Thankfully, using their app is a very straightforward process, and my order was delivered to my car on time. Likewise, the person who brought it to my car was very polite and made sure my order was correct. I played it safe and ordered a Deluxe Burger, with Swiss cheese, lettuce, and a slice of tomato. He got chili cheese fries, onion rings and cheese curds after I told him I'd help out. Greedy greedy greedy but fun. He mostly ate the well topped fries, I helped most with the pretty tasty onion rings and we took home almost all of the cheese curds to my dad. We got big ol root beers to wash it all down with. I visited Tim Hortons intending to purchase two donuts. I waited approximately 15-20 minutes before being acknowledged or served. During this time, I watched the employee complete three consecutive drive-thru orders without greeting me or taking my order. When I politely asked why in-store customers had to wait until drive-thru orders were finished, the employee responded in a rude and dismissive manner. She stated, "The people that drive in the drive-thru are more important than the people that actually come in." She further told me that if I didn't like it, I could go to another Tim Hortons down the street. I understand she may have been working alone, but that does not excuse the lack of courtesy or professionalism. The message I received was that my business was less valuable simply because I chose to come inside. I have always enjoyed Tim Hortons, but this experience left me feeling disrespected and unappreciated as a customer.
