I was hoping to drop my van off to get it fixed and Uber to Universal. In LA I called a few shops and got a few different estimates. Over the phone I was quoted $600.00 and the person on the phone didn't even ask what kind of vehicle I had. When I called AAA they sent me to Fisher/Martin automotive which was 1 hour and 15 minutes from where I was. I was so upset I didn't understand why I had to go so far for a repair. THEN I met Jeff and Gary. They looked at my van quickly and had an estimate of a fraction of the cost of what I was quoted everywhere else. I went to lunch and came back and it was ready to go again. That's how I met Danny, who I later learned is one of the owners along with his cousin Oscar. From the beginning, what stood out was how straightforward and reasonable everything felt. The labor rate was fair, the communication was clear, and instead of pushing one expensive path, Danny took the time to explain different options for replacement parts and what made sense financially. I live in Woodland Hills, and Sharp's is in Oxnard, so this was not exactly around the corner for me. But after that first experience, I felt comfortable enough making the trip because it already felt worth it. After that, I came back with my own 2016 Chevy Volt for an A/C issue. Since that car does not have a traditional belt-driven compressor setup, I knew it was going to take more than generic trial-and-error diagnosis. Danny was patient, methodical, and clearly willing to think through a problem instead of just throwing parts at it. The issue ended up getting solved efficiently, which was a huge relief.
