The owner is so cool and a great talker who is warm and engaging. I had to stop in because I love the look, feel and smell of leather and I love western stores. This store don't just carry western boots, but also riding boots, and casual styles in beautifully crafted leather. The women's western boots were very nice and had unique designs. If you are looking for quality boots like Frye, this store is a great option. . While they do have clothing options, I just focused on the leather accessories as a matter of interest. They have wonderful leather bags in various sizes and styles so if it's a bag that you need, the Branding Iron can help you. After consulting with Emory - and them wanting to do a leg lengthening process - which basically is only 60% chance effective, and 5- major surgeries over the course of her life before she turns 15 - including breaking her femur bone in two places, inserting growth hormones, and putting her leg in a halo with a hospital stay of at least 2-3 weeks each time... and a cost of tens of thousands of dollars... uh, no! Second opinion from Children's Hospital - they say, let's do a prosthetic leg! When she was 1.5 years old, they made a plastic leg to slip over her short leg, at a cost of $13,000. Yes, $13K for a piece of injection molded plastic. She tried it for 2 months, and it was heavy, she lugged it as a toddler, and it hurt her foot which had to be pointed downward. I consulted my uncle who is a Chiropractor in Ohio, and he said he has seen lots of PFFD patients. He said the "normal" route is simply a custom shoe lift - and regular visits to the Chiropractor. DUH! So I called all over North GA, and was recommended this big hearted fellow named Jim Foley, whom many I called apprenticed under his guidance many years ago. He saw my daughter, and made her a first set of lift shoes when she was just shy of 2 years old. He was our angel in disguise! She just turned 6, and is on her 4th pair of shoes that Jim custom makes, at a cost of pennies compared to what Emory and Children's wanted to charge! Literally, she can run, jump, and be a normal kid. Praise be God, and thank you Jesus for Jim Foley! I cannot recommend him and his craft enough. His little quaint cottage up in the mountains says a lot about his personal care. If you want personal attention, let the master help you with any shoe problem you may have. 5 stars to my buddy Jim! I was also pleasantly surprised that they brought me the left over fabric, from my re-upholstery job. It is not too much, but it is enough for me to take right back to them, and order a few small accent pillows to match the daybed. (Which I plan to do soon.) They could have discarded the fabric or made pillows to sell in their shop, and I would never have known the difference. The honesty meant a lot to me. And speaking of fabric ... they have zillions of beautiful choices, in all price ranges. They were very patient with me and I am a person who does thorough research and takes her time, before I finally make a decision. I will admit a lot of places would have likely become annoyed or frustrated with me, for taking so much time and visiting the showroom to look through samples, over and over and over again, requesting pricing. But they were very kind and pleasant and willing to check pricing for me on many fabrics, many times. I also felt they charged a very fair price, especially considering the craftsmanship and turn around time and their willingness to do the pick up and drop off. The turn around time was so much faster than I expected. It was the holidays and I had to request they hold the daybed a few extra weeks for me, due to my extra traveling and holiday activities. True to form, they were very accommodating and understanding. Cole Haan is one of my favorite brands, for its timeless and classy style. Even when I was in my…read moreearly 20s, while most of my peers went crazy for Coach, I always would get the beautifully crafted, understated handbags from Cole Haan. Later as Michael Kors picked up steam, I refused to give in (because sometimes I just purposefully avoid super popular things) and stuck by my lovely Cole Haan bags. My tastes have evolved slightly and when I come to North Georgia Premium Outlets, I now also stop at Kate Spade. But there is something about the leather of Cole Haan products. It is buttery and again, timeless. While saffiano leather has become really trendy, I will fall for buttery leather over and over again. My purses from Cole Haan have survived regular use and at times, abuse. They just stand up to anything and the leather stays soft. I do care for my leather products by applying leather lotion and treating them for rain and whatnot, but I imagine that Cole Haan products could probably go for a couple years without any over-the-top coddling. Recently, I have discovered the deliciousness of Cole Haan footwear. Geez. I have officially become a Cole Haan fangirl and I don't care who knows about it.

When I can look at a pair of gloves from across the room and see that they are a very fine leather that tells me all I need to know. When the leather bags and shoes look and feel like quality leather, I am sold. It takes a lot of time to go into a store, check the fabric, read the tags, check the seams and all of that nonsense. However, you really have to do that with certain designers and brands because quality clothing and accessories aren't what they once were and cutting corners seems to be the order of the day. It is refreshing to know that this is a quality brand across the board! I love their shoes because they are "grown and sexy" without compromising on style. They are also very comfortable and tend to wear well. I initially came to know this brand through my husband because he really likes their shoes and I was surprised to see that they not only carry a full line of clothing for men, but for women as well.
