The service wasn't the quickest that day, however the flavor of the drinks made that not matter to me at all. I got the matcha flight and not only was it served SO cutely on a little board with all the flavors named, they tasted AMAZING. They make the place cute too with some decor, but really the drinks and food are where SAPO shines. I will be back and am actively trying to figure out how to get a drink for my morning commute.​ Also everything is lactose free, and with dairy alternatives can be requested. That is something really special. I always have to triple check ingredients or get the most basic versions of drinks so I don't hurt my stomach. I recently went to Sapo Coffee House after having seen so many posts and friends go! The cafe is on the first floor of a larger complex but there is ample signage and parking in the lot. The cafe itself is small but very cute and has a good amount of seating. The staff member who helped me was very patient and kind and seemed to be doing it all! The menu has a combination of drinks and food but leans more toward drinks. I had seen the triple strawberry matcha on instagram and decided to try that. I was extremely excited that a Vietnamese cafe opened in Grand Rapids. Sapo Coffee House definitely did not disappoint. I went twice in one week after trying it for the first time because it was just that good! The first time I went, I ordered the banana pudding matcha latte and it was delicious, super flavorful, and perfectly balanced! It was not too sweet at all. You can really tell their matcha is high quality. The second time, I tried the iced cinnamon brown sugar latte with houjicha, and it is hands down one of the best houjicha drinks I've had in Grand Rapids. The owner is incredibly nice, funny, and genuinely sweet. They have so many creative and unique drink options, and I honestly want to try everything on the menu. They also just dropped a triple strawberry matcha drink that looks so good! Sapo House is already one of my favorite spots! I highly recommend if you love matcha, houjicha, Vietnamese coffee, or love to explore new coffee shops. :-) read more

Majorly underrated spot. The Vietnamese coffee is incredible and the foams are so tasty. The food options are limited but well done. Took about 15 minutes for food to come out so probably not a grab and go. Drinks came out quickly. They also have a lot of matcha drinks which looked yummy just not my personal preference. read more

I met with a friend at Sapo Coffee House and had a lovely time. This spot just opened a couple of weeks ago! The menu has a Vietnamese influence and I was excited to try some new things. They even have some food items (banh mi, croffles, croissants, etc.), which makes me love a coffee shop even more! The space is in the main lobby of an office building (actually it looks like it used to be a bank), and they don't have their name on the sign outside yet. The space is inviting and cozy, with some couches and soft seating. They even have games you can play while you're there. I ordered the Saigon flight, which came with black coffee, Vietnamese coffee, sea salt latte, and an ube coffee. The flight was so delicious and I loved each of the different drinks. The ube coffee in particular was one of the best I've had - it actually tasted like ube. I also really liked the sea salt latte, so much that I ended up ordering a full sized one to bring home. The space was a great place to catch up with my friend and I'd love to come back to get some work done. It's a bit far from my house, but there are other items on the menu that I'll be back to try. read more

A trip to Sapo is really a MUST whenever I'm in Michigan no matter which city. The drinks are insanely good especially their Vietnamese coffee. The space is nicely decorated and great for friend groups, and they also have seats for those who want to work or study there too. They also take good care of their customers even though it's almost always crowded. Will come back to try their new croffles! read more

once i read the menu, i was excited to try Sapo! Sapo is located inside some sort of office building. my partner ordered a chocolate caramelized banana latte with oat milk and i ordered an ube matcha with oat milk. the ube matcha was listed as a special outside of their regular menu. once we gave our drinks a good mix, the flavorful layers came together perfectly. the ube foam on top of the matcha was absolutely delicious and my partner loved his chocolate caramelized banana latte. they also have games which is a major plus for us. i loved playing uno while enjoying my drink with my family. read more
