Ambience was amazing. Food was made from scratch. You can taste the difference and the owner is the chef and is a very sweet man very accommodating to adjust things to dietary restrictions.

    Village salad

This place is consistently good. The food sometimes takes a little while to come out, but it looks like the place is run by the owner and maybe one other person. I love the Village salad- fresh veggies (tomatoes, bell peppers, red onion, olives, cucumber, pepperoni) with olive oil, seasonings, and feta. It comes with fresh warm pita on the side. My partner usually gets a gyro pita, and always enjoys the sandwich. We have tried the hummus and Greek fries which are good as well. My only downside to this restaurant are the lack of veggie protein options (missing falafel) and that the prices I feel are slightly high. Other than that, this place is a good option for Greek food in the area.

    Greek Hummus Appetizer

The food is absolutely delicious. We started with the Greek Hummus appetizer which is creamy and delicious, topped with fresh cucumbers, tomatoes, red onions and feta. We got an extra pita since 4 people were sharing. The space is small with about 8 tables inside and a couple outside. The service is wonderful but the team usually consists of one person at the front and one cook who helps serve and take orders. Compared to other Greek restaurants in town, we prefer Santorini the best!

    Trimming roasted chicken

Fresh food full of flavor! Fun, responsive servers and kitchen staff. The chicken was succulent, savory, tender and juicy. Authentic Greek food all cooked on site and served in generous portions at a reasonable price. Small, colorful, sun-filled dining room with decorations evoking the charm and rich culture of Santorini.

    Greek coffee, extra sweet

We decided to duck in to Santorini Greek Cafe for dinner. The owner/chef greeted us as soon as we walked in. We choose a table in the middle of the dining room. They also have 2 booth with murals of Greece and half bench/table seating. We ordered lemonade, Greek coffee and the Greek hummus to start. The hummus comes with cucumbers and pita for dipping and is loaded the cucumbers, red onion, tomatoes and capers. It was so silky and delicious! Great balanced flavors. For entrees we ordered the chicken gyro plate with Greek fries and the lamb gyro plate with extra salad. The lamb was tender and delicious the salad had an abundance of cucumbers, kalamata olives, tomato, and onions. It was dressed with good olive oil and lemon. The perfect accompaniment for the rich lamb. My sister ordered the chicken gyro plate. She said the chicken was some of the best seasoned she'd ever had and I agree. It was flavorful but not overpowering. Those fries were glorious with feta cheese, olive oil and oregano. They are very snackable and such a great pairing with the chicken. In addition to the wonderful food, I really enjoyed the family feel of the place. It was cozy but not uncomfortably so and the owner took great care of all of the guests. Definitely adding this to the rotation!

Despite some key sports events going on (World Cup U.S. round of 16) this once bustling shopping/dining avenue was eerily quiet. Indeed, we both couldn't help but notice the number of venues that were permanently closed and the degree to which nearly every window (occupied or closed) had etched or soaped graffiti all over it. One block off of 4th Ave (on 6th St) we saw Opas Grill (not to be confused with "Opa's Best Greek" at Broadway/Swan!) and headed in. Two small screens above the corner bar area were displaying the soccer game. Of the roughly 16 tables between the two dining rooms only three were occupied. We were greeted promptly and tended to graciously. She got the Dinner Gyro Wrap with the salad side ($15) and I got the Dinner Gyro Salad ($16). They arrived in less than 10 minutes with both protein portions of decent size and piping hot. The salads were fresh/crisp with no wilted anything and dressings were on the side, as requested. Note: the wrap was a bit sloppy due to juices but good flavors for both entrees and we polished them off. The lone disappointment was the Honey Old Fashioned cocktail (average) and in hindsight we should have tried one of their Mastiha drinks (a deliciously unique liquor that's endemic to Greece). The entrance is kind of hidden/recessed about 25 feet deep from the sidewalk. Bonus, there's a small private parking lot (free) that's right beside the building. Final Note: 3% is added to any non-cash payment.

When I arrived just after 7:30pm for my takeout, the employee came to the window and told me that they closed early and aren't doing anymore orders. When I showed him my confirmation email receipt he told me it doesn't matter and that I needed to go home. When I explained that I already paid and asked for a refund he flat out said no and that it's not his problem. When I pressed further for an explanation to why their website would take an order if they're closed and demanded a refund, he pretended not to understand me anymore and told me to leave. Caravan Grill is open until 8pm, this can be confirmed on Google and the hours posted on their door. I'm beyond frustrated that they would take my order, charge my card, and send me a confirmation email with a pickup time only to close early. Additionally, how can you charge me and then not provide the service I paid for and deny me a refund? Lastly, why the rude attitude with me like I'm at fault for ordering food. This is absolutely insane business practice. It truly feels illegal, because WTF am I suppose to do? They stole $50 from me! Confirmation email attached for proof
