I had a simple headlight out but didn't notice until I was on my way home from work on Saturday afternoon. I stopped at a supply parts store first but they were closed even though it was 45 min prior to the closing time on their website, and the auto repair shop next to them didn't have the kind of bulb I needed in stock. Pep Boys was a bit out of the way but I decided to try my luck. When I pulled up, their employee, Zane, saw me park and actually walked towards me to see what I needed. He readily popped out the bulb, got a replacement and popped the new one in! It only took about 10 minuets, and the whole time he was so friendly, I definitely left with a very positive feeling about the whole encounter. Whatever Pep Boys is paying him, he deserves a raise! I made an online appointment for the morning and when I got there they said there was a 4 hour wait and that any appointments made that morning cannot be honored. I had actually made it the night before when they were closed so probably didn't register in their system until the morning. In any event, poor customer service. At least say you are short staffed and the system mistakenly let me set the appointment. read more

If you book an appointment through Car Advise, they can't see it, they don't know what you ordered, or what your appointment is for, or what you have paid for already! If you do everything car advise instructs you to (They will just assume it is an oil change and only do that[depsite your actual order]) You have to tell them verbally everything, they won't ask you about it, and just take your keys. The last time I went I asked about it and was told I needed to order it in advance, now I ordered it in advance and was told I needed to ask about it now! It's very confusing and misleading so make sure you tell them EVERYTHING you ordered and needed done when you drop your car off or it will not be completed in full. I know it's not fully Pep boys fault but the results are unnaceptable and the system that processes their orders need a major revamp or better customer service. I'd recomend printing out your receipt for your order and physically giving it to them so they have a list of everything that needs to be done and was ordered for work. OR PEP BOYS could ask to help avoid this"What is the entirety of the order" , or "Is it just an oil change that you needed done". Instead of just saying after you say I have an appointment,..... "okay, type type type, I'll take your keys, and call you when it's done". Don't waste your time like I did, and hopefully others can learn from this for the future, customers and businesses alike. I walked up to speak to him after employees pointed him out to me and even told him that I was there to speak to him and he gave me his back never looked my way and when I called for his attention he walked into his office and the door closed on me. He was the only one that could help me at that moment and he was the rudest unprofessional (mute) person I've ever encountered. What customer likes to be ignored I ask you? Went into main street location to buy replacement lamps for my car, was able to find the product quickly and headed back up to the register, where I was then ignored for at least the next three minutes by the cashier Who was helping another customer nearby, no other staff from the store came to help, and the cashier never egg knowledge me even though she looked at me numerous times as I stood there. so I left the items on the counter and went down the street to O'Reilly auto parts where I was greeted immediately upon entering and promptly checked out. would not recommend this location unless you have time to burn, and get your kicks from being ignored when you're trying to get on your way. read more

Been meaning to write this review for awhile. Went to this location in the evening right before they closed on 1/12/2020...the night supervisor was AWESOME! I sadly can't remember his name....he was the nicest and very knowledgable and professional. He went above and beyond helping me and my dad find the right brake light...and when we accidentally dropped it into the body of the car (changing in the parking lot! at night! eek!) he was so kind and went above and beyond by finding a magnet thing we used to fish it out. He didn't have to do any of that...we had only bought like a $6 light bulb! But he went above and beyond and took customer service seriously. Recently moved to Ventura/SB, where "rainstorms" are more of a concept rather than typical reality. With the weather forecast showing that Chicken Little might be right very soon here, figured it was time to put the top up on my MX-5 and get new wiper blades for the first time since buying the car 3 years ago. If I can put no stars I definitely would. I've been a loyal customer for years and many of the people that have been there for a while know what type of customer I am. I went in there for a can of spray paint and did some browsing around and noticed an employee watching as if I was some sort of criminal. The employee that was harasing me was some unprofessional lady with tattoos that apparently was the manager. This store has gone down, this store has a history of losing good employees over the years and I feel this store has gone to waste. Only employees left that still kept me coming back are the great parts man of all time Rick! And Maribel with her customer service. My battery was completely flat lined, had use all AAA services for the year, and the jump from the gracious lady parked next to me.
