I already knew he had a great reputation (via personal referral from a former RWC building staffer). Tim and his crew are very professional, easy to work with, and the results are functional, beautiful, and they keep the areas they work in clean. They are also sensitive to environmental concerns in recycling and reusing wherever possible. I also really like that this is a family-run, local company and Tim in particular is extremely easy to communicate with. He is very good at following up, paying attention to detail, offering pertinent advice that helped me make better decisions and save money, etc. Everyone who has seen his work in my home admires it a lot and I would highly recommend him (I would definitely use him again for any future projects). But remodeling, I have come to learn, is like marriage - it will take a lot of work, but who you work with will make all the difference. Working on our large remodeling project with Bridgford turned out to be one of the best decisions we have ever made. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect team even if I could have created them out of thin air. Every single person - Chris Bridgford, Alejandro, Stephanie Walker (hands down the best ever!!), Jr, and even the contractors Bridgford carefully vetted and worked with - was absolutely amazing. Their attentiveness, commitment to quality, and incredible patience made the entire process unbelievably smooth and easy to go through. Chris was a true perfectionist in the best way possible; he took pride in getting every detail - big or small - absolutely right and I couldn't have possibly asked for more. Stephanie was an angel sent from heaven - listening, guiding, and empathizing with me through ever step of the process and so warmly and gently walking me through a hundred thousand details. The way she thought through every small detail, it was as if she were imagining living in the home herself and helping me think about all the small but important things that I sure would have missed on my own. Even when the stress of remodeling got to me, the team's calmness was like an anchor. They never rushed, never got flustered, and somehow helped me become calm and feel under control again, too. We didn't need such an extensive makeover so we were concerned that Chris wouldn't want to take our project. Luckily for us, we didn't have to worry about that--he not only took our project but prioritized us and expedited so that we could move in on time. We thought our house was in pretty good shape overall, but as we started fixing things, we found some funk that had to corrected or updated to code. Chris and his team took it all in stride and didn't mind that we kept adding on things here and there. He would come on site regularly to make sure his team was delivering what he promised and doing quality work. He would also check on the subcontractors' work to make sure we were happy. The best thing about Chris is his vision and good taste. He recommended some things that we hadn't thought of (that either cost the same/not much more) that turned out really great and made a huge difference. We are very happy and looking forward to our next project with him.

I will tell you this story: We met with Bret Schiller (seems like a nice guy) and gave him our plans that was drawn up by our architect so he can give us an estimate. We didn't hear from him for a few days, i started to get worried. So we called him and left messages. he didn't call back. Turns out he had gone out of town for a week or so and neglected to tell us. Fine.. no big deal i thought. i'm sure he was busy and it was an honest mistake. But thats not all.... He informs us that he has LOST our plans! Needless to say, we did not go with him to do our remodel. He did apologize profusely and offered to pay for new plans drawn up. And we were leaning towards another contractor anyways since we thought he dissappeared on us so weren't going to hire him anyways. So no huge harm. But just wanted to share the small experience.

DN Construction is excellent!…read more Darek and his crew have completed three major projects for us: Master Bath, Guest Bath and Kitchen makeovers. Every day they showed up early, laid out tarps, taped off areas as appropriate to limit dust and were extremely hard working. They completed our Guest Bath in five days, the Master Bath in eight days, and four days for the Kitchen. The result is stunningly gorgeous. Darek made our house look like a million bucks ...literally. Darek and his crew are very skilled, considerate craftsmen. Everyday they cleaned up so you could hardly tell they had been here. Any request we made regarding changes was met with Darek's very optimistic, "No problem!" He is confident because he is so capable and truly expert at his craft. Our first project with DN Construction was the large guest bathroom. We needed the job completed in time for Thanksgiving Day guests. Darek and crew worked skillfully and quickly to finish a day ahead. The room was totally transformed. The three hardest things to find are good doctors, good car mechanics and good contractors. DN Construction has been Silicon Valley's best kept secret (until now.) In the Master Bath, they tore out a linen closet to extend the room another 2 feet. They installed a European style hung toilet with in-the-wall tank. The result saves a tremendous amount of space and is very elegant and easy to clean. Darek also installed a heating mat under the floor tiles. The heated floor may be our favorite feature. He expanded the shower and installed a slot drain with tile cover, making it practically invisible. A crystal glass vessel sink and Hansgrohe fixtures finished it off. Our kitchen was about 25 years old, badly in need of updating. We had received estimates that were out of this world. Darek understood our interests, directed us to affordable options, and provided all the information we needed to make well-informed decisions. We ordered the cabinets prior to the tear-out. From start to finish, they completed our kitchen in four days ...it was totally amazing. What a miraculous transformation. We would not hesitate to recommend DN Construction, Darek Szatkowski and his crew for any remodeling project big or small. These guys can do anything. No kidding ...anything. Scott and his team renovated our 2 bathrooms and kitchen as well as put in new HVAC, flooring, windows and electrical. We really appreciated his expertise and knowledge across the trades as well as his team of subcontractors who were top notch and met our super high quality bar! It helps that Scott has a close knit crew he's worked with for many years that he trust and that made things so efficient. Scott was always available and accessible and kept the project on track. Even when there were delays or issues with materials out of our control, he managed to find creative ways to fix it and within budget. We built great rapport and trust in Scott and his team and that's what made an otherwise stressful process very manageable for us first time home renovators. We also went with Scott's Blackbird custom cabinets for our kitchen, bathroom and bedroom closets and we're absolutely in love. His team helped from design (including countertop fabrication) to installation and overall pricing was very reasonable.
