I physically had to return to the salon the next day (a Saturday), only to be told they were busy, but Hannah herself told me if I still wasn't happy I could return Tuesday and either her or another stylist would take care of it. So three days later still very much disliking the cut, I called and Hannah answered. She said they were busy and they'd call back (like I'd believe that one). As a "courtesy" I gave them a couple hours and tried back. Hannah again answered and was starting to push back, so she put one of the owners on the phone, who ultimately just told me to take my business elsewhere. Well, that part is a given, but still a very unfortunate combination - poor haircut combined with poor service. As the owner herself said on the phone, there are plenty of other places I can go. I'd suggest anyone reading these reviews also take that advice.

OMG, such an amazing spa. Been here twice now with a friend and was originally nervous because I've only ever had gel once before and I really didn't like it but here, OMG. I got liquid gel nails while my friend got acrylic, both times they gave awesome suggestions and while my friend got exactly what she wanted, I got even better so I'm so happy. So friendly, service is amazing. Environment is beautiful and so inviting, love every second it. Got to see their makeup on one of the owners as she was getting her hair done too and omg, def coming back for that too: I love it! Their technology, wide screen tv, cushiony chairs and just welcoming she warm attitudes in general is just one of the many reasons to come back here. Three weeks with my nails the first time before anything chipped off fully, omg. And I'm pretty rough with my hands, same with my friend and she had only lost 3 by the time we came in and those were only because she works with heavy lifting and opening industrial size boxes all the time so definitely an exception. Everyone is so lovely and nice, if you bring in a picture, they can copy it. If you have an idea, they can make suggestions and figure it out. Even if you know exactly what you want and just not sure how or what the best way is to do it, they'll make sure you leave happier than ever and with how awesome one of the main nail stylists is, they're even there if a nail cracks at night or if you call, they offer to go in. It's amazing, if you're looking for a new nail place or spa/salon in general or really just feel like checking something out, pick here. All three of my sisters, my mother, and I have been going to Sunny for about five years now for everything; waxing, facials, nails, for any and all occasions. I no longer live in SRQ, but whenever I come back I make sure to stop by and get everything done. She's an amazing manicurist, as is her staff. Her eyebrow waxes are to perfection every time (although if you have sensitive skin, tell her so she knows to adjust the wax heat), and her facials (especially the extraction ones) work wonders. All the staff are so kind and accommodating. The massage therapist, Kelly, gives AMAZING massages, and Laura, a new aesthetician, is so thorough and knowledgeable, really gives you your moneys worth and just all around gives great facials. I JUST walked out of a facial with her and I feel completely rejuvenated and cleaned like no other. During the season it can get busy, and there's only about 2 or 3 manicurists/staff on hand at a time, so making an appointment really helps both you and them out (so they don't get overwhelmed). read more

This place is a hidden gem for manicures & pedicures. It is one of only a handful of salons in Sarasota that use "Bio-Seaweed Gel" nail products. These products are completely natural with no harmful fumes or chemicals. I had acrylic nails for over 20 years and these nails are just as strong and durable...and I consider myself hard to please! I'm so happy I made the switch. The main difference at Sarasota Salon using this product compared to other salons that use the product (Paint Nail Bar) is in the application. Sunny (owner of salon) always uses an electric drill to file and buff the nails...this prevents them from ever lifting or loosening. I've been to the competition...they use one very small disposable emory board to hand file the nails...It takes long and the results are nails that are chunky, not as smooth and tend to lift. The prices at Sarasota Salon are also much more reasonable than other salons in Sarasota. I highly recommend Sunny and Sarasota Salon and spa. read more

My neighborhood salon that always does a great job at a great price.. I love coming here to treat myself and invest in something that gives me a boost of confidence and feel pampered. I can bring a design I like from the internet and they can achieve the look I'm going for. I really hope that more people in the Bayfront area come to learn about this awesome place so they can get the business they deserve. Scheduling is super easy and flexible. I was testing this place out to see if I would use it as the location for my bridesmaids salon party. I've never gotten a full set of nails before so I didn't know what to expect. I left with bleeding cuticles and hideous fake looking nails. They had no idea that I had made an appointment the day before an were not ready for me. When I was done with my pedicure they rushed me to pay and get out of there before my toes were even dry so by the time I got home I had to take the nail polish off because it was so smudged. I've had facials from Laura and Sunny that make me feel like a queen. They offer organic facials too, which are fabulous!! My nails look the best they've ever looked, I mean ever!
