He said there's no returns on electronics. I asked, may I speak to the manager Can you please explain your return policy he said no returns I felt this was a lie So I called a different O'Reillys in Oxnard to confirm with their manager and he laughed and he said yes that's not true. You can return it. Please preserve the package and your receipt and you should be able to return it within 30 days. Just so happens my car was low on oil and my usiband was working. He sent me the brand and name of what I needed, so I walked into the auto parts store by our house. I was not greeted by any of the three employees that were working there, although they did look at me. I found the oil myself but stopped a gentleman and ask for help to make sure I had the right one. Immediately, he made me feel like I was wasting his time. He told me I didn't have the right one, and showed me where the one was I needed. He literally stood there and pointed to it and didn't even grab it off the shelf for me. He was very short with me asking "Is that it?" I asked him if I could put my husband's phone number in because usually he's the one who shops there and he gets a discount with his military ID, which is already attached to his phone #. When Mario finished the sale, he was already headed to the back of the store and I had to stop him to ask where the discount was on the receipt. He barked at me and told me that the military discount didn't apply to oil. And threw the receipt back at me and walked away. I stopped here last night to pick up some brake drums that the other O'Reilly store in Oxnard didn't have in stock. We were able to pay at the other store and pick up at this store, which I liked. Nothing like driving across town to find out the thing they had that you need was just sold. Not a problem if we pre-paid, they held the items for us. This store is in a sort of poor part of town and it gave me a somewhat-unsafe feeling to be visiting after dark, but the shop was clean and tidy and well stocked. Staff was friendly and we were in and out quickly. I'm not in this part of town too often, but if I was, I wouldn't mind coming in again for car stuff. read more

Every time I've came in here all the workers were very rude. And didn't want to listen to my questions. I've had 3 incidents happen with this location. First was a special order part that was "Misplaced" second I rented tools from another location which told me I can return it at any location and they will come pick it up. When I tried to return them they didn't want to take them so I had to drive to 2 locations just to return the tools. 3rd was another part. I asked them to double check that it fit my car they said yes. Turns out it didn't fit. Been without my car for a week because of the mistakes this store has made. read more

Came here in a hurry to grab a few items. They have always been so helpful in the past. They had a new guy at the counter and he was very pleasant. We told him what we needed and with him being new he had to ask someone where to find what we were looking for. The person he asked kind of just pointed to an area and the poor guy took forever to decipher where the item was. We were there waiting at least 15-20 minutes. I walked in to get brakes for my car and he kept telling me that there was an issue on picking my brakes because of something that I didn't want. He tried to sell me higher end brakes when I just wanted simple ones. I will not be going back there if he continues to have an attitude. My boyfriend made up the excuse of going to see what brakes I had and he gave him an attitude saying "what are you going to check" and then my boyfriend said "the brakes" and he goes " and what by checking the brakes you're gonna be able to tel which ones they are or what" with an attitude. I was moving all weekend and I'm the process left my dome light on in my car; battery is dead. I came to the closest place since my car was jumped and was helped by Jose, the Manager. Jose Macias , the store manager, is the worst worker in the entire store. Work ethic is not there at all. He works when he feels like it and doesn't follow work protocol. I came in here picking up a part for a will call which basically is you pay at another store and pick up where ever the part is located , which was this store. I had to start walking around the back where all the parts are to look for my parts because no one knew what I was talking about. Mind you , all the information was transferred from manager to manager. So I called the other store so they could call this store so they could figure out what was going on. Jose led on to say "I don't know what you're here for, I don't know what you're talking about" and walked away with a terrible attitude and the worst part is that he is the STORE MANAGER. To top it all off they found my parts shoved in a corner and when they gave them to me , Jose gave me a smirk and I grabbed my parts and left. I was so livid and I called my dad which has a commercial account with them and he did say he would call the Regional Manager because this is NOT the first time I've had TERRIBLE service here. Went in looking for an EGR Vacuum Modulator that I needed immediately. I could not find it in stock at another parts store but regardless the guy who helped me out, I believe his name was Marcos (according to the receipt), was able to price match their competitor. I'm an occasional customer but this definitely solidifies my decision to keep coming back when looking for car parts. read more
