First of all, this is an Italian pizzeria that offers a wide variety of dinner dishes, salads and sandwiches. I ordered the lasagne which I was pleasantly surprised how delicious it was and well prepared. It didn't come out of a microwave! My wife had the tuna salad which was all fresh ingredients and well prepared. Tasty as well. You order at the counter and they bring your food to you. Nothing fancy. Don't offer these people your business. Fritelli's don't deserve your hard-earned money. OMG...terrible. I read in the past that this place had ok food. Stopped to pick up a cheese steak with fried onions. Simple huh? Upon my getting home from work later in the day, I unwrapped the cheesesteak and noticed a purple hue. Why? Upon inspection, the order taker by an honest error and had entered the order incorrectly, and instead of Fried Onions, RAW BERMUDA Onions were put on the Cheese steak. Bermuda, or red onion, is VERY STRONG. Plus, in all my years, has anyone ever ever purchased a cheeseteak with RAW Red onion? If this were in the City, people would be going nuts. Disgusting, but errors happen, no big deal. I called immediately, and the very professional young lady (Giana), upon my explaining, looked up the order and informed me a mistake was entered and took ownership and apologized, and asked if I wanted another one. I live a distance away, so I asked if I could just pick one up the next day. I was told to call back the next day, and the very professional person, Giana, stated she would leave a note so that ordering and receiving the correct order would be efficient. Giana was stellar. I would hire Giana in a split second. I called back the next day as instructed, and right from the get-go, I knew this was going to be a problem. The owner gets on the phone and asks immediately why I waited to call after I picked up the original order. I explained that I work, and couldn't unwrap the Steak until I got home for dinner. I'm sure I am not the only one to pick up dinner for later in the day. The owner then stated Why didn't I just take the RAW RED ONION off the Cheese Steak? I explained, and I was right, because I picked it up earlier in the day, the RAW RED ONIONS steamed in the wrapper, and the STRONG flavor permeated the steak. So, taking off the onion did no good. This owner was so over the top rude, unprofessional, and certainly uneducated on how to handle such a minor issue, and goes on to tell me that no, sorry, Fratellis can't help me. HUH??? The owner should be trained by Giana on how to treat a repeat customer or any customer. The owner then asked if I wanted my money back. No, I never asked for my money back; I only want the cheesesteak as I had ordered originally. I explained that RED ONION is very strong and was inedible and ruined the steak. There is a reason why people don't eat cheese steaks with Red onion, let alone RAW RED ONION. If the owner keeps doing this with customers, as I have heard from multiple X customers, this place, with its high rent, will be out of business, AND WELL DESERVED. I am in disbelief that such a minor order-taking error has evolved into the owner losing yet another repeat customer. In the Winter, when this place has few customers, I wonder if we will be missed then? What an a-h Don't patronize a business when a simple error from their employee is trying to do right. Starting off, the food is okay, just your basic pizza. The only good "thing" about the ambiance is its location, beautiful view--though the music is loud and often times the tracks played are annoying. Now this is where it gets bad. As a POC, seeing the customers in front being greeted with a good demeanor, to then have it be swapped with the most abrupt, lack of care attitude... it has me wondering if was due in part to my skin color. Frank was very disrespectful and unprofessional when I asked if I could get a new slice because mine was burnt which is disgusting to me. He told me too bad, that's how the pizza is because of the pepperoni...? I said ok may I have a cheese then? I hate being difficult but I asked nicely and showed the black burnt pizza to him. Although I wished they had those Krinkle ~ cut fries which are so hard to find, the cheeseburger I had there has got to be one of the BEST CHEESEBURGERS I have ever had. This is a new restaurant in the Acme shopping center in Ventnor Good news is that the food was decent both the pizza and the Italian dishes. Majority of the food is take out. The place is staffed by 17 and 18 year-old young men who are well intentioned, but do not have a clue as to how to work in this restaurant. No sense of customer service or knowledge of the menu. It's difficult to get through on the phone to order anything or ask for a variation of some of the menu items. Instead, you are encouraged to use a not particularly user-friendly app. A lot of this is what young people are accustomed to dealing with in pizza/Italian restaurants. Older clientele, like to connect with staff and owners and ambience in order to develop an allegiance. Unless these kinks are ironed out, the restaurant will survive vacation months, but not once the winter comes read more

This was our first visit to Fratelli's Pizza in Ventnor,NJ. We were excited to support a new business in Ventnor as year round residents. The experience was embarrassing and frustrating. There was confusion in ordering which was corrected by the cashier. When I was given the order by what I assume is a manager, I explained I ordered two wraps. He immediately said I was wrong. I said I ordered two wraps and the cashier confirmed which then he was rude to her for the mixup. He then said I would need to pay extra which I said I already paid. He was upset with me and then realized I had paid for both. He then told me "I needed to lose my attitude ". Another customer looked at me and said I can't believe he spoke to you that way. I waited ten more minutes for the wrap. There was no reason to treat me that way. I had high hopes for this place but with that type of service my business will stay with Capri and Uncle Gino's. read more
