Small pizza with pepperoni, sausage, and onions
    Michelle E.

Arrived at 11 am, but there was no pizza ready for slices, so a 20-minute wait no matter how I went, slices or whole. Disappointed that at noon, when I was leaving, there were no cinnamon rolls ready, they weren't started until 11 am. I don't understand a pizza business that sells slices of pizza and opens at 11, but doesn't have any slices ready to go when the doors open. And I asked about cinnamon rolls when ordering shortly after 11 am, but was not told they wouldn't be ready until after lunch! Very disappointing on the service front. Here's the rest of the review. Good pizza. I got a small with pepperoni, sausage, and onion. The sausage was excellent, spicy and flavorful. The crust was thin, but not super-thin, and carried the generous portion of sauce and toppings with ease. The decor is basic, but lots of red/black as one might expect. Paper plates and styrofoam cups, but okay, cleanup is easier. I'm not sure I'd drive from Columbia again, but if I'm ever out here again, I will definitely stop for another pizza. Note: the address listed on Yelp is incorrect. They are in a new location on S Palmer Street, in view of the old building.

    Miles to Race

Got the Miles to Race sub, toasted and "Sarah's Way" and what else can I say but WOW! They didn't skimp out on the protein, and it was great. The staff were very friendly, and answered a few questions I had politely. The music was playing loud enough to hear it, but not so loud that you have to yell to hear whomever you may bring with you. Prices were fair as well.

Cute little store front. Looking forward to some pizza

I did not care for the slice of pizza I was served when I ordered a single slice to go. Slices are not ready ahead of time they have to be made and can be ordered like a regular pizza, the price includes up to 3 toppings. I dint realize this before ordering but figured it would just come with lots of cheese. It was sparsely covered at best. I did not like the taste of the heavy handed sauce, it tasted like tomato paste from a can more than anything else. I also ordered some cinnamon rolls to bring home for the kids. Will update when I get the review from them.

This pizza is soooo good!!! We have about 5 pizza places near where we live in NE Columbia but this place is totally worth the 15 min drive. Food is so delicious and the service is phenomenal.

    "The Michael T Special"
    Michael T.

If you love pizza like I do and you are close to Ridgeway, SC; do yourself a favor and stop in for a slice or a pie! They make a pie for me that is called "The Michael T Special" and it is delicious. The toppings are: pepperoni (extra), sausage, meatballs, onion, black olives and mushrooms. I can honestly say that Sarah and George make one of the best pies I have ever tasted.

Our lunch group of six went here today for the first time. Nice place with good seating. We put two tables together and went up to the counter to place our order. Five of us ordered pizzas and one ordered a sub sandwich. We ordered 1 pizza with the white garlic sauce rather than the red pizza sauce, 1 order for a cheese pizza, 1 meat lover pizza and 1 medium cheese, bacon, sausage, pepperoni, mushroom and onion pizza. The pizzas all came out very hot and were good. The cheese pizza seemed to have a very thin crust, as were all of them, but it seemed thinner than the rest. Everyone thought the pizzas were good. The person ordering the white garlic sauced pizza had never seen that before and really liked it....said he'd order it again. The cheese pizza person said he liked it but had reservations on the crust. I've had better sauce, but my pizza was good. Good pull on the cheese. Crust was crisp and fine. The person ordering the sub sandwich said it was good, nothing special over any other sub sandwich he had. Service was good. Atmosphere good and had a great smell of pizza when we walked in!

I placed an advanced online order giving the restaurant one hour to prepare my order. I received a confirmation text and a text right at 5:50 (the time I requested for pick up) saying my order was ready. But when I went inside, it's clear that my order was never made because she printed my receipt and walked towards the open kitchen where orders were being made. I could not see her (the owner) but saw everyone else in the kitchen directing their attention to her. My receipt was then hung on the wall with an "R"... maybe code for rush. Then one of the kitchen staff grabbed one of four boxes out of their refrigerator that was facing the sitting area where I was waiting. Within 5-7 minutes my pizza was done. She opened the box and the cheese was nothing like their online photos. Just white and melty, not brown and bubbly. Some concerns now started going through my head. I asked if this is how their pizzas always come out of the oven, where earlier i mentioned "hey don't let them rush it too much I drove a good way for this pizza". She said yes, that she had to put some extra cheese on top because it was short on cheese. Hmmmmm....... Interesting. She offered to put it back in the oven but I declined, knowing I could heat it in the broiler when I got back home 25 min away. I put my pizza in the car, and then went back inside and raised my concerns. Was completely up front and said "so after your cheese comment that had me thinking... I saw the girl get a box out of your fridge. I sure hope this wasn't a pizza from earlier today that just had new cheese and mushrooms added on top". The owner said "oh no, we don't ever have pizzas made ahead. But I can tell that you are not happy so let me refund you." Once I got home and was pre-heating the oven, I decided to dissect my pizza a bit... and was able to peel off the obviously added on white, melted cheese on top, along with my mushrooms. AH HA! And just as I suspected, underneath was a cheese a pepperoni pizza (I did order mushrooms and pepperoni).... With nice brown and bubbly cheese. I'm honestly disgusted and could not even finish my piece because the more I thought about it the sicker I felt. Here's a photo, you be the judge.... And I know that this could happen anywhere, anytime... but I saw it with my own eyes. Luckily I have been refunded as promised within the hour.

Sarah-N-Gio's is a nice addition to Ridgeway. The pizza and subs is good! Things I've tried and would recommend: pizza (pick your own toppings), meatball sub, and turkey sub. Call ahead so your order be ready. There is no inside seating, just picnic tables in the screened area. The staff is very polite, warm, and very friendly.

    Sausage calzone

We were on our way home from vacation and were hungry for a late lunch. We found Sarah and Geo's online with excellent reviews, and prefer independent restaurants over chains, so we decided to stop in. We found a restaurant that was well deserving of their very high ratings, not only for the friendly and competent service, the impeccably clean facility and restrooms, but also for the delicious food with such a wide variety of choices. I would definitely recommend trying the fried portobello mushrooms which were indescribably delicious as well as the garlic knots which would have been right at home on a table at any fine dining establishment. We also enjoyed mozzarella sticks, an exceptionally good pizza with pepperoni and sausage, and my husband's favorite of all, a sausage calzone that was well filled with delicious sausage and cheese. We took half of it home and enjoyed leftover calzone and pizza for breakfast this morning. If you are anywhere in the area, I would highly recommend you plan for an excellent meal at Sarah and Geo's and make sure you bring your appetite. Even if you aren't in the area, it's worth trip to get there. Also make sure you get a pan of their cinnamon rolls to take home with you. I can guarantee they'll be the best you've ever had. My compliments to the owners and employees, for an exceptional dining experience.

The chicken wings were okay, but they could use a little more seasoning to bring out the flavor and also preferred that the wings are all evenly sauced. Overall, it was a decent experience, and I'd come back for the pizza while hoping the wings improve. The service was good, the guy with the mustache was really funny. I only came to pick up so did not dine-in. The inside of the restaurant was well lit, updated amenities and had a nice patio on the side. Also, the new location is down the street, took me a minute to find the place. I think they need a road sign or something bigger on the new building because I've drove by it twice until I realized.

We went here for the first time since they moved into the new building down the street. Got there…read moreright at 11AM as they opened and the waitress took our order quickly. We split a large Philly Cheesesteak and had an order of onion rings. The rings came out in about 15 minutes and there really weren't many onion rings in the metal plate they were served in...maybe 6-8 onion rings. She also brought ketchup with them so we asked for some ranch sauce to dip them in....she brought that out to us. The Philly steak came out a bit before 11:30 and we thought it took a little long to make a cheesesteak. Along with the Cheesesteak she brought out another order of onion rings and said she thought the first order really didn't have enough onion rings. I was impressed that she was aware of it. We weren't really impressed with the cheesesteak. It was very "wet" mainly because the cheese was so runny. It was a light colored cheese, not sure what type, and the meat was very finely chopped up. The bread was good and held up to the wetness of the sandwich. My wife ate about half of her half and didn't like it. I considered it just "ok" and probably will try their pizza or another dish next time. I like the atmosphere of the older place more than the new building. It seems very cold..lots of large windows, small metal chairs and tables (no booths), and plywood ceilings (noisy when crowded according to friends that have benen there). They do have a nice patio outside...just wish the inside was more inviting.

Had lunch here today with our neighbors. It was the first time for all of us. Nice quaint place…read morewith good atmosphere. We got there about 20 minutes after opening and sat in one of the booths. The waiter took our orders quickly and brought out our drinks. We ordered 3 personal pizzas and a steak and cheese sub. We had one plain cheese pizza, a Supreme personal pizza and a build your own personal pizza with pepperoni, onions and mushrooms. We also ordered one small Garden salad. 1 sweet tea, 2 waters and a diet coke. The salad was excellent. Crispy cold lettuce with fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, two types of cheese and good croutons with ranch dressing. The steak and cheese sub came out and we were surprised when wee saw the bread. We were expecting a regular style hoagie bun or baguette type bun, but looked almost like a pita bread from the top. I asked the waiter what type of bread it was and he said they make their own bread. It was excellent. Looked like a naan bread almost. She ordered jalapeno's on it and it was excellent. Said she'd order it again. The pizzas were good. I had the supreme and the sausage was real good. We all agreed that the crust and cheese were very good. Two of us thought the sauce was different and must've had something it it, as they didn't rave over the sauce. I had the supreme and there were so many toppings that I didn't pay much attention to the sauce. Mine was very good. We were surprised that they only offer two sizes of pizzas...personal and large. Large is $24.95 and personals are around $14.95. They have a good selection of pizzas. Our one complaint was the pricing. They charge $2.00 for toppings and $3.00 got premier toppings. It's the same charge for either the personal or large pizzas. Our personal Cheese pizza (with no toppings) was $9.50. My personal Supreme pizza was $14.95 (which contained mushrooms, onions, pepperoni, bacon, black olives and green pepper) while my wife ordered just a personal pepperoni with onions ($2) and mushrooms ($3), totaling $15. Seems like they'd charge less for toppings on a personal size than on a large! My bill as $43.97 before the tip. Our neighbors bill for their pizza, sandwich and drink was $32.59 before tip. They were charged $4 for jalapeno's on the side and slices of tomato.
