpkin patch in a figure 8. I don't even have kids and I would never want to bring my children here. I mean this patch might be giant to an ant... but definitely not worth your time to drive all the way here. I bought 2 medium-large size pumpkins for $24/per pumpkin.... (Then I went to Walmart to buy some pumpkin carving materials and saw the same if not bigger pumpkins for only $8/per pumpkin) The picture I took here holding the pumpkin looks "alright" only because of the angle I shot it in but that was pretty much HALF the pumpkin patch of pumpkins and the other HALF on the other side and thats about IT. I also think they could add a walkway to the slides for children as the wood chips hurt there feet and they dont like taking there shoes on and off. Came this weekend during the evening. There's no admission fee but there are "no free photoshoots" in their tiny pumpkin patch. I can see why kids would like this place but not so much to do for adults. There was what it looked like a donut stand but it was closed. They sell bottled water and bottled soda. For 1 hour unlimited wristband to get on everything but the train, it's $30 each. Pretty expensive. I dropped an easy $61.50 here for two wristbands, plus the $1.50 card transaction fee. It's all jumpers. There's giant jumper slides, a maze inside a jumper, etc. Make sure your kids take a bath when they get home because it's a bunch of kids climbing in jumpers... Photo aesthetics wise you can get some cute pictures here. But I would not recommend nor come back to this place. There are way better, bigger pumpkin patches for a better $ value. The pumpkin patch here just had some random pumpkins on the floor, not much of a pumpkin patch. read more

Our second year visiting the pumpkin patch and they changed a few things. They added a few more photo spots! We arrived just minutes before closing time. The worked snapped a few family photos for us and we purchased a nice sized pumpkin for $15. They have so many inflatable slides for a few bucks each. Or you could buy unlimited wristband for $25. The reason to go here is to make Halloween something more than just big bags of candy for your kids. I have been taking my grandson here for years and he is now 10 years old and he looks forward to Halloween every year because of Santa's Garden Halloween patch. He wears himself out climbing the slides and running through the obstacle courses. Yes, there is one like the Titanic, but that is just because it is about the largest jumper ever made. They also alternate different years with other entertainment like face-painting, a petting zoo, magic tricks, balloon animals, photo booth and last year they had one of those sling-shot jumpers that was very popular. The owners are great! They remember my grandson every year and their hospitality is just one more reason for going. Yes, you will pay more for the pumpkins here (though they are the best shaped ones I have seen) but with all the joy this place brings my grandson, I do not begrudge them a little extra profit. I highly recommend getting the wristband that allows for a hour's worth of jumper time. Go there with your kids and support one of the few places that offer more for your children than a bunch of candy to make them fat and hyper. There were a lot of activities for children, if you wanted to spend $3-4 dollars per bounce house/slide. The best pet was the petting zoo. All the goats were nice. The alpacas didn't seem to into it though. Pumpkins are 3-4x the price you'll find at the market. The worst part was the ticket employee. He was an older man, and he was extremely rude. We were trying to find a pumpkin patch to take the kids, and I stumbled upon this review. Yay!!! I loved it. It has about 6 jumper/slides? 3 bouncy houses for smaller kids, petting zoo(well kept), a train and a small area with pumpkins with two small photo op areas. My kids loved it!!! The price range I think was what I've paid at other places like this. Staff was very nice and professional which for me put it over the top for me. First time buying a Christmas tree from here because we wanted a flocked tree and we fell in love with our tree the people on the other hand made it an awkward experience we like to walk around and take our time taking pictures of our babies and let them enjoy the tradition finally picked our tree and the employees kind of just stared blankly at us it was again very awkward they wrapped the tree up for us brought it home got the spot for it ready my husband brought it in and I had him turning and moving it all different ways to find the "perfect" position all of a sudden we started seeing tiny bugs on the floor and they started jumping what the heck I know real trees have living bugs but never have experienced anything like this with a real tree what a waste should've just stuck to Home Depot now I think I'll buy an artificial one there goes that tradition what a bummer read more

I wish there was no star option. I visited their pumpkin patch area meant for children. But what I found was all kinds of dirt on the toys, Unhygienic bathrooms, rude and extra smart staff.... Before going for any ride these people will never inform you about the turns and timings.... As soon as they see that child has started enjoying they will say it's over....and without knowing your consent or permission they will throw thud child out from the ride...... And doing so if your child falls off or if your child is hurt... They will simply ignore !!!! And more interestingly, the scheduled time was 6pm pst for closing the play area. But stuffs were being inflated from 4pm pst onwards. When I approached the cashier for refund of tickets he simply said NO And how can I forget the price of rides??? Whooppy.... This morning, my small family and I met a friend at the pumpkin patch who was going to take our pictures. We were the first ones there, and spent probably 20-30 minutes taking pictures. During this time, the staff didn't speak much to us, but when they did, they were very polite. We finished our pictures, and headed back to the parking lot, intending to say good-bye to our friend, and come back into the patch to let our daughter play. As we exited the pumpkin patch, an employee came up to us saying that they usually charge for photo shoots, and that since we did not pay for a photo shoot, we should at least buy something. I totally agree with him on this, and told him that we planned to come back in. He wouldn't drop the subject! He went on & on & on about how we could at least spend a couple dollars since we'd taken pictures there. As a local small business owner, I felt that the was he approached us was very inappropriate. It is certainly polite to make a purchase when using someone's property (after all, I always buy a coffee if I meet someone at Starbucks!), but it is not an absolute requirement. We were not informed about there being any fee for photo shoots, and, although my friend and I are both photographers, we were just taking unpaid, informal pictures of my family. Had the employee approached us suggesting that we make a purchase, and simply said "ok, see you in a minute" when I told him we would return, my thoughts would be different. In the end, rather than go back into the pumpkin patch where we had been spoken rudely to, we simply went home! read more

We first came to Santa's garden last year with our Softball team for a night of fun. The girls LOVED it so of course we had to bring our new team back here this year and.... they LOVED it. It's pretty hard to make 11 yr olds happy these days, but this did it. We found the prices to be actually less than other pumpkin patches (one in Brea was charging 5-6 tickets per ride at $1 a ticket). Santa's Garden inflatables are 3-4 tickets. The pumpkins are top notch! Friends went to Cal Poly last year and said so many were rotten they didn't even get one. Not here. There were no rotten ones, plenty of choices for sizes and even had white ones! hard to find those these days. To each his own, we had a great time (actually brought our kids back Sunday for another round of fun) and we will definitely be back next year. read more
