Very friendly staff. Not so good food. Got seated right away and got placed at a very questionable shaky table. It felt like an earthquake was occurring everytime you shifted something on the table. As a peer tried to cut his food another peer's wine completely spilled everywhere. The staff was aware from the start it was wobbly table, but the other tables were reserved (and some were also very wobbly) so they did not offer us a different spot. We ordered food based on some recommendations from the waiter and some that we wanted to try. Short Rib Fries - Fries were not very good in terms of taste and crisp. The ribs were ok... tasted like cheap meat Fried Mozzarella - Standard not bad, nothing unique Ultimo Burger - the patty tasted like a microwaved, very bland and had to add ketchup for any flavor. Baked penne - was definitely the best item I tried on the menu. Very rich creamy pasta Mango Cart Draft Peers - Not bad. Only $6 for a draft so very reasonable. Cabernet Sauvignon Wine - did not taste good whatsoever. Would not recommend. Aperol Spritz - the splash of soda water was more of a dunk. Not enough flavor because the soda water was too much. The view was nice as you are high up and can get the ocean breeze. The ambiance looks nice, and they have a backdrop "corona" sign. Music was just getting set up as we were leaving, but they do have live music. The staff were very nice, but seemed very inexperienced (not knowing drink names, etc.). The kitchen was SLOW AS MOLASSES. Took sooo long to just get the appetizer and soooo long to get our food, we asked for our check as soon as the food came out. Santucci's is known for their original square pizza. They have an indoor and outdoor seating. I sat in their outdoor seating area for my visit. A lot of reviews talk about the lack of service. Our server was very attentive without being too much. I could see if the place was busier how people would complain about the service. I did notice that Santucci's has events most days of the week. We ordered calamari and two personal size pizzas. The calamari was crispy and was seasoned well. The personal pizzas were very big. We ordered a white pizza and a pepperoni pizza. Both pizzas were good. I would give them a 8/10. The white pizza had a cheesy bread taste. Which you would either love it or hate it. The pepperoni pizza was good, but the layers are different from what I am used to. The sauce is layered on top then the cheese and the pepperoni. So if you like a more cheesier pizza this would not be an option. read more

We ordered delivery from here through Grubhub. Then we received a message 45 min later that the restaurant handles their own delivery. Then DoorDash took over. An hour and 25 min later the food arrived like warm at best. I took a bite of chicken... and realized it was undercooked and raw. I'm so grossed out. I've been going to Santuccis in Philly for a long time so I was happy to see one in Ventnor! This one has that down the shore vibe. The downstairs is quiet with booths, tables, a few outside tables, a bar and games. The upstairs patio is a party with 2 bars and lots of seating. The upstairs gets crowded fast. It's one kitchen so we waited 40 minutes for our pizza. The waitstaff was good. The square pizza is delicious just like Philly. It has a good crust not too thick or thin. The cheese is put on first with the sauce on top. The pizza isn't as greasy. The sauce has a nice tang. Salads, pasta and sandwiches are also on the menu. Very good, square, Sicilian-style pizza. Salad and side order of longhots (caution: they don't mess around with the heat on the longhots) also quite tasty. We ordered takeout and, upon arrival at Santucci's, place looks very inviting, so that'll be something to keep in mind when things get back to some semblance of normalcy. Pizza was good - very sauce-intensive - only knock is that the sausage topping was a bit skimpy. But, that one niggle aside, it's really nice to have this Philly icon as our neighbor down here at the Jersey Shore. read more

My husband called this place a pizzeria when we first sat down, but I think that's being generous. We went on a Friday at 6:30 and the place was dead so you'd think we would have had attentive service. Nope. Our server took our food drink order and within 15 minutes food started coming out. The problem is that after 30 minutes my son's cheese pizza had NOT come out. The server not once came back to check on us until my husband asked a runner where his food was--only then did we discover that someone had messed up the tickets in the back and given our son's pizza to another table. It took another 40 MINUTES to correct this issue and by that time everyone else in our party was done eating. There was no apology, no manager came to talk to us, no offer to take his food off the bill. So after spending over $200 I can safely say that we will NOT be back and I have every intention of telling people to avoid this place unless they want poor service from a staff that doesn't care. read more

Brand new restaurant in Ventnor. Ignore the reviews before May 2020 as they are not related to this location. We had the specialty pizza plus a mushroom flatbread and short rib fries and everything was good. The fries were a bit soggy though. Delivery was quick too. We will definitely order takeout from here again. Eating in is a different story. The food is good But the staff are only mildly interested in waiting on you. And the drink prices are ridiculous. $12 for a glass of wine and $9 for a domestic draft beer. So take out for us. read more

I would give this a ZERO if it allowed me to do so. I am so embarrassed that we had out-of-town guests and subjected them to this instead of really good pizza. We have had Santucci's at two locations in Pennsylvania and they were excellent. This was not. The service was horrendous and the pizza was not good. Once and done. Overall, we enjoyed our meal at Santucci's, specifically the pizza. To start we ordered a Caesar salad to share. Unfortunately, this salad was a disappointment. The dressing had no "zing" -- it was very bland (no garlic flavor) and too much dressing on the lettuce. At $14, definitely not worth it. But I presume that people come here for the pizza and with this, Santucci's did not disappoint. We ordered a large square pie to share (actually a rectangle) and we all thought it was great. Went there for their weekend brunch. I really don't have a single positive thing to say, other than server was nice, poorly cooked eggs, tasteless potatoes toast was toasted on one side, no butter. When to Santucci's today, was ventnor block party. Sat down didn't get menus until we flagged someone down for them. Our waitress brings menus and ask what we wanted to drink, didn't get ours drinks until 20 minutes after placing drink order. While we were waiting for drinks another waitress come over and ask what would like to drink, we said we gave the other waitress our drink order. She says oh she told me to come over here. She took our food order. Food took forever we were almost done our drinks. Food order came out separately. My husbands wings where cold. Not once did the waitress apologize. I have to say this place is fantastic! Friday early evening we walked in and were seated right away! Everyone was social distanced and had masks going to seats. The service was top notch! Devon took such good care of us and was the sweetest. Drinks were great! The Gorgonzola, granny apple & walnut salad....so yum! I'm coming back just for that salad!! My hub had the works personal pie & I had the margarita personal pie. Hot and delish. I know this place got tough reviews, but that was not our experience. Would highly recommend! We order pizza from there all the time. Saturday night we ordered a pizza with sausage on it. When we arrived home with our dinner there was two pieces of sausage on each slice. What an absolute disgrace. The pizza hardly had any cheese on it and was so thin and the crust also that I had to call. The manager said this is their new pizza and if you don't like it don't come back. We will not be ordering any food from here ever again. I was very hesitant to order from here given the reviews. However my husband loves this pizza in PA so we opted for it today. We ordered a variety of items for the family. Here's my honest review. The food was delivered timely and as promised. Pizza: Way thicker then most other locations. I still dislike it, but my husband said although thicker, he enjoyed it. Wings: gross. Don't get them. Cheap quality, fatty, and poorly cooked. Cheesesteak: subpar. Nothing to right home about. Decent, but the roll way way too big for the amount of meat put in it. Parmesan fries: gross. Soggy, oily, just nothing good about them. Spaghetti and meatballs: passed the kid test. Personally I didn't try it. Cheeseboard: was pretty good, but I expected more then 1 type of cheese. (I think you know where this is going) Me and my Woman decided to leave because at this point our friend who invited us spoke with the "MANAGER" who claims "3 minutes, just 3 minutes". 10-15 minutes later and after 6-7 more people were able to get in (Coincidentally all the same in color) we have a woman approach us with a Versace hat trying to reason why we can't get in and how we can "Come Back Another Time"!! Now as our friend is coming down to leave with us a security guard says "How did she get in??" As if she didn't BELONG!!" Nah, we will just let the internet do its thing!! We didn't act out or show face. We POLITELY walked away and took our business to VAGABOND who serves EVERYBODY with the same respect they deserve.
