attended an event at sip coffee and cocktails and enjoyed 2 cocktails while there. unfortunately their oven was not working, so i couldn't try their flatbread pizzas (which sounded so yummy!) they have happy hour from 4-6pm with great choices for cocktails, i had the margaritas which was perfectly balanced (coming from a girl who doesn't always love margs) their is plenty of seating outside, a handful of indoor tables with lots of bar space. i'd definitely recommend! great spot in alger heights

Located in Alger Heights, Sip Coffee and Cocktails is now open and serving drinks and small plates. Nate and I stopped in after a quick dinner across the street at Don Beto's. The space is cozy and we snagged one of the last two-top tables. The vibe was relaxed and dimly lit. Our server Elaine was so kind and conversational. I was happy to see they have some spirit-free drink options, so I got the blueberry paloma and Nate got the strawberry hibiscus. While our drinks were being made, I had fun looking at all the art in the space. There is a pretty large patio out front that will be great for warmer months! Our drinks were really good - I liked that they weren't too sweet, with great flavors. The blueberry paloma made with spirit-free tequila was refreshing and bubbly. I'd definitely order this again. I don't make it to this area that frequently, but I'd love to stop in again and try some more spirit-free drinks or a coffee.

I've been to Sip a few times, and it's a really chill spot for hangouts and meetings with friends. They have a nice bar seating area that looks out onto Eastern, which is really nice. On my most recent visit, I had the Apple Sage mocktail, and holy cow it was delicious! I'll definitely be back to try it again!

I was just whelmed by Sip. I was hoping for great things with how adorable their outside is (love the painted flowers on the building) and spacious patio that is dog friendly. The indoors is cute as well with plants galore, art by a local artists, and they even have a little children's book section. The menu was a little smaller than I expected and a lot of items were crossed out as being out of stock since no one stocked over night (waitress said they didn't inform her before opening). So most cocktails, which there were like 5 options (a little low in my opinion for a place called sip coffee and cocktails), were missing an ingredient or two. The drinks were fine. Nothing that really said 'wow, come try this again' but it wasn't bad. Just whelmed. Maybe the coffee is better. I do applaud the waitress though as she was the only one working with a long line. Fortunately for her, as the line winded down a second employee arrived to help. Parking is located in a lot in back.

I've been to Sip twice now and both times my experience has been wonderful! The service is top tier, each server I've had has been so kind and patient and helpful. I haven't got food here yet, but the drinks are really good! I'd say they're priced a little bit on the high end, but nothing crazy. This is a small space, very cozy but welcoming. Plenty of room to sit with a small or large group. I love the concept of coffee in the morning and apps/drinks in the evening. There's something for everyone!

Absolutely delicious 12 oz. chai for a good price ($6). The lights were a bit too dim, but the ambiance was lovely. I'll be back!

The lunch options are only served from 11-4. Besides coffee, they have wine, beer, pop, and kambucha. I got the masala chai, which was nice and not overly sweet. For meal I got the hippie ki yay, and I enjoyed that flatbread, it is vegan. The spinach dip is also good but different than what you'd expect. It is not too creamy and has a little tangy taste. But I liked that a lot, so I enjoyed it. The ambiance is lively and energetic. There's a lot of seating available, and different types including a massive couch. It is noisy in there with everyone talking, but I dont think its too bad if you want to study there. They do have a stage where they have bands perform, they also have trivia nights. I hope to check out one of the trivia nights. There is a decent size parking lot in the back. This parking lot was filled on a Tuesday night, so its definitely a spot to go and check out. Popping in on the Friday after Thanksgiving with a friend around 9:30pm, here's my experience. 1) Cocktails: Their menu is large and includes cocktails, wine, beer, non-alcoholic drinks, and small bites. My friend ordered a seasonal cocktail and I started with the Passion Spritz, which was my favorite with passion fruit and guava. For my second drink, I ordered the French 75, which was average. It has good taste, but it came with a large ice cube. The cocktail was more watered down than ones I've had chilled v. with an ice cube. 2) Service: It was attentive and friendly. Throughout our stay, the servers checked in with us at appropriate times. All were approachable. 3) Space: It's simple yet chic with plenty of places to sit at the bar, at tables, and on couches. If you want a great place to catch up with friends, go here!

My friend got a steak on top of the gnocchi and really enjoyed it! Overall I think this restaurant is worth the hype and canto wait to dine here again! It's important to know that if you want to dine here, plan to reserve a table ahead or plan to wait for a table. They hold 50% of table s for walk ins. Parking DT is always a challenge and once they build the soccer stadium, I imagine it will be craziness. It just takes a bit of planning.
