    Fiesta Tostada

We stopped here for dinner on our way back from Monterey - such a lovely evening! Service was awesome, the staff and our waiter were so so friendly, attentive, and helpful. The space is a bit small but we managed. The food was great! We shared an enchilada combo plate and got a tostada. Everything had amazing flavors and we really enjoyed. Definitely recommend!

    2 item lunch

I was down there for a work trip and went with a service provider here for lunch. She shared that she used to come there when she grew up and recommended it to me, so said let's go! The ambiance of the place was cute, it did sorta remind me of Mexico a bit when I'd go visit my family. So we get to ordering, I ordered a 2 item lunch plate, I got 2 beef tacos and a horchata. And lemme just say, WOW! The beans and rice were soooooo gooodddd I couldn't stop eating! My tacos, were also freaking amazing !! I was in heaven. And the horchata, out of this world! It was so worth the stop and to eat there! I told the service provider I was with that i would come back there again when I came down to visit!

People were nice, the juevos rancheros were awful. Tasted like a frozen tv dinner microwaved. Will not return.

I understand they have a closing time of 8:30, and was happy to just get served, but I feel like it's a missed opportunity not to just stay open until 9pm on Friday's and Saturdays? Weak! What's the difference? I guess it's just a Prunedale thing. The waitress was nice and offered me a water while I waited. Water tasted weird even with a lemon wedge squeezed into it. To-go bag came fully loaded with chips salsa and avocado dressing which I appreciated. Everyone seemed cool there and they were playing music in the back and having fun which was good to see they have a positive work culture here. I ordered the chicken enchiladas and would rate them a 6/10. Raw red onions on top seemed out of place and it was covered in way too much cheese that wasn't melted so I removed that. The chicken was slightly dry and fine but didn't seem super fresh... I was pretty hungry so I enjoyed it enough to almost finish it. It was a good portion and price point of $18 seemed correct. I think you just need to know what to order here. I came here before and I would highly recommend their ceviche. I would have rated them a 3/5 but don't really feel the need to hurt their score at all but they could do better for what they're presenting.

Out of the very few places you cross by, we found a place that accepts cards and is not a mc Donald's/ taco bell chain. There is lots of parking right in front of this restaurant and it's a quick detour from highway one when going back to san jose, which makes it the best quick bite spot for us!! As you enter, you are greeted by a friendly (and only 1) server. She gets water and menu cards to your table and waits to be called to come get your order. 9.75/10 Hands down…read morethe best burritos in the area, and honestly, some of the best I've ever had! I've tried the Breakfast Burrito, Asada, Carnitas, and Chile Verde, and they've all been worth coming back for. First off, the tortillas are absolutely to die for. They're easily the best tortillas I've ever had, soft, fresh, and packed with flavor. They honestly make the burritos stand out from anywhere else. Every burrito comes with the same traditional rice and beans, and they taste homemade. The beans, especially, are delicious. The Breakfast Burrito is a great way to start your day. It's simple with eggs, potatoes, and your choice of meat, but it's filling, comforting, and exactly what you'd want from a breakfast burrito. The Carnitas Burrito has great flavor, although the meat can be a little on the dry side and tends to stick to your teeth. I'd definitely recommend adding their salsa, which helps bring everything together and adds some extra moisture. The Asada Burrito is a classic and doesn't disappoint. The steak is flavorful, and it's a solid go-to option. I'd also recommend grabbing some salsa to take it up another notch. The real winner, though, is the Chile Verde Burrito. If you're only ordering one, make it this one. The pork is juicy, tender, and full of flavor, and the chile verde sauce is absolutely incredible. It's easily my favorite and the one I'd recommend to anyone visiting for the first time. My only critique is the size, I just wish the burritos were a little bigger because they're so good! Overall, this is one of those places I keep coming back to whenever I'm craving an authentic, flavorful burrito.

All the add ons are separate and cost extra, which can add up in a hurry. El Charrito's burritos aren't the phatty mission burritos we're used to at California taquerias. I can scarf an entire one down myself, but what lacks in quantity makes up for in quality! The meats are flavorful and juicy and I really enjoyed my burrito with basically every add on there was except shredded lettuce. We also shared a horchata which hit the spot. The chips and salsa are also a must add-on. No restrooms available and uncovered seating outside only (two small benches).
