It's a good spot for date night, or a special occasion, or just when you want a properly- and artfully-prepared crepe and coffee. Their new location in Dacula is a bit further from home for me, but it is worth the drive - and longer. They have an expanded menu featuring a variety of French classics. They still do offer galette and crepe menu items. This new location also features bar service, and their menu has a short list of specialty cocktails and TGG versions of standard mixes. Amuse Bouche: a fresh watermelon gazpacho (served in a shooter) with a tiny crispy wafer topped with Gruyère and apple preserve. Wild! I ordered the Boeuf Bourguignon. One of our party ordered the Sea Bass and another went light and ordered a selection of appetizers. They reported excellent preparation and flavors. Mine was extremely well prepared, rich and full flavored. The dishes were presented like works of art. It was the luck of the day that beams of setting sunlight shone through the curtains and illuminated our meals just as they were placed on the table. The spiraled lemon on the crab cake caught sun like a stained glass window. The beef arrangement on my side looked like a tiny forest, with tender boulders of mushrooms and meat, fallen trees of carrots, a little shrub of Swiss chard, and a sapling sprig of fresh rosemary. But for real - artistic musings aside, this was some damn good food. I thoroughly enjoyed the main course, and of course, I had to get a crepe for dessert. Tout de Chocolat was such a perfect finish, with freshly toasted almonds and warm buttery caramel to offset wave after wave of chocolate flavors. I always love the atmosphere they create. The owner was in the house and she is always such a delight to encounter. The Galloping Galette should be on your short list for great restaurant experiences in Gwinnett County.

Got in right away, might say something. Ordered a margarita and beer and put in knowing we wanted escargot and got our drinks. My was not drinkable with too much lime juice. The waitress took care of the drink and I ordered a tequila pineapple juice. Perfect. Shaken not stirred. The amouse bush was delicious and a great start. Waited a long time between courses IMHO. Did get the French onion soup which was actually very good. Just needed a pinch of salt Ordered the scallops and the duck special. Very rich but so flavorful and want you coming back for more. Unami bomb. The duck side was this unchcous polenta that ate more like a pudding. The finishing touch was the pear crepe with whipped cream, ice cream and chocolate sauce. We will be back and I want to see if we can them to a 5

The restaurant is big, spacious, and doesn't make you feel like you're dining inside a shoebox. Now... the booths. You know those tragic booths where one side is basically punishment seating? Or the table leans like it's trying to escape? Or the seat rocks like you're on a mechanical bull you did not sign up for? Yeah, none of that here. Everything was sturdy, level, and shockingly... normal. A tiny miracle. I failed at my food‑photographer duties and didn't get pics of my husband's or father‑in‑law's meals, but trust me, they inhaled them. I ordered the birria tacos and let me tell you....these things were loaded. Not "Instagram loaded." I mean real loaded. One taco almost took me out. Two had me questioning my life decisions in the best way. Perfect seasoning, zero complaints. Dessert? Also no pics because apparently I blacked out from happiness. But listen here............. CHOCOFLAN with ice cream. Get it. Get it to‑go. Get two. It's a non‑negotiable.

There are no vegetarian options on the menu. But when we asked, they made them. The rice has chicken powder sprinkled so be cautious. The service is impeccable. The drinks are top-notch. The street corn is heavenly. The mole has the right amount of sweetness, tanginess. The spicy salsa Verde is ok, but they charged $3.50 which is pricier. Beware, as there is only street parking, you need to circle a few times during peak times for parking.

Megan wanted a dining room meal not fast foo, so we picked Jinya based on my experience at the Athens location. It was a good choice! There are many restaurants in this plaza, so there is plenty of good parking. We were in after 1pm so the lunch crowd was mostly gone. The restaurant has the somewhat standard contemporary asian restaurant look. We were quickly seated at a window table. The menu is small but has what you want for a ramen restaurant. I ordered the original tonkotsu with crispy chicken topping. Megan ordered the chicken ramen. The order arrived quickly at our table along with some additional sauces. My ramen was outstanding. The pork slices were tender and delicious. I don't know how they flavor that egg but it is good! The broth was tasty but aggressively salted. The chicken topping was just the over the top thing I like. Megan liked her chicken ramen quite a bit, so much so she ate it all, not bring anything home. Yes I would come back next time I am hungry in the area. It was $47 plus tip including soft drinks. Seems to be an extensive bar here too if you are looking for that. Hey if you are across 85 at Costco thinking about lunch, come over here! Even if you don't come to Jinya there are better choices here that you might miss if you stay over there!

I could have 2 of these and called it a day. Delish. I had the flying harvest veggie Ramen. Asked for it a little spicy and added hot sauce. It's got to be one of my favs. Again the broth is a little muddy for me and there are ramen place with a cleaner broth but very tasty. Love the broccolini and all the veggies. The raw onions are a bit much but good. I do like this place but again a bit pricey. For ramen and buns. But something you don't see often, cleaning. Owning a restaurant is 90% cleaning and 10% cooking. I know cuz we used to own a restaurant.

Arita Ramen & Sushi | Buford, GA…read more If you're a salmon lover, this spot might be your next obsession ! We finally checked out Arita Ramen & Sushi and here's everything we tried Salmon Flight (recommend ) 6 pieces of salmon nigiri with evenly thick cuts and beautiful marbling. The texture was incredibly fresh, buttery, and had that rich, creamy finish. Sushi Guoba (recommend) Not on the menu, special. I expected something crispy, but it's actually more like a soft rice cake texture (not chewy). Topped with avocado + spicy tuna, super unique. Beef Shank Ramen Comes with 4 thick cuts of tender marinated beef shank in a rich bone broth. Flavorful and comforting, but I did notice a slightly sweet aftertaste, found it to be weird. BOGO Sushi Deal Rocky Shrimp was our favorite. The eel roll wasn't really for us. Chicken Hibachi Solid and the yum yum sauce was extra thick (which we loved). Yuzu Sake (recommend) Light, citrusy, and super refreshing , highly recommend if you like fruity drinks.

They gave huge pieces of sashimi and a variety of cuts but I wasn't a fan of a few of them so would probably just do a la carte next time but the presentation was so cute. Flashing lights & dry ice smoke Their menu is huge with a vast selection so take your time to go through it lol the rolls start to sound the same after awhile and they all have interesting names The inside is bigger than it looks outside and service was prompt Plenty of parking outside
