I have never been treated so rudely before by a business. We went in to inquire about a tuxedo rental and off the bat it was a very rude welcome. I had no idea they worked on appointments so I asked if I could make one. During that time I asked the cost and timeframe and the woman threw her appointment book down and yelled she had other customers to tend to. It took maybe 3 mins of her time to book us an appointment and answer two questions but instead she chose to be shockingly nasty. Rude and incompetent. We rented for my wedding day where we had two ceremonies...one Buddhist and one Christian. I had a black tux and a off white dinner jacket for me, and dinner jackets for the rest of the party (just for the Christian ceremony. The owner of this place through a fit when I explained one of the kids would not be at the fitting, and I would just take his outfit. The kid, my son's best friend, lived an hour away, and I could not spend four hours the day before my wedding, driving to get the boy, drive him to the tux place, drive another hour to take him home, and a fourth hour for me to drive home. It was a ten year old boy, and I really didn't care if this outfit was a bit ill fitting. The day of the wedding we go to open the garment bags and he has the completely wrong outfit for this boy. We make due, but when we returned the suits and I complained to the owner about this mistake, he tells me that its my fault and that is what the fitting is for...to make sure he, the owner and operator of a Tuxedo rental place, picks out the right outfit...I always thought the purpose of a fitting was to make sure the suit fit correctly, but according to this yahoo, its to check his work. read more

I called to set an appointment to possibly purchase a suit for my son's prom ( April 15th, 2023). The owner asked what school and once I told her, she stated that "Oh, we don't service that area". I made it known that I was willing to travel (over an hour) to purchase, not rent, if we found something. We showed up with our son 2 weeks ago without an appointment as he was told at the school that we didn't need one?! Then, when we arrived, a woman owner looked at us like I was crazy when my son said we didn't have one. She seemed very angry to open his appointment book and told us to make an appointment for the following week. We did it and came back the following week. When she saw us, she seemed very angry and was very impatient. She told us that my son needed a new Tuxedo because they couldn't make any adjustment (the school told us we just needed to pay around $15 to $25 for the adjustment since we paid for the Tuxedo rather than rental). Anyway, I told her it was ok, and we would pay for it. After the fitting, my son's Tux jacket was well fit; however, since he's playing Cello, he asked the women whether he needed a bigger size or not. Without saying anything, the woman gave him one size bigger and said it should be good now. She then asked us to pay and shoved us out the door. Throughout the process, she didn't have any smiles and was very impatient. She went in and out to the back of the warehouse without telling us to wait or so. After 1 week, my son wore the Tux at the Concert, and the Jacket looked huge on him, so he called and asked for changing one size smaller. Over the phone, I could hear the woman was very rude and argued with my son (16 years old) over the phone. She told my son that he should know better when he tried it last week, and now he wasted her time. She was about to close the shop (their website shows they close at 5pm, and we called at 2:45pm on Saturday). After listening to her for approximately 5 minutes, she told me to exchange the Tux Jacket and not bring my son. I showed up this morning at the shop and was greeting her with "Good Morning!" She looked angry at me and said I wasted her time; as a mom, I should know better. She gave me the Jacket and told me to leave. When I checked on the Jacket, she immediately took it and said she would tighten up the button (that means she knew the button was loose, but she didn't care before I checked). After that, I asked to change out a hanger because I brought in the Jacket with a nice hanger and the hanger she gave me was a simple wire. She then got furious and gave me my hanger, and told me to leave immediately. There's no one at the shop this morning. When I asked her why she was angry at me with such an attitude, she said she was there by herself without any helper. I told her I'm also a small business owner, but we shouldn't treat our customers with an attitude like that. We're in a service business. She asked me what's the name of my son's school and told me to get out. I read other reviews on this place, and they've been in business for 30 years. Really???!!! So many people gave them 5 stars reviews in the past. What happened???!! Is there something to do with our skin color? If not, then what??? My husband always custom-made his Tux or Suit and never be treated like this. I don't mind paying for a higher price at another place if the school didn't recommend it. A True Southern Hospitality experience. How many of you remember a day in the past where you walk out of a store with more of a smile then you walked in? Not because you got a great deal but because you knew the workers went out of the way to help you out and make you feel special and that you truly matter and not the Ol Mighty Dollar. I called late Friday after I found out that the person who referred me to this business was unable to make any connection on my behalf. I spoke to a gentleman (who later found out is the owner and been in the business 30+ years) and explained to him my situation and how I needed a tux by this Monday afternoon. Basically within 3 days. He seemed a little put off at first. Which of course makes sense since it is local HS prom season but I asked if tomorrow would be ok or if I could come tonight. He said tonight, which meant jumping in the car and being at the store within an hour and practically right before they close. Yeah I am that guy. Normally not but in this case I got handed the short straw. Well I rushed down there and decided that maybe I would be ok. The moment I walked in I felt like they have been there a while. I met who I believe is the owner's wife who asked me who I was and my reason for shopping for a tux. Immediately she went right to work asking more questions about style and measuring for fit. She continued to make sure all was right and that I was happy. Later the owner came out and I had a few minutes to ask him about the business, old school customer service and how if you take care of a customer, they will take care of you. 100% the way it ought to be.. Not for the money but for people. People loving and serving people. I asked him if I could tip as I was feeling very valued and wanted to share my appreciation yet he said he could not accept tips because of the business structure. What a shame. Morality wise it makes sense but they deserve it. A truly wonderful mom and pop type of experience. And guess what they were kind to assist with another customer unfortunate mishap and to help with another tux issue in our household for my son's choir outfit. So hats off to you all at Tuxedo Warehouse. And to potential customers. Just try them. Can't lose. This is my first tux that I have bought and if I ever know someone else in the area I will be recommending them. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. Awful service. The old man who runs the place is the rudest person I've ever met, talked to me as if I were 5 years old. I had a best on hold, and he sold it to somebody else. I then tried to work something out with him, and he was very short fused with me. He then proceeded to go to the back, and scream at his wife, loud enough for everybody in the lobby to hear it. The place is not clean, at all. Since I am flying into Atlanta to attend a wedding in North Carolina, I wanted to rent a tux in the Atlanta area rather than haul one along with me on the airplane. The lady I spoke with was very polite but said they could not accommodate me. She refused to say why and while our conversation was cordial on both sides, she absolutely refused to do business with me or explain why. When I continued to ask why, hoping I could overcome whatever the problem was she eventually hung up on me. If she was afraid I would steal the tux, I would have been happy to leave a deposit for the full cost but she absolutely refused to even consider doing business with me. read more

Wonderful service, great prices! We met the owners at the Bridal Expo at Forrest Hills. They were able to help us find just the right jacket for our unusual country wedding, at an affordable price. When we asked for additional ties within a few weeks of the wedding, they accommodate the request with no issues at all. Everything was ready on time, fit perfect and looked great! After the wedding they even picked it up from Forrest Hills! Here we are 9 months later, retaking pictures and they located our receipt, and have everything ready for us to pick up in a couple of days. Simply amazing service!!!!! This business far exceeds everyone else in customer service, quality, and price. While they are a bit of a drive for us from home, it is worth it to get this level of personal customer service. Go Elsewhere!!!!!! They ask that the entire prom attendees meet to get tuxes in a public place then show up 45 minutes late. Son's tux had two buttons fall off during prom. They have two dogs in their store which stink terribly, they have no seating for you while waiting during ordering. Owner very unconcerned when complained about the disorganization.
