Mind you this vehicle has NEVER missed a scheduled maintenance. When parts needed replaced do to wear or out of specification they are replaced. This time they tell my wife she is in immediate need of a battery. Wife says "My husband just replaced the battery in November 2025." Service rep says, "then tell your husband to take it back." Apparent strong arm tactic. I, the husband, having some knowledge, experience, and diagnostic tools tested the battery. It tested all good. I then took it to another mechanic for 2nd opinion. His diagnostics also found the battery to be 100%. Toyota of North Canton was going to charge in excess of $300 to remove and replace a perfectly good component. It is my opinion that if your toyota requires service you should absolutely avoid Toyota of North Canton. I question their ethics and professionalism. And if I question the service department, I must question the integrity, ethics, and professionalism of the rest of the enterprises.

He was young but very pleasant and easy to work with. As far as buying the car went, everything went smoothly. The issues began after that day. While I was there, I called my bank to get the payoff numbers and wrote everything down: the bank's name, address, phone number, account number, payoff amount, and daily per diem. These figures were all prior to a payment that was due the following week, which was fine, since my bank would eventually reimburse me. A week later, my salesperson contacted me to say they might need the payoff information again. At that point, I sent him a screenshot with all of my banking details, including my account number and the bank's mailing address. After two weeks, I checked my account to see whether the loan had been paid off, and it hadn't. I followed up, and was eventually given the name of someone in the accounting department to handle the situation. After looking into it, he told me they had sent the payoff to the wrong bank because they'd pulled the wrong address online. I asked how that could happen when I had sent a screenshot with the exact information needed. I never got an answer, only that he would get it handled. Getting it resolved was the priority, but I still don't understand how they could send a check on my behalf to whatever bank a quick online search turned up. I sent him the same banking screenshot, and to his credit he followed through and resolved it, though it took 30 days from the date of purchase to get my loan paid off. In the meantime, I was about to make another payment on a vehicle I no longer owned. On top of that, the amount they paid off was not the payoff figure I gave them, but that amount minus my payment, roughly $450 less than what we'd agreed on. As I said, the purchase was the easy part. But how can a company handling your finances be this careless? They sent the payment to the wrong place, didn't act on it until I pushed (apparently not a priority once the car was sold), and paid about $450 less than agreed because the payoff amount had changed. My strong advice if you do business with them: get everything in writing, wait until everything is fully completed before posting your review, and if you have a loan payoff, watch your account closely to make sure they follow through in a timely manner.

On April 7th, less than two weeks of driving this truck, a check engine light came on. I had a different dealership do a diagnostic and the code came back as a faulty fuel sensor module. This is a particular problem with this model when you fill the gas tank to at least half a tank. The sensor decides to become retarded. I also discovered during these almost two weeks that my front passenger side drip rail was clogged and raining on the interior of my truck. Called the salesman who sold me the truck at the Spitzer dealership within a half hour of the check engine light coming on, explained what was going on, and he said, 'bring it in, we'll take care of it for you'. Now, knowing that I had the truck for less than two weeks, that implies to me that the dealership is willing to fix the problem, pro bono. When they got this truck from auction or wherever, their service techs absolutely would have put this truck on a diagnostic whether there were idiot lights on or not. I'm sure this isn't the first time that check engine light came on and they sure would have damn well seen it in the computer memory, just like they did when I took it in today, even without the check engine light being on at the time. Here comes the good part.............they wanted me to pay to the tune of $1,877 plus tax to fix the fuel pump sensor. So much for 'we'll take care of you'. Next time, make sure you include the vaseline when you THINK you're going to shyster someone who knows what it takes and the amount of time it takes to work on vehicles. 4 and 1/2 hours to change a sensor? I don't think so. Your 'techs' need to go back to school. This is a two hour job. You know, dealerships have written service manuals that tell you exactly how much time a job should take. Get a new one. And definitely get a service advisor that actually knows WTF they're supposed to be talking about. Serving as a go between for the 'techs' and the customers is absolute b.s. As a service advisor, Becky should have the written manuals at her fingertips as well as cost for parts. I looked up the correct part with the vin number and gave you a ballpark on what the sensor SHOULD cost and also the cost of an entire new fuel pump. You disregarded both and wouldn't even tell me what part number your 'techs' gave. I've been working on cars longer than you've been alive lady, even though I'm a chick, I do know what I'm talking about. Either learn your shit or get a different job, because you definitely suck at it. I had to demand my truck back so I could leave. The manager, John, said the would do it for $850 after me being irate in the middle of the dealership and service department for about 45 minutes. Lot of help you are.
