I love this place. This is the Original Santas Tree Farm. I have been coming to them for 18 years. I follow them wherever they go. I love the service David, Luis and Gloria provide every year. We missed Gloria this year but the smiles from the regulars is the main reason we keep coming. The owner is amazing and the trees are what Christmas is supposed to be. Great place to buy a Christmas tree when in season! Searched the nearest Christmas tree lot in my area and this gem popped up. The lot is small located off old cutler in Pinecrest. I was expecting some ridiculous prices trees but they weren't that bad. Don't expect to find discounted trees. This isn't the place for you. Trees are average $100. However you pay for what you get. The trees are absolutely beautiful. Worth the money. The tree we bought was a 9ft tree. No holes and lush. It was perfect for our house. We did have to look for one and my husband does have experience with Christmas trees. He searched until he found the perfect one. There are taller trees but with height the price goes up. They did have a lot of variety trees as well. The man helped us with wrapping it up and putting it in the car. This lot does offer delivery of the tree as well as pick up after Christmas for disposal. Very convenient. Will come here again next year. read more

This is my second year buying a tree from Colby at Santa's Tree Farm in Palmetto Bay. I used to have a Wisconsin friend deliver me a fresh cut tree from his farm. Now I find the same beautiful trees right here! The Frazier firs are outstanding in size and fullness. I bought one for my home and another for my office! And the guys helping us out were knowledgeable about their stock, honest in their information and super great about preparing my trees for transport and putting them on my car roof for me. The entire adventure from the entrance line to the drive away at the end was seamless. By far the best experience I've had buying a Christmas tree. Justin was very attentive and didn't hesitate to answer my questions or be patient with my perfect tree demand. He was so kind and ready to help. I saw this tree that was still closed in the back and something about it felt right. Although he still had not cut the string open for me to see I had a good feeling about it. It turned out to be full and the perfect height. For whatever reason I thought it was going to be pricey but I'm really thinking that they did not realize how awesome this tree was if not they would have priced it higher. I did see other tree and they were a bit pricey but I paid $110 for mine. Definitely will be going back next year. read more

For years, multiple friends have raved about how great Santa's Tree Farm is. In fact for many years, the location was at my son's preschool. Did I go? Nope. It took years and a mild panic attack to get me here. Who knew there was a Christmas Tree shortage? Not this person who usually meticulously purchases trees the weekend of Thanksgiving from those "big box stores". We ended up at Santa's Tree Farm on a Saturday morning after trying several of those big box stores with no success. Yes, they are a few dollars more than those national chains, but now I see what the hype is all about. We were greeted by one of the employees who was super friendly and was very knowledgeable about trees. He stated he'd been doing this for 12 years and provided tree tips I've never heard of before, which put me more at ease. I told him I just wanted a "nice looking 6-7 foot tree". Between the minute it took me to gather my kids from the next aisle and meet him, he had picked out a tree just by feeling it. When he untied it, it was absolutely the most perfect and full tree I've seen. By the time I paid, he had cut the trunk, removed several of the bottom straggler branches, wrapped it, and was carrying it to our car. We were in and out in less than 10 minutes. Does it get any easier than this? The tree is absolutely gorgeous. While it's taken me a decade or so to try Santa's Tree Farm, I can tell you I will be returning each year to purchase my trees from them, even if it costs a several dollars more. Why? Because you're getting a phenomenal looking tree with personalized, friendly and expert service. read more

Great selection and presentation; and once you've made your purchase the kiddos are invited to make mini trees with the extra trimmings to take home. This year I decided to get a real Christmas tree. I don't have enough room so I was looking for a small table top tree. I stopped here after a few other places who didn't have what I was looking for or their trees just didn't look right. They had a nice selection of good looking trees in all sizes. The workers were helpful and even gave me a few little facts about the tree (how long it took to grow and where it came from). My tree was $35.00 and included the stand, which I thought was reasonable. In the past I've ended up with some trees that barely lasted until Christmas (although I followed all directions) which is why I took a break from real ones. However, the tree I selected I've had since the day after Thanksgiving and it still looks healthy and very very minimal shedding. I don't want to get rid of it :) If I decide to go this route again next year, I'll visit this location again. They have a great selection, good service, reasonable prices and seem to have been doing this for many years. read more

This place is this place is truly a gem. Beautiful trees, fair prices, and the people working here are all very friendly and helpful. They do an extremely cute photo spot to take a family pic while you are there, too. It's different every year! When we got home, I felt like the tree looked so different than it had there that I thought it must have been accidentally switched (my husband swears it was just because of the trimming of the bottom branches). I called, fully expecting them to say, sorry, all sales are final. Instead, the friendly guy who answered said, no problem at all. Bring it back and get one you love. Fat bottom trees, you make my rocking world go round! (If you don't recognize the lyric twist there, you are uncool.) Santa's Tree Farm moved this year. They used to be in front of CRUM (Cutler Ridge United Methodist) and are now in front of St. Thomas by the Sea (across from Palmetto Bay Library). They have consistently awesome full trees. Really, I guess it's that they have consistently good boys that work for tips, so TIP THEM WELL! I've seen them look at a stack of still wrapped trees, eyeball the stack, move some aside, and declare "There is your one." They bring it out, cut the string and bang it open and yes, that is my tree. 7 ft tall, full and fat bottomed. Just how I like it. They do offer those crazy services for you socially awkward people who like fake snow on their trees and shit like that. I don't know why you want it, or why they would do that to a perfectly good tree, but I guess that's why ice cream comes in different flavors. They are a tad expensive. But I think I'm paying for peace of mind. I have bought my tree from them since we bought the house in 02. Consistently good trees. This year, with the more space at the new location, they also have hay stacks in the corner done up nice to take Christmas pictures. read more

I read the reviews for this place and we were so excited to go! At first glance, this seems like a great place to get a tree by Miami standards (I am from up north where we get trees directly from tree farms!) Christmas carols were playing, festive scenery decorated the lot, the employees were friendly and the trees were reasonably priced. However, the gentleman that was helping us seemed reluctant to open the netted trees for us, as he said management prefers customers choose a tree that is already set up. However, at the time we were there, the selection of trees that were already out wasn't great; many weren't full, a few didn't have a nice branch for a star, etc (this was pointed out by the employee), and many seemed dry already. To be honest, I was ready to go without making a purchase, especially since opening other trees was problematic, but we ended up settling for a very small tree that wasn't what we wanted. The gentleman told us that it definitely wouldn't dry out until after Christmas as long as we initially filled the stand with hot water and of course, made sure it never dried out. We purchased the tree on December 1st and today is Christmas. For the last several days, we have watched as the tree has drooped, ornaments have fallen on the floor, and it is shedding needles like crazy (we checked the water level daily and added more as needed). We normally have the tree lights on when we are home, but because it's so dry already, we have been leaving it off. Sadly, we will have to take it down tomorrow as it is a fire hazard, which is disappointing for us and our children (I do realize there are worse things in the world, but we love Christmas). read more
