I bought a battery from them in November 2023 and it just died completely. The battery is not prorated up through 36 months so I'm getting a free battery but they still charge me $82 to install it. I keep calling in there and I've been hung up on twice, it says if no one knows how to use the phone system. I worked there and to do my own oil change myself... only paying for oil and filter... was just over $40... and hearing one of the writers saying they wanna "get" a customer with air filters did not sit well with me... if you do go here be careful of them trying to up-sale unnecessarily... Bob Walthers literally said, "we don't hire b***hes here". If you are not willing to sacrifice your personality this is not the place for you... favoritism is a huge thing here... the new guys get the majority of the workload... managements egos do get the best of them... and when you finally get terminated... they try all they can to keep your final pay.. I usually pay $223 in health insurance... my final pay check they took $686 in health insurance.... my 32 hour check was $40.. they think they can talk to you any way they want.. * uneven workload * discrimination * disrespectful.... management feels they can threaten violence and when asked about getting grievance paperwork they say the never heard of that... then they terminate you.... and steal your money... Called to inquire about a vehicle that was over an hour away. I tried to make an offer over the phone to avoid the travel but was refused sevice due to "must come in to make an offer." Not only do these types of business practices hurt potential immediate sales, but also future ones. As an ops manager myself, I would recommend reviewing this policy or risk losing customers. I brought my recently purchased truck in for service today. I was told my first oil change was free however when I arrived they still charged me. The heater in my truck is not working and they told me they were unable to do diagnostics on it until 1 December. The salesperson, Garrick, whom I worked with to purchase the truck basically ignored me. Was rude throughout the entire purchasing process. Stay clear of their service dept! They misdiagnosed the problem of my sons car 4 times and i took it elsewhere because they kept saying things were going bad everytime i drove it home. The other shop found the issue and stated that is what caused all the other issues they stated. When done, a $900 job cost $6100!! We were a 30+ yr customers and purchased new vehicles every 3 yrs. Mr Mollett the shop supervisor needs retrained or a course in how not to lie to customers. And i even spoke with the owner because we know him from over the yrs and was told sorry theres nothing they can do. We have been dealing with this dealership since spring of 2024, it is now February of 2025, because they have the warranty for our Dodge Grand Caravan. We have had nonstop issues since they replaced the transmission in the vehicle. The customer service is absolutely horrible. They tried to get us to do things that had been done weeks prior, despite it being in our records it had been done and they just didn't bother to review them, not receiving call backs when told to expect them, issues with our vehicle immediately following driving off their lot more than once, and just overall incompetence. I would never ever take a vehicle to them again. And we have multiple people that we personally know that have had nothing but terrible experiences with them too. We are instantly waiting for something to go wrong the second we get our vehicle back and the only reason we continue o take it in is because of transmission issues being covered under the warranty. Went in to help my son purchase a 2020 Chevy Equinox. He test drove 2 of the Equinox that was to be a family vehicle. When they process the loan under his information, was a high payment. So, I had them do it under my information and he be the co-signer. During the transaction, the salesperson,J Hall..said that it was againest Ohio law, to have a loan in one persons name while the vehile was being driven by another driver in a different Ohio county. This dealership had a vehicle listed as certified pre owned on their website - when I visited the dealership the vehicle was still available, still advertised as certified pre owned and the car fax most recent listing said "offered for sale as certified pre owned." However the dealership would not offer their $5000 trade in deal, blaming their IT department for a "glitch." In fact today as I type this the vehicle is still advertised as certified pre owned. This is by definition false advertisement - I don't have time to search ads then research to see if they are just IT glitches or are actually true. As a result I would encourage everyone to disbelieve any ad or website from this company. At best it is incompetence at worst it's bait and switch false advertising. read more

My 80 year old aunt with mild dementia took her 2011 Equinox in for service. The claimed that repairs would cost 12K! They recommended her buying a new car. 5 hours later she purchased a 2019 Equinox with 2 wrecks, 2 owners, 4K extended warranty with a 6 year loan for 6.64% interest. I went in and spoke to the Sales Manager & he didn't think anything was wrong. I stated that she felt pressured & should have had someone with her. There are Eldercare Laws against taking advantage of someone of age & confusion. I asked why she wasn't given an option to a 3 year lease on a brand new vehicle. Our vehicle was in for Body Work/Repair due to an accident. We were told the car would be ready on a certain date & it was ready for pick up, but once we got home we realized not all repairs were complete & it was not properly fixed & aligned & had to be taken to another repair center (in our home town) for an additional 2 weeks to fix what they did not & repair some of what they did do! I went to progressive Chevrolet for an oil change a few weeks ago. I was told they did an oil change and tire rotation. 2 weeks prior to that appointment with progressive, OnStar had to send someone to plug my rear passenger tire due to a nail. I kept having problems with the rear passenger tire even after the "tire rotation". When I took my car to Firestone yesterday they said that that back rear tire that had been plugged also had another additional pin hole in it, therefore that tire was never rotated. I also have an invoice proving that they stated my tires were rotated. If they rotated my tires they only rotated three. You've lost my business. read more

Engine shot due to some springs not being replaced properly. They would admit no fault. Fast forward to the present. My husband takes his mom's car in. They say it's the transmission and will charge $3,000 plus. My husband takes it to Massillon Transmission for a second opinion. The problem is NOT the transmission. He takes it for a third opinion....NOT the transmission. They call today that the parts are in. My husband explains what happened. They still say $100 + is owed for the diagnostics WHICH WERE WRONG. Bought a brand new Dodge Ram 2019 off the lot. It's been in the shop since having it for only a week. Multiple calls, emails to Tim and John. Part will be here tomorrow. Next day, "tomorrow". And so on for over a month. Was told to do trade-in program to fix this, that has not happened. Now being told to do lemon paperwork. Was told by FCA that the dealership could handle this at their level and trade in to make right, but that also hasn't happened. Dealership claims to care. Tries to give you the warm and fuzzies claiming they are in it with you, yet makes nothing happen for you. Still waiting on part, still waiting on promises to be fulfilled, still waiting as usual. Most awful experience possible. No one returns my calls, they half ass the repairs even when I showed proof of the issues. I've had the same transmission issue twice now, both times I was late to work and told they couldn't look at my car right away so I couldn't get a rental. I had to figure out my own way to and from work. I reached out to the owners, one responded and passed me along to their associates. No resolution. Worst experience. My car is a 2014 and I pay MORE THAN ENOUGH for it and I get no customer service, no returned calls, no returned emails, nothing.This dealership is trash. Don't waste your time. This has to be the most unprofessional dealership my family has ever dealt with. This is the only dealership that ive seen that lets their "certified" pre- owned vehicles sit without any follow up inspection before selling them to customers. 2017 GMC Acadia sat for 3 months with no follow up inspection. I realized that my A/C did not work in the beginning of this summer. I could the dealership and explained to them what was wrong but the sales man Mr. Black insisted that I somehow broke it myself, saying that I must I've broke over Gravel and knocked one of the AC hoses lose. Mr Black then persisted to tell me that I should've checked the AC before buying the car, very unprofessional approach for a dealership ship that "cares" about their customers. Failed battery shorty afterwards, I then talked to a Mr Jay service Advisor. He tested the battery for me and explained to me that it indeed failed the test. I explained to him that I only had the car for 3 months is there is compensation since it was so early into my purchase, he then said no and I'll have to buy another batter that was close to $270 dollars. After telling him how unsatisfied I was with the service, he then said to me that "I've worked here for 40 years, I know how this works, I'm sorry that you don't understand". With 40 years of service you would imagine a top tier level of professionalism, but instead he showed disrespectful character. I've bought my last three cars here. Two of those were from Nate H. I just have to say that the customer service here is absolutely amazing. I won't go anywhere else when it comes to buying cars. I can be a pain in the butt, but Nate trucked through and gave us a great deal on our vehicles! Now about their service department. My check engine light came on two days ago. The car stalled out on me twice and I took it to AutoZone to get a code the next morning. After they read it, the light went off, but I know not to always trust that. I drove to Progressive and stopped in and spoke with Kyle. I showed them the report and he looked up my account. They took my car to fix it, did a tire rotation, and I had my free oil change done.. with NO appointment. Luckily the issue was under my power train warranty and was no charge to me. But here's the kicker.. I had to get to work and they didn't have any cars available for me to use. They had a shuttle driver take me up to Fairlawn so I could get to work. Again, no appointment, no notice. If that isn't great customer service, I don't know what is. All of my future vehicles will be purchased here and I will definitely recommend them to any friends and family. read more

I lease a Malibu from Progessive . This is my 2nd year having it. I cannot wait for my 3 years to be done so I can be rid of leasing and done with Progressive! It has been in there shop 7 times front brakes keep going out, they cannot find out why.! All they tell me is a sensor, ever since I had it the right front side makes a rattling noise, and shakes, they've had to reset the inside as the radio and all sensors wouldn't stop going off. The back passenger door safe lock got jammed they had to fix it. But 2 years later and since the 2nd month having this car. You go to pull out of your driveway or a parking lot brake and your front brakes are gone, brake pedal to the floor. And they tell me , oh if that happens again drive it to us like that! It's a 45 minute to there shop! With no brakes! Why put myself in danger anymore. It was only 15, 000 miles on it and I let it sit. Because now the transmission light is on. Why!!?? I've been in the shop many times, called, complained, they say they're isn't nothing they can do. So I keep this piece of junk lease vehicle parked. It's unsafe to drive and they except me to drive it. Once this is next year is over , they can have it. Mind you I have leased from them before, but in this situation, I'm DONE! Absolutely terrible service. I can't say much about the car buying experience here because I have never purchased a car from them. As far as service being done on your vehicle, I would run fast and look elsewhere in the process! I had my Chevrolet Cruze serviced here thinking I was dealing with "certified service" in having my leaking axle seal replaced. As a result they fixed the leaking seal but the transmission drain plug has been leaking/seeping transmission fluid ever since. Certified Service, yet you couldn't correctly toque a transmission drain plug? Bad thing is that the transmissions on these cars don't have a dipstick to check level so I have no idea how much transmission fluid I have lost ever since. Would not recommend going here if the simplest of repairs couldn't even be done correctly! read more

I tried to like them as they were close. The people are for the most part friendly just very pushy. The mechanic that worked on my car didn't seem to know it too well. I had to bring it back 3 times (and it still isn't right). The service manager even tried to strong arm me into getting work I didn't ask for, and didn't need.
