This is the 2nd year in a row that my son and I have come here for a Christmas tree. So many trees to choose from. Little ones and big ones. I can't tell the difference between trees except the price and feel of the needles/"fur" but I do know that Michael has helped us last year and he helped us again this year! What are the odds! I knew he looked familiar as he was the first guy there to ask us if we needed help. Make sure you tip them for helping you with the trees! Also, the Santa was really friendly and the setup was so cool! Thanks, Santa! I think he's the only one who asked my son what he wanted for Christmas! The other one at the tree lighting ceremony didn't ask but I guess it was because there was a long line. Anyway, we ended up getting 2 wooden reindeers and a cute little kid's Christmas tree for my son to decorate by himself and then I'm getting a fake tree so we can reuse it for the future and because I'm on a budget. Purchased my Christmas tree on December 1st from their lot, already pre-flocked for $340. On first glance the tree looked amazing and so we purchased same day! However when asking for delivery options they quoted us 80+$ for delivery even though we were only less than a mile away! Our second revelation (the most important in my honest opinion) is that the flocking was not very well done....upon transport to our condo much of it was falling off...and continues to do so! It is apparent that the flocking is not very adherent to the tree, simply placing the ornaments and the lights onto the tree caused more flocking to be displaced! I give it 5 stars for the tree options, appearances, but 2 stars for the flocking quality, and zero stars for not working with us to help/negotiate with us wrt transpiration just less than a mile away... Will reconsider purchasing from them again in the future. read more

Came here to get our Christmas tree, but wish I didn't! After finding a really nice tree and going to the register to pay, they set my tree next to the exact if not nicer looking tree. Our's was priced at $243 and there's was priced at $183?? They were identical, so I decided to ask the owner Claudia if I could get a discount. She then grabbed a ruler and measure both trees, called over the lady that prices the trees, and right in front of me and my family asked the employee if she was blind stating she wrongly measured and priced the other persons tree. I'd give this place zero stars if I could. Worst service ever at a tree place. Grumpy looking employees standing around talking to each other. No one asked if I needed any help. There was even a gentleman literally a few feet from me trimming trees and made no eye contact. Maybe because I bought a small tree ($54) is why I was basically ignored? When I was buying the tree, 3 women were behind the counter talking away. Absolutely zero customer service. I wasn't even thanked for my purchase but you bet the gal highlighted the No returns/refund section on my receipt. It wasn't busy when I was there, so really no reason for this service. How unfortunate. I usually come to this location when it's Pa's Pumpkin Patch. Not anymore. Go elsewhere to buy your Christmas, not at this grinch-like place. read more

I stopped by this place on my way home from work just to check out their selection and prices. A very nice, young man helped me out, SEAN. He was very knowledgeable and kind enough to walk me around the lot to help find the right tree. He was very patient and extremely helpful. He took care of everything for me ... shook out any loose needles, got the stump a fresh cut, had the tree stand attached so my tree would stand up straight, netted and bagged it for me too. And he expertly tied it on the roof of my car. It was easy to drive home with it. DEFINITELY ASK FOR SEAN!! He made my experience fun and easy. But DON'T FORGET TO TIP, as the salesmen only get paid on tips. The trees are pricey, but I know you're paying for the whole experience. They provide free popcorn and hot chocolate. And you can take free pictures with Santa. I had my little chihuahua with me, and it turns out that Santa (and Sean, actually) is a huge dog lover! :) So I got to take some pictures of her with Santa. It was so cute! Santa (aka Norm, when he's off duty ) was so gentle with her and made it a very fun experience. DON'T FORGET TO TIP SANTA too, as he also works for tips only. It was clear to see he really enjoyed playing Santa, though. He was great with all the kids there. He's exactly what you'd want your Santa experience to be. Santa (Norm) is there Wed & Thu 4pm-9pm, and Fri-Su 10am-9pm. There's another Santa there Mon & Tues too, but I hadn't met him. Although the trees are pricey, my tree is gorgeous. Quick and Efficient service! My girlfriend and I went here to get our first real Christmas tree ever. I really thought it will be a hassle buying a Christmas tree this late because most people buy it during or after ThanksGiving week, but we're glad we picked this place to go. The ambiance is a little crowded because of course there are a lot of families trying to introduced their kids to the holiday spirit. It is a little bit muddy, too because they are trying to preserve the trees by sprinkling water on it...so I suggest wearing a solid shoes with a grip. Fortunately, a guy named Adam helped us pick our Christmas tree right around our budget. He is knowledgeable and polite as well. He didn't judge as for picking one of a decent non expensive tree around.. so I really recommend to get this guy to help you. He explained us bunch of stuff to preserve our tree for the holidays. Even the different types of Christmas tree. The trees ranges as low as $50 to approximately $200. They have different kinds of trees from the popular Nobles to Douglas trees. They have bunch of helpers standing in front when you first enter, so help should not be a problem. Overall, we're happy with our tree choice.. The Christmas trees here are beautiful, but they are very expensive. We ended up getting ours from Home Depot for a fraction of the price. The workers are extremely attentive. We had one guy follow us for over thirty minutes even though we told him that we were just looking and would find him if we needed something. On the one hand, it was good if we needed something, but on the other hand, it was stalkerish and kind of unnerving to have this person follow you everywhere you go. It was worse than being at a car dealership. If I had more money and didn't mind the shadow, I would have for sure bought a tree from this place. read more

I'm writing this review based on a phone call which quickly let me know, I didn't need to make the trip. Me: "Hi Sherry, can you tell me what your 6 foot Douglas Firs start at for pricing?" Sherry: "we don't quote pricing over the phone." "We do have several Douglas Firs but I just can't tell you because, well, we just don't do pricing over the phone." What? This doesn't even make sense. So you can't give me an idea of what your prices start at? So do you pick and chose who you're going to charge what? ‍ Because literally every other Christmas Tree Ground that I've called has given me an idea of what their trees start at and even quoted flocking per foot. Tonight i went to snowy pines with my family to buy a christmas tree for christmas. We buy our tree from here every year but this year Claudia was EXTREMELY RUDE. We were buying the last grand fir and she was very rude when we asked about a discount on the tree that was already dying and had several gaps. She then proceeded to cut my mom off when my mom was asking her questions and kept repeating the same sentence to my mom not helping the situation at all. She then proceeded to talk about my mother to the other workers. when my mom came to buy the DYING TREE claudia began to charge us the normal ridiculous normal price after she said, and repeated several times, she would only give us $30 off. When claudia said the price my mom asked what because she charged us without the discount, claudia put her hand up rudely and started to put the discount in until her coworkers who were all rude as well started staring at us and shaking their heads and she said no we are not selling you this tree anymore (all the coworkers at this time of 6:40pm Tuesday December 17th). she turned around and ripped the ticket ruining my tradition of getting a grand fir every year for my christmas tree. ON THE OTHER HAND, Trennise was extremely nice and happy and helped us. He obviously is a very hard worker and should get a raise for his amazing service. Do not buy your tree here if you believe in customer service and kindness. My neighbor purchased a tree here for 20 years. She stopped by to ask for help with a tree because the stand broke. They told her to come by in the morning and they would be happy to help attach a tree stand. She offered to pay whatever was needed and then some. She and I lugged the tree there in the rain. Its closed due to rain. No signs, no mention of rain closure on website or in phone recording. No one answers phone at either number provided. Locate a young man behind locked fence, he says they close when it rains. They may be open later, if not raining. 24 hrs later, no calls have been returned from messages stating we are waiting there. Day 2- bring tree there and are aggressively confronted by a woman with dark hair. Sweet neighbor explains one of her workers said to bring tree and the situation, asks to buy a stand. Woman yells at neighbor and me and says no way. Neighbor is soft spoken and nice and says shes been a customer for 20 years. Mean lady cares not..runs us out of there. Went directly to nearby SeaLegs lot at PCH/Warner. Explained situation to nice, friendly people that are more than happy to help. We are not buying a tree there, but they dont mind. Helpers offer to carry tree to/from car. When we insist on paying for stand they nail on, they say its $5. Neighbor hands them $20. They refuse. Neighbor pays for stand and tips (2) workers $10. Neighbor tips another $20 when they carry tree to car. It costs nothing to be kind but its appreciated. Sea Legs lot has 2 new customers for life. Their lot is clean (no muddy shoes and cars like here). Its at the beach, plenty of parking (free) with rides and games for kids and beautiful photo opportunities. Head to SeaLegs Christmas Tree lot at PCH/Warner for a great tree buying experience! It would have cost Snowy Pines nothing to be kind. But, that's not their way. read more

I'm not surprised they have 3 stars. I've been going there for the past 5 years. Christmas trees for Christmas and pumpkins for thanksgiving. Always underwhelming service but I get it - busy holidays. I went today on the way to my son's swim class. No help whatsoever. I dragged the tree myself to checkout and waited for 5 min for someone to put it on a stand. Not a lot of customers. The guy came in. I asked him to put it on the stand and told him I'll come back after dropping off my son. Came back and absolutely nothing happened. The tree was standing when I left it. I found the guy and ask him why. He said that I have to pay first. So I asked why he didn't tell me that before I left. At this point there were people in line for putting trees on the stand. Long story short the person behind the counter (manager I suppose) told me I can go somewhere else if I don't like it. So I did. And I'll never come back again. Zero stars. I spent thousands of dollars there and they just treated me like dirt. Merry Christmas When God closes a door, he opens a window. Went to a different place today, got a beautiful tree (bigger and nicer than what I picked at this god forsaken place), paid the same they wanted, guy picked it up, put it on a stand, put it in my Raptor and 10 minutes since I arrived I was on my way home. read more

Growing up I had a fake Christmas tree. My parents were incredibly frugal and didn't care about the smell, the experience, or the ritual of going tree shopping. So I never "got it" when my friends would talk about heading out, chopping a tree, and mounting it on their Subaru station wagons (or whatever trendy suburban families drove in the 90s). Then I moved out and I thought to myself "you deserve to experience this, at least once in your life. And hey, you had a pretty good tax return this year so why not." Totally lame. I am done coming to this lot. I had a good experience 4 years ago and since then they are terrible. Overpriced, terrible customer service, and I did not like many of their trees. The one tree I did like was half to 1 foot taller than I needed but was nice and full like I wanted. They would not budge at all on their ticket price, not even the owner. They didn't even know that I had a $20.00 off coupon already in my pocket. They could have came down $20 easily without it. We left with muddy boots and disappointment. Just purchased our 9 1/2 foot tree today and had to pay $69 to have it delivered because it is over 8 feet tall, even though we live close to the lot. This year the tree wasn't only overpriced, they gouged us on the $69 delivery, an XL stand for $35 and even charged $6 for the netting which we have never been charged for in all the years we have purchased our tree here. So the guys show up to deliver the tree, walk it up three stairs, set it in my living room and leave. They don't even take the netting off or turn it for us to make sure it's placed nicely. My husband had to move the tree away from the window whe lower the tree completely horizontal twice to remove the netting completely. In addition, they never shook the tree out at the lot, so the tree was filled with old needles and sawdust from the ground! They always used to shake the tree before they netted it. I have two giant piles of needles and sawdust in my living room! In addition, they didn't trim any branches before they put the stand on. If you are looking for good service and delivery, go somewhere else. I am so disappointed. read more

Disappointed in the customer service and staff this year . I Went to get my tree with our family today just for it to be ruined by some dispute with their employees. They had their manager hit/push an employee and they trapped him in and called the cops. I don't know the whole story what had happened. just So unprofessional and discussed by the way they presented their family business. (We go every year here to get our tree ) Our salesman was so distracted/new he didn't even know how to help us with a tree I don't know why he wasn't very knowledgeable about what he is doing since it's his job . We've been buying st Snowy Pines for a couple of years... the trees are way overpriced, and they don't stay fresh for too long... however, my young daughter loved talking to Santa and going on the slide or riding the train... so I figured we are paying for the experience, too. However, this year, the trees are still overpriced, and even talking to Santa isn't free anymore. For each bought tree, you get 1 ticket, which can be used either for talking to Santa, or a train ride, or going on their crappy little carousel. It's kinda heartbreaking when you have a little kid run towards Santa only to be told be the elf that you need to get a ticket first. Plus: there are tacky signs everywhere informing you that the sales people work only on tips. So somehow their overly high prices don't even cover living wages. My kid was ready to organize a boycott once she found out about that. And then they have the audacity to plaster the whole place with quotes from the Bible. LOL. Todds, here we come! read more

If I could give the place a no star I would. Our sales man was amazing but the owner Claudia on the other hand was really rude to my husband and not friendly to my daughter or I. She was giving discounts to everyone else but us. After we found the same tree as ours at the same height as the buyer ahead of us we notice it was 75 dollars cheeper so we asked why ours was so much more? So this year my husband and I were finally able to get a full size tree, since we no longer live in a studio. Upon reading the reviews here, I was hesitant to go here again. However, the customer service was AMAZING. Joseph went into the tent and dig around in layers of trees for the perfect tree for us. Danny handled everything for us after that and did a great job. I have only one Christmas tradition and it is to have a real tree every year. I love the way they smell and I love decorating the tree with wacky ornaments and lights. So, on our way home one night Sir Nicholas and I decided to pull into this tree lot and see what they had to offer. Immediately I saw their sign that the trees were from a local Oregon tree farm and that for every tree they sell they plant 2. I'm definitely down with that. It's always a concern for me when buying a real tree that the people are planting replacements. The next thing I realized is that they are really friendly. We had a sort of personal tree shopper. A guy who asked us what we wanted and showed us several trees that fit our needs. However, if you wanted to explore on your own that was easy too as all the trees were arranged by type and height. The tree was averagely priced based on my past years of purchasing and they shake it down and cut the stump for you so when you get it home the tree is all ready for your stand. Came to this place when it was the Halloween setup and I got a card with $5 off a Christmas tree and was told to take it and come back. Well I wanted to get a small tree, and I knew maybe there was a minimum to get the $5 off. Well I looked over the card and saw none. Then when I was about to get my tree, low and behold, there was some writing on a forest green background, and the writing was in bright green. This seemed to need a black light to see, but it was unfair. I drove out there because of false advertising, the bright green warning of the minimum would have been ok if a few people I showed it to actually saw it, but when reasonable people can't find it, it's straight illegal. Of course this is a fly by night company, but with their attitude towards the hard to read statement (i.e. they did nothing for me being driving all the way out there ONLY because of their $5 off), I think it's despicable. They could have offered a few dollars off, but they decided to just put their foot down and argue with me that it was not hard to see. I challenge anyone to look at their advertisement and show me another advertisement that is as difficult to read. I'm not talking about small print at the bottom, I'm talking about coloring it so that it is camouflaged into the card, so that at a VERY CLOSE distance it is still unreadable. I don't like giving one star, but I just view this company as dishonest, I have never seen such outright false advertising ever before. read more

We chose a tree with no price tag and called an employee over and he called the main guy who give price tickets to the trees and he charged us 240$ for a flocked 7 1/2 noble tree.
