Ocean Honda said the my transmission was get hot and the fluid was "boiling over" and needed a new…read moretransmission for $7,000+. I called Brown's Transmission and the owner talked me off the ledge and encouraged me to bring the car in for evaluation. Drove the car from Honda to Brown's and was immediately greeted by Ralph. I explained the issue to Ralph and he put the car in the lift. Took Ralph maybe three minutes to take off the plastic shield that covers the transmission and a portion of the engine compartment. Ralph brought the shield to me and showed me that there was not leakage under the transmission in the usual areas (front and aft seals I believe) which was absolutely clean but quite a bit of fluid on the drivers side of the shield. Ralph pointed his flashlight in the area of the leakage and with a couple minutes found that I had a loose transmission sensor that allowed fluid to leak. Ralph tightened the sensor and cleaned up the area as beautiful he could do that we could confirm no more leakage. I was only asked to pay $40 for the Honda fluid which was flushed. Wow! Additionally, Ralph left the plastic shield off and asked me to bring the car back in a week or two so that he can confirm the leak was fixed and would reinstall the shield. This shop provided incredible service and I have now sworn off Ocean Honda will now be coming to Brown's Transmission from now on. Incredible owner and Ralph went above and beyond to help me. I worked with Carlos throughout this whole process and I'm glad I did because he knows his stuff and the details when it comes to suspension systems. His customer service work ethics are 10/10. I needed a rebuild of Icon 2.5 coilovers and some new all terrain tires. After the rebuild, the shock itself started leaking and Carlos told me to bring it back asap so they can fix it at no charge and make it right. At that time I decided I needed some new tires and they set me up with the new Falken AT4s. After the installation of new tires, alignment, and rebuilt shocks, i started having tire rubbing issues from the increased tire size. Carlos offered a re-alignment to increase the caster even more from what it was originally set at to try and minimize the rubbing at no charge. The alignment was done and the rubbing came back when driving on certain roads so Carlos said to come back again. At this time, he offered to realign again at no charge, but also recommended a cab mount chop to alleviate the problem for my suspension system and tire size specifications. I decided to take his recommendation and went with the chop. I'm glad I decided to go with the chop because it made the most sense and they did a great job with the welds and paint job. I appreciate Go Big's work and shout out to Carlos for his dedication to making the job done right and offering solutions when things don't always go as planned. The solutions Carlos offered were cost efficient but also the right solutions for my driving style and set up. 10/10 customer service and 100% I'm a returning customer. Thanks Go Big!

I work on my Jeep but I don't have time to work on it as much as I use to, this was 4 years ago. I had them changed my ball joint and lift my Jeep from 2.5 to 3.5. I was told that they work on a lot of jeeps. I started to question them in my head when they've never heard of Rock Krawlers and Synergy. in off road world, those are well known off road brands. I brushed it off thinking knowing the brand isn't important. When I got my jeep back, I noticed that my tie rod shock bolts were mounted incorrectly. I fixed, didn't give a bad review. The other thing is that, when changing suspension, mechanics usually put a mark when it's torqued. They didn't do that. I checked the torque and I marked it myself when I got home. Fast forward to now, my mechanic (different mechanic) was changing my brakes. Had it on the lift and my tires were wobbling. Ball joint is bad. I knew something didn't look right when I was inspecting it beck then but I haven't changed before so I couldn't say. My mechanic tells me it was installed backwards and it wasn't locked in. Again, I don't like giving bad reviews, these are just my experience and possibly just bad luck on my end but in Jeep that you off road, suspension is key and it has to be done right. Off Road Werkz isn't for me but it might for someone else. I have nothing against them. I've found my local mechanic that I trust, he takes photos and sends them to me as he works on it.

Chris's solution was this to put a new motor a crate Jasper motor in and I would be credited the out of pocket monies I had to pay for a job that could never have been fixed now let me remind everyone I've owned vehicles between these years 63 dodge dart station wagon, 64 mercury comet, 66 el camino, 69 chevelle malibu, 72 chevelle Ss.. my 2004 Suburban is a whole new machine it's hydrologic, the lifters pushrods can not be adjusted or removed and replaced I'll bet you 10-1 Chris he knew this before his pie hole started sucking in the air around me. So the deal was more satisfying than standing there listening to the ticking lifter bet your a_ _ !!! Not so fast I'm gonna run the rest of this down to you as quickly as I can I paid for the motor thinking I'd get credited in the end NOPE, I had a interstate new battery installed just days before my appointment to take the suburban in for the new motor December 6th 10am 4-7 days tops I got my Suburban back over 30 days later the new interstate battery was replaced with a AAA battery dated 12/21 I got my Suburban back 01/22 they gave me a out dated battery, I never got the warranty I had to call Jasper they were beyond words and sent out the warranty & paperwork the shop should have taken care of this for me So the warranty has time limit to fill out and return for proper credit & documentation I got non of this !!! Trust and believe after 3 AAA BATTERIES SINCE JANUARY 2022 it's now October 2022 my truck has a mind of its own I spent almost $12,000 on a $4,000 motor installation that's a $8,000 difference the difference is $3,000 repair I never should have been charged in the first place and I never was credited as I was told the time it took a month to do this job Everyone working knew I have to get motel room while my car is in the shop it cost me +$3,000 just for the motel room that doesn't cover the cost of eating out or anything else theirs half of the $12,000 I was charged the 3 times I took the suburban back once after driving 1.5 miles because it was not safe to drive, theirs damage done they do not take responsibility for I had to take to a second shop where I was charged $5,000 about the same as the motor instillation to fix what was done ! Outside of this I now have a new nightmare w/my Suburban it's electrical all due to the poor service I got ! I had to call AAA for my battery the 3rd or 4th time since getting my Suburban back in January 2022 I was shocked when Bob Holzer tow truck showed up they are Sister companies with Bob Carlsons they too have a Mastercraft motors Jack told me to get ahold of AAA WHILE BOBCARLSONS IS AAA MASTERCRAFT MOTORS GAVE ME A 5% AAA DISCOUNT SO MAYBE I WILL BE ABLE TO RECOVER MY LOSSES STAY AWAY FROM CHRIS & WILL AT BON CARLSONS / MASTERCRAFT MOTORS I WISH I WOILD HAVE

Well, not only did they take the vehicle for a drive. It was driven to their home in Ventura and parked overnight on their property. It was brought back to the business the following day. Did they think that my friend was not going to find out. That's a liability issue on the Owner of the business. My friend let them know of the disappointment of what they did. They still did not get it. Their rational was that they were testing the vehicle. This will be my last time they will have my friends business. Customers beware of the owners. They are dishonest and lack integrity.
