We've been getting smog certs here for years. This time we were in the middle of transferring ownership of a car at AAA, and we suddenly needed a smog cert asap on a Friday afternoon. Thank goodness we knew about this place. Other places in the area wanted us to wait. Two of us were already late for other appointments. They took us right away and everything was easy. Ken and his brother are great. I've seen other reviews that complain about them not being there 24/7. Well I believe it's just the two brothers, so maybe these folks could cut them some slack and not be so spiteful when people are working hard, doing their best. read more

My car had the tire pressure system alert on and I decided to drive in to Saratoga Pruneridge Union 76. I was supposed to put air in the front tires and worry about the sensor another time; I left with a fixed concern. Van, possibly the owner or mechanic on site came to the rescue. His curiosity discovered a nail in my right front tire. He quickly grabbed some tools and resolved the problem right away- the fix was worth every penny. read more

This review is for the smog check station located in the same building as the 76 station, which is actually a separate business named Saratoga Smog Check Center, same address as the 76 station. Got great service from Khuong Nguyen (pronounced in American English as "Coon Win," in case you weren't sure how to pronounce his name, like me. He had to do extra inspection work on the vehicle, because I had driven up to WA state to buy it and brought it back, so needed to do a smog test for registering an out-of-state vehicle. Plus, it's a huge SUV (2005 Toyota Sequoia), which take longer to inspect, too. So, he had to charge me a little bit more - he asked if that was okay and I had no problem with that. He spent a bunch of time on it and the total was just under $80. I am quite happy with the price and service I received. I will definitely do all future smog tests at this station. By the way, this smog test business has a separate Yelp page from this one for the 76 station, but for some reason it says his business is closed, which is incorrect. Not sure what's up with that. Anyway, I'll be leaving a review for that page, too, in case it helps tell Yelp the business is actually up and running just fine. read more

Been here a few times to smog my truck, this time around the techs pushed me to leave the vehicle as it was supposedly an hour+ to perform the smog inspection, so I left to grab some food. After moving the vehicle to the smog bay, they called and said the vehicle won't start, so I make my way over and the tech is lurking in the engine bay. I check out the ignition system and they pulled the ignition coil wire off the distributor and tucked in under the air filter housing. These folks tried to pull a fast one, I'm sure they've taken advantage of many other people. I will never go there again for gas or smog, STAY AWAY from this place, you will thank me. read more

I came here to get my car worked on and so had my fiancé, always a pleasure and the price is perfect for the work, no outrageous labor cost. I usually will drop my car off after 9 am on a Saturday and it will be finished by the end of the day. If you pay cash instead of credit card you can bargain the cost. read more

Went to this shithole last night to put some air in my tires, air pump wasn't working so I politely asked the man to turn on the machine for me and I'd give him the money to do so. He then proceeded to tell me that I couldn't get air if I didn't get gas. So I told him ok I'll get gas, then he told me "we're closed ". Terrible service, rude and disrespectful. 5 Stars for the Smog service. Nice and simple. I drove up, asked how much *out the door* and was given a price of $50. 15 minutes later, I paid the $50 and drove off. Too many places try and jerk you around with a bunch of BS fees, etc. They were simple, honest, and quick. read more

I like to get gas here. It is rarely busy and you can pull out on Saratoga or Pruneridge.

I went here when my low tire pressure light was on. I have difficulty with mobility, and it was 8pm, end of a long day. The man came out of the little room, and not only checked all my tires for me and put air in one, but when he found a leak, he fixed it for $15 and I didn't even have to get out of my car. Days later, my pressure is fine and I am still impressed by the fast, polite, and friendly service. I will definitely go back for service and recommend them to others. read more

I used to bring all my cars here to get fuel as it's close to my house and convenient and was never too busy. One occassion I walked into the gas station to purchase about $12 bucks of food and to put it on my credit card. As I just pumped fuel I didn't have my full wallet on me and walked to the mini mart. The young asian man was rude and when he asked for my id he was being rude, which I walked back to my car and got it anyways. I let that go, but a week ago when it was fairly hot I got into the store I had no cash on me at all as I have been mugged. I grab a bottle of water for about $2.00 bucks. The old asian man being smug says is this all you're getting? I said yes, and he's like well you need to buy more because this is too little for credit. So I look around to see any signs that say minimum charge or something some type of charge, or fee I would be charged, and asked him where is the sign? He says well you need to buy more, so I said you know what I don't want to buy anything from you and I told him that he is miniscule to not take the hit when I get gas from him twice a week at least for one car and that he has horrible customer service and I went out to my car and didn't finish pumping my fuel and went to the 76 off homestead which I realize is cheaper and more polite. Again this guy is a rude idiot. read more

Asked him about and he starts wagging his finger at me like Im a child ranting about Im not sure what since he clearly didnt spk much english. WTF! I've brought a handful of cars here for various jobs. Tune ups, axle replacements, as well as smaller trim work like window repair, and stud replacements. Bao the mechanic there is the man. He knows his stuff, gives you fair prices, has quick turn around times, and always delivers. I don't trust anyone else with my car when I can't do it myself. read more
