We arrived at 7 on a Saturday night. We were quickly seated and drink orders taken. Fresh warm chips and salsa arrived and it was really good and just a bit spicy. We ordered Los Cuates fajita for 1, it was delicious and enough for 2. Chicken, brisket, shrimp and chorizo. The beers were cold. Our friends enjoyed their margaritas and food. My husband and I go to Mexican restaurants for chips and salsa. The rest of the food is just icing on the cake. They do have free chips and salsa here but the salsa is EXTREMELY bland. Tasted like 98% tomato. I could see a few other bits ground up in it, but couldn't taste anything. No heat at all. No cilantro or onion flavor. Adding lemon helped but it was still so very bland. My husband got fajitas and they were cut so small they got burned and dried out. Like eating crunchy jerky. Flavor was okay otherwise. I got quesabirria tacos. They were tasty and very crispy. Only complaint with them is they had a LOT of fat in the meat. I'm okay with that but some people would not be. I also got a pork tamale with red sauce. It was the best thing I had. Tons of flavor and nice size. Plenty of pork filling. My husband said he wished he had gotten that. Overall, it was an okay experience. We would come back just for the tamales. But next time we would ask for a side of pico de gallo to jazz up the salsa because it's nearly flavorless. read more

The service was super friendly and helpful. They offer the Birria Tacos ive wanted to try. The cheese dip tho! Super thick and creamy with small jalapenos if you like them. I have to say it was my favorite part! My son had a Torta. Large yummy portions and oddly enough, the fries were really good. I was shocked. The menu is very diverse tex mex and authentic. After the restaurant went under new management we decided to try it again. Absolutely delicious! We got the fajitas with all of the meat for two people. That is a mountain of food! I asked for charro beans instead of refried beans with my stuff and I am glad I did as that became my must have when I go now. It has sausage, bacon and deliciousness all wrapped together. I tried this restaurant once. It was good, but It didn't much feel like a Mexican restaurant. Although it was pretty good I didn't feel like it was a Mexican restaurant. The decor wasn't Mexican and the food wasn't Mexican enough. Now I don't like the hot stuff and it's good it wasn't in anything I ordered. Such great food and such sweet people. Every time we go here we leave with a smile. My son loves going on Mondays and I love it because kids eat free on Mondays. Food is so good and we love the atmosphere. We also love the convenience of calling in an order to take home during the week. read more

Had a chance to check out Los Cuates last week. Very good food! Excellent wait staff. Kitchen was slightly off with getting an entire table's food out at same time, but it was delicious!.
