I work near this place, so detoured on a day that I had mandatory OT on a Saturday, since no traffic got me near my job much earlier than normal. I got a jalapeno sausage roll and 2 donuts. This is my favorite place in the Flower Mound/Highland Village area for sausage rolls, Kolaches and donuts. Everything is amazing but the sausage rolls are the best I've ever had. And yes... (blasphemy alert)... that includes the Czech Stop and Slovacek's in West, TX (which are quite amazing in their own right). Not sure where the owners source their jalapeño sausage but it is perfect. Flavorful with just the right amount of heat and super high quality. The secret to their sausage rolls, though, is in the dough that surrounds each yummy bite. It is soft, flavorful and melts in your mouth. If you get lucky enough to get there when they have come right out of the oven but an extra 1-2 - you'll want them no matter how full you are. I'm not a donut fan but they do some very creative donut art that kids seem to love and their Kolaches are authentic and offered with a variety of fillings. If you need another reason to try this place, the new owners (this location has changed hands at least a couple of times) are the sweetest couple you'll ever meet. They are hard-working, friendly and make you want to root for them to succeed. Spectacular! This is not your average donut shop. When I was there today, a couple told me they drive from Denton just for their donuts. They make so much more than just donuts. (Slices if French toast with strawberries and chocolate. Yes, please!) They also have amazing breakfast "sandwiches".
