I've been a member for about five weeks now. I wanted to wait to write an informed review…read more Cost: It's comparable to Planet Fitness. About $27/monthly and $50 annual fee. App: Nothing useful (can't sign up for classes, as an example) except for scanning your membership card on arrival. Amenities: Three lane pool. Functional. Equipment: I've yet to use a cardio or weight machine that needs servicing or calibrating. I've not seen any that were out of order. They could use additional cable tv stations - there are about four total. They have a wide range of free weights, benches, and weight machines. Cleanliness: Here's where they fail. The women's bathroom (not locker room) is old an consistently dirty. I've seen grossness left for a couple of days before it was cleaned up. The gym floor is obviously not swept or vacuumed regularly, either. ALSO: The spray bottles of sanitizer are often missing, empty, or filled with water in lieu of actual sanitizing spray. The paper towels were empty for two consecutive days. Environment: Zero fans over the treadmills, but plenty over the weights area - this makes no sense. And there have been days where the gym itself has been fairly hot. I normally like to work out very early in the morning and then head to the office, but the women's locker room is is hot and HUMID - fine for a Saturday or Sunday, but I can't shower, dry my hair, and put on client-appropriate clothing and not be a giant sweaty mess afterwards. (I should note here that Planet Fitness did just fine in this aspect - they didn't skimp on the AC.) Classes: Don't bother with the spin classes. The bikes are bare-bones and old. I went to a yoga class (one of the few on the schedule) and I couldn't hear a thing over the AC and the basketball court (which shares a wall with the yoga studio). The instructor was nice enough, but didn't use any of the appropriate terminology for the poses and didn't make any form corrections during the class. So I was stuck craning my neck watching what she was doing so I could mimic her. It wasn't a bad class, overall, but you REALLY need to be able to hear an instructor during yoga - craning your neck while trying to achieve a pose is a good way to hurt yourself. She provided options for beginner, intermediate, and advanced students, which was great. I will try another class or two. The staff is overall friendly and responsive. Is it worth it? Sure - at this price point. Would I pay more for more amenities, etc. YES! The last major city I lived in I paid about $140/monthly, and that included towel service, a monthly locker fee, and a slew of classes including martial arts. I get that this place is an economy version of LA Fitness - if LAF were closer to my office, I would've opted to sign up there instead.

I'm constantly surprised how clean the place is , there is always someone cleaning the men's room or cleaning in the gym area and I really appreciate that. The place is huge and I'm never waiting for a weight station. Overall good gym clientele , some hang and talk but are not overly in the way , most are getting in a good workout bringing up the energy of the place. Good music plays , front desk is always greeting and saying goodbye. Gene runs a really tight ship here and I appreciate his management. I hope he's stays around here for a very long time. This is a gem of a gym and 100% worth every penny.

The gym felt dirty, the sales person pushy, the place overly crowded and none to friendly. It's a gym. I get it. You can only expect so much, especially for these places that claim to be low cost. At least with PF you get exactly what you see and expect. With EOS, you get nothing put "oh, to use that you need to upgrade your membership". Just a hard sell for basic things, harder sell for non-basic things. FYI .. the pool is always busy. Don't listen to the sale people that say it's not. I toured the place. Talked to the sales person. Avoid the hard sale. Never went back. DO NOT SIGN UP WHILE YOU VISIT. Leave, think about it for a day, sleep on your choice and then do what you want. It's not always easy to avoid the flashy fast talking pushy sales person, but you will be gald that YOU made the decision after thinking about vs on impulse. EOS could be just the gym you are looking for. They do have some intresting equipment, training classes that sound fun, and a cradio movie theater. Just join IF YOU want to , not because THEY want you to.

I've been a PF member since 2015 and have visited various locations. This one in Osprey used to be…read moregreat a few years ago. After a hiatus, I've been back and I have to say it's gone downhill. Women's restroom has an ant problem (I won't even put my gym bag on the floor in the changing stall - they're crawling all over the place), there's been glitter on the changing stall floor for almost 2 weeks now, and the hand dryer has been broken since at least late December. The machines are filthy (there are noticeable streaks of unknown spillage/sweat that have never been wiped away on machines for weeks), and 3 of the TV's are broken and have been for some time. Additionally, it's my understanding that there are 3 basic rules at planet fitness (with signage supporting all through the gym): 1. Cell Phone conversations only in lobby 2. No gym bags on the floor 3. Wipe down machines after use I regularly observe ALL of the above being violated and no one seems to care. Yesterday someone was having a work meeting on speaker while on the elliptical, there's a regular who leaves all of her personal belongings to "reserve" an elliptical, then proceeds to visit all the weight machines and just leaves her items elsewhere, and I regularly observe people use a machine and just walk away without wiping anything down :( EWW It never used to be like this, so I wonder if the rules are not being clearly explained or enforced by staff. Based on cleanliness alone (or lack thereof) management clearly doesn't seem to care. I'm now currently looking at visiting one of the other nearby locations or switching gyms altogether.

Still waiting for an actual squat rack. Get rid of multiple machines that nobody uses.read more

Well, where should I start? I normally don't leave reviews like this, but this genuinely needs to…read morebe addressed. To any current or potential member considering joining this gym/company, please be aware of what you're walking into. There's an extremely high turnover rate with both staff and members, and after experiencing the environment firsthand, it's not hard to understand why. The culture is heavily sales-driven to the point where it feels less about health and fitness and more about numbers, quotas, and pushing memberships or personal training packages. Members can end up feeling pressured into signing up for services they may not even want. The biggest issue, in my experience, was the leadership. District Manager Jordan Rivera consistently came across as condescending and overly focused on sales above everything else. He would often interrupt or interfere with interactions just to try to close deals, which created an uncomfortable environment for both employees and members. On top of that, the expectations placed on staff for appointments and sales are unrealistic and lead to burnout very quickly. The gym itself is also in need of better maintenance, equipment upkeep, and overall cleanliness. I usually try to stay positive and professional, but I can honestly say I would not recommend working here or signing up for a membership based on my experience. I do hope District Manager Jordan Rivera sees this, because from what I've seen and heard, this is far from the first negative review mentioning his leadership and behavior. At some point, when the same complaints continue to come up from both staff and members, it stops being "misunderstandings" and starts becoming a reflection of the environment being created. Jordan Rivera is the district manager who knows nothing about building a team and being a leader. The guy is passive aggressive and doesn't really explain anything, just tries to confuse you and pressure you due to his height and appearance. Guy is a snake in the grass so please do your research beforehand. He will try and get the staff to book you for an appointment and try and pressure you into an agreement you want no part of. Jordan is also clueless and a thief. He actually also went through one of the staff members personal gym bag and took a meal and a drink that lead to confrontation. Amped Fitness really needs to do their due diligence and background checks and be careful with whom they hire. Jordan is also hiring trainers who are NOT CERTIFIED. That's a liability. Reminder, if you work out there or work for them, be prepared to be harassed to sign up for Training. But then again the whole company itself doesn't care or have a heart to do anything about it. They just want to see numbers. Eos, Crunch, La Fitness, Planet Fitness and Anytime Fitness are much better options and companies to look into.

I have mixed feelings about this place. The pros are that it's generally not crowded, and people…read morewho work out here are pretty respectful. , clean bathrooms, and the staff seems to care about the place. So that's why I keep going. I'm not that tickled with the management, as I've been flagged for piggybacking on another member.. Wait, two members going in together is flagged as a violation and if it happens again they charge you $50. If they looked up one face why didn't they look up both? Also my workout partner left their water bottle at a station one time, and it disappeared. They looked everywhere for it. Then they went to the front desk the staff said " we don't have any from today" they said well. "Will you look around?" Answer was " We have this one but it's been here for weeks" of course it was my workout partners water.,.. Also, they play music I don't particularly care for, and they play it way too loud. I measured it one day at 82 DB. They did turn it down after about an hour or so, but it pounds the senses. Maybe others like it. So it's a mixed bag for me, if you bring your own headphones, you're probably okay. Just don't piggyback!

First off do not expect the quality of fitness facilities like LA Fit, they took over from Around…read morethe Clock Fitness and haven't remodeled really or updated any machines. They do have more amenities I believe than the big box fitness facilities but they just lack sense of emergency for the upkeep of them (example being their Sauna hasn't been working since July). Instead of the weight plates being scattered throughout the facility I wish they were assigned areas that were centrally located so I don't have waste my time walking around the whole facility for them. They have signs posted everywhere to rerack weights, you would think team members would enforce it. The positives are minimal, I do enjoy the 24/7 aspect of it, but for the negative reasons I tend to go elsewhere. It's arguably the cheapest monthly payment you could make for a membership. Most of my friends who I lift with definitely agree with the points I've made which I guess is a plus and minus (plus being cheap as heck and them being to handle multiple gym memberships and a minus that they haven't committed solely to Amped ) I can only base my customer experience/team experience from the first time being there when they are staffed. They do seem friendly and not personal trainer pushers. All in all I give this location of Amped Fitness a solid 7/10, when I'm unable to go to my primary gym facility Amped has most of the stuff I need to get my workouts in.

I came into town to visit and I decided to go back to see if it would be possible to workout at LA Fitness for the week. David was extremely accommodating and understanding of my situation.
