    Fish fillet plate very delicious
    Elida V.

For the first time the carne asada didn't taste all that great. Usually, their food is fantastic, but everything else was great. I'll be ordering next time cheese enchiladas instead of this. I love that the sauce to make the enchiladas is fresh from scratch, not canned. That's what keeps me coming back for more. The fish was fresh and very delicious. They have great customer service. (They only take cash.)

    "Chile verde" burrito Not good

Was super disappointed coming here. I wanted to go to El Zacatecano down the street because they are yummy. But there was no parking. My friend said hey lets check this place out. They are in a little shopping center. I ordered a chile verde burrito. Usually when you get chile verde the first thing you see is the green sauce. Nope, not one drop of green sauce in the burrito and only a little bit of meat with mostly rice. Definitely wont be coming back.

This feels straight up like going to grandma's house and eating an endless feast of food. Mexican food is very near and dear to my heart, so the of course Salinas has got to be the most legit. This restaurant happened to be very close to where I was staying and I'm so glad I decided to pop in on a Saturday night. I was staying in salinas during my trip to Pinnacles Nat'l Park. After hiking nonstop for 7.2 miles, the last thing I want to do is to eat fancy food. After taking a much needed nap, I ventured to get what my body requires after any hike - comfort food. In this case, nachos. I grew up in Los Angeles and had legit Mexican food there. This place reminded me of places like that in LA, and that was truly special. The prices were outrageously affordable. Nachos started at $2.45, and if you wanted to make it "super" with sour cream and meat, it was 5-ish after tax. In San Jose, it'll be double the price usually, and SF easily the same. Not only was the food incredible, the prices were good. Very easily a better option than getting subpar fast food from a money hungry corporation. The price to portion is also notable. You get SO much food for one price, it is quite the deal. I couldn't even finish my nachos because they gave so much. It was delicious! The carnitas are def on top of the list of faves! The sopes were good too because who can resist fried dough?

Under that mass amount of mess is some yummie chicken flautas
    Jemille G.

This place is so freaken cheap! Just recently went on Monday and had a lunch special of chicken flautas for 3.99!! what a steal along with some fish tacos at 1.89 each. The price of the taco has gone up, but hey whats a few cents..its still under 2 dollars. I would highly recommend this place to a person who enjoys cheap mexican food and isn't afraid to enter the east side of salinas. Other highlights of this place would have to be the super burrito and the super nachos. Its the typical greasy type of mexican food, so if you need it come by =) p.s. bring cash!!!

    Tacos Al Pastor.

One of the best Taquerias in town! Only downside is cash only but it's worth it and it's really cheap! Much lower prices than any other taqueria and the tacos are much bigger than your average sized street tacos, they use huge tortillas so even two tacos are very filling for me. My favorite is the Super Nachos with Carne asada. They are one of the few restaurants that use Nacho cheese sauce instead of Mozzarella cheese in their nachos. I love them both either way but I always prefer original nacho cheese. Overall I love this place and would definitely recommend it!

Great food! We were traveling through and decided to stop. Their pastor soft tacos are AMAZING! Great little place :)

Great food! Try the pastor soft tacos. Great ambiance for the whole family or a date :)

HUGE!! More than enough for two people!!! I think it cost about $5.00

If you know me, you know I LOVE Mexican food. I read an article about this restaurant with rave…read morereviews and decided this is where I wanted to go on Mother's Day. Drove two hours from the Bay Area to get there and it was totally with the trip. My son got the mole negro and I got the chile verde. Everything on both plates was authentic, delicious, and AMAZING. My son tried my chile verde and said it was the best he's ever tasted and I agreed. They were super busy because it was Mother's Day, but we were seated after a short wait and our waitress was super efficient and friendly. Several times during our meal someone checked to see if we needed anything. Not going to lie, we were a bit intimidated when we pulled up as there were no other non-Hispanic people in the large crowd outside waiting to be seated. I told my son that meant the food was definitely going to be good, but I was worried about how we would be received considering the political climate these days, but it wasn't an issue. Everyone was super friendly. Will definitely be going back to try other items on their menu.

The place was packed, which is always a good sign, yet the service was still excellent, very friendly, welcoming, and attentive. I ordered the tlacoyos with chicken Milanesa, and they were absolutely delicious. The chicken Milanesa was perfectly cooked, the queso fresco added great flavor, and the chile sauce had a nice kick without being overwhelming. I also tried the tamale Oaxaqueño, which was very flavorful with shredded chicken, a rich black chile sauce, and soft masa. It was much spicier than I expected, and unfortunately too spicy for me to finish, but you can tell it was made with authentic flavors. The tostadita Oaxaqueña was another tasty treat, fully loaded, fresh, and delicious. Every bite was packed with flavor. I also had the atole, which was warm, comforting, and the perfect drink to balance the meal. Overall, Culturas gave me a memorable first introduction to Oaxacan food. If you enjoy bold, authentic flavors and don't mind some heat, it's definitely worth trying.

The street tacos are made with the hand made tortillas that are to die for. We tried asada, carnitas, and pastor. Let me just say all meats were delicious. Not dry at all and super flavorful.! But the pastor stole the show. The pineapple flavor shines through with the pork and it literally is the best pastor I've had.! The tacos de cansta were amazing.! Get there early to get the chicharrón filling. They sell out.! Add the cabbage mixture to the taco for a bright flavor. Also, get both red and green salsas. Mix them and be amazed. The red salsa has a hint of smokeyness but it's not over powering. The green is more like an avocado salsa. I told the owner that I fully enjoyed his food and he explained the process and I can appreciate the time and prep he takes to make this cuisine.
